Have just arranged a shift for tomorrow so hopefully that'll keep me away from the cupboards!x

It's so hard isnt it :( But still, thats not stopping me from thinking about 'if' I leave work early tonight as I have ad odd 1hr35mins in toil I might have the last drop of morgans in bed! :eek:

I have 12 sleeps untill my holiday and next weekend is going to be full on with a wedding & a booze cruise!!!!! I can't be fannying around on days when I have the opportunity to pull it back.

Went docs and I have Achilles Tendonitis :( No exercise for 10days, not even walking. Been given 600mg ibuprofen to take 3x a day. I asked what if its no better after 10days, will I need physio or something and he said if its not better come back and theres an ankle&foot clinic we can refer you too (made sure I got that in about physio! haha!!).

This actually sucks. This will take me up to the day before I go on holiday. I'm not pleased at all. After running the half marathon I now feel like such a failure.

After my holiday, it'll be 8weeks till the 10k race so i'm going to come back and do the Bridge to 10k programme again, its 6 weeks long and should get me back up to scratch.

Although on another note, I can now use these 10days off to try and limit food (2meal bars, 1 meal) where possible.

Got a shift tomorrow night, 9pm-7am which will keep me off the booze on a sat night!! :D Looking forward to that one! :D

Oh Tanya, I am sorry to hear that. A friend of mine who does a lot of hill walking suffered that too. It really does take time to heal. She was warned to not walk barefoot, wear an orthotic support in her shoe( you can get them in Boots. Tho not cheap), apply ice packs to the heel for 15 minute intervals over an hour or two every day. The ice really helps reduce the inflammation. It still took six weeks before she felt fit for her long hill walks.
Really do mind it as it could rupture if you ignored it. So glad you went to the doc and have nipped it in the bud.
 
Glad you've got a diagnosis and some good advice Tan :) Don't be tempted to do anything you shouldn't even though you may feel it's improving - just in case it's only the tablets making it feel better.
Just think - after your hols you should be good as new and raring to go :)
I'm not even going to address what you said about feeling a failure - you KNOW what I think about that!!!!! **grrrrr** xx

Well over on cals today. I might not have the just bar tonight as i've litterally only just eaten my lunch. So that might bring it down.

Shift wasn't too bad I guess. Got in with enough time to make myself a salad. Really enjoyed it - think that might be what I have next week :D

Might start 2x meal replacement bars and 1meal tomorrow, dependent on what time I get up. As if i'm up early its going to be a long day working until 7am on sunday.

I feel really bad that i've picked up an injury like this. Its quite serious so I guess I have to suck it up and rest it. Will defo try icing it when I can though - want to do as much as I can to get this sorted asap!
 
Confession: just munched a buuuut handful of cheese & onion crisp & 4 praline chocs before leaving the house :doh:

Defo won't be having the just bar, not only cuz of that but I've forgotten it! Lol
 
Don't be turning into me now!!! ;)

The lad I sit with has got all kinds of 'goodies' open in his room. He can't drink, so instead of champagne as congrats on his A level results his mum got him a bag full of chocs etc :( ... I feel quite strong at the mo - I'm just crossing my fingers for that tired and weak time later in the night :eek:

I really hope your ankle is soon back to normal hon xx
 
Glad you went to the Doc Tanya, hope you follow all the good advice, and make sure you have plenty of rest to it. Best to follow the good advice chick xx
 
I hope its back to normal soon. I was thinking, cuz its on the opposite side to my dodgy knee maybe I have been overcompensating on the left side to try not to do any more damage to my right knee which might have started off my ankle. Either way, I feel a right mess right at the mo!!! :giggle:

I had one slice of deli ham when I got home.

Was up at 2pm today. Got a long night ahead of me but i'm looking forward to it! :) I hope I get put on the main pub/club strip, I love being in the thick of it! :p

Sorry to hear about your ankle! Rather pooey! You could be right about the whole over compensating thing. My left foot is the one that's dodgy but it is my right knee that I've damaged. I know what you mean about feeling like a mess! I feel so old sometimes!

Call me crazy but I love working saturday nights in the town centre. It might be full of drunks, people randomly chatting to me and calling me "short fat little pig" (yes, someone called me that tonight!!:rolleyes:) but yet I've already looked to see when I can do my next! :p

Came home to a bottle of wine, i'm guessing my grandma won it at the social club. I didnt intend on drinking but somehow it opened & poured itself nicely into a glass. It'd be rude not to drink it now! ;)

Glad you enjoyed your shift. It'd good that you CAN enjoy it when it's like that! It's like my son loving working when the riots were on!

Sunday 21st august

*1/2slice bread with butter to take my tablet when I got up as I have to take them with food.

*1wm roll, 1 burger, 1bacon (no fat), 1slice burger cheese, sweetcorn relish
*small (it really was!!) chicken breast, garlic sauce
*handful salted peanuts
*handful cheese&onion crisp

*(too many) Morgan spiced & d.c

Last nights shift was perfect & today has been perfect too. Today was arranged just over a week ago so pretty short notice (to our family standards lol!!) but its been amazing. Both brothers have been here, grandma & grandad came too and its been absolutly lovely. We've had a bbq, drinks and done a sweepstake on the horse racing thats been on at newton abbot (each race, 1horse =£1 so chose 1horse for £1 and the winner gets the pot!) my grandma and grandad love it!!! awww :giggle:

So tonight i'm going to go to the social club with them to play bingo, so more drinks will be had. Got to get back on track tomorrow. Ladies, please kick my butt if not, i'm off on holiday on the 30th but saturday = wedding. Sunday = booze cruise. Monday = rest day. Tuesday = holiday! got to do as much damage limitation as poss over the next 4 days & I stil havent weighed since my 5days off! :doh: :eek: oh god, i'm scared!!!! xxx
