Sounds as though you've had your perfect weekend. Lovely.

I injured my achilles several years ago. I had a growth come up on it. It was really painful and the doc said to be careful because it's weakened now and could go "ping" at anytime if I'm not careful on it! Great! Something really painful to look forward to. Thankfully the growth went down slowly over time and it's OK at the moment. Shame you've got to totally rest it but it is for the best. You can get back to your running after your holiday. You'll be fine and get back to your times no problem.
 
Well done on enjoying your shift. No doubt, if you have a career in the force, the insults will be far worse. You'll need a really thick hide for the job. Have a good week.
 
The insults don't bother me whilst on duty, I let them go over my head. At the end of the day they are insulting the uniform, not me personally as they don't know me!

Today, not been too bad. Woke up early as got my hair done (nice & blonde again!:)) and didn't have anything to eat untill that had been done and that was only to take my tablet.

Going to try and be extra good. 2meal bars 1meal tue/wed/thur but wed I am off for a meal with a friend and then friday I have the night off work so i'm up early for a bit of a pamper sesh (getting eyebrows done & a pedicure)and so i'm contemplating a bottle of wine in on my own that evening :rolleyes: then saturday sees the start of the madness!!!

Monday 22nd August

B- nothing but had 3crab sticks a few hours after getting up to take tablet.

L- 2slices wm toast with goats cheese & polony.
cornetto enigma
rolo biscuit

*slice mature cheddar
*2ginger cream biscuits

D- meal bar

*banana

*water
*glass of pepsi max
*1/2 pint of s.smilk

Oooo I love goat's cheese .. yumyum ;)

It's very good that you can have that attitude about the insults. I'd take it all personally if it was me -I'd be useless. Good job we've got people like you :D xx
 
LOL Thing is, if I was just walking down the street, normally, not on duty I probably would take it personally, strange isn't it! :p x

Hope the ankle is improving.
 
No, still no improvement on the ankle. If anything it feels worse but that might be to do with saturday night being stood up for nearly 10hours in boots, might look into getting a bit of a better pair of boots as the magnums they supply us have no ankle support.

Got my grandma picking me up an ankle support tomorrow in town so that might help a bit too. Must start icing it.

Going to have to bite the bullet and wear flat shoes to the wedding & booze cruise this weekend :(
 
Good idea about th ankle support. I must admit I had a little giggle when I read about you icing your ankle ......

Bought a biggest loser fruit & nut bar for tonight as saw them loose at tesco this evening.

Cut back those biscuits Tanya!! Otherwise your effort on meal bars and bl bars will be wasted. So no mire biccies on your good days!
 
Was only 2 biccies & was saying :doh: cuz I couldn't just have one! Lol

Didn't go much on the bl bar. It had a funny smell that was putting me off everytime i went to take a bite! Lol but it was defo filling, if say better filling wise than the tesco bars.
 
Sounds as though the flat shoes are the best option for the weekend Tanya. Such a shame you're having this ankle trouble when you were really ready to get back into your running again. Keep resting it and looking after it and you will be running again very soon.
 
Flats will be fine hon. You've got to heal that tendon. Heels or running career, just keep that in your head and the choice is simple. You'll have a ball as you won't be in pain, at least not too much.
 
Woken up today not in a good mood. I woke up & thought 'its Tuesday I should be going for a run'. To top it off my totm is due, what's the odds it arrives the day I go on holiday :mad:

I know I cannot maintain the weight without running :mad: :cry: and it's frustrating knowing I can't do anything about that at the mo!! So next 4days (inc today) will be 2mrb & 1meal so I wont worry about counting the cals just make sure my 1meal is low carb & plenty of veg/salad. Although tomorrow I am out for a meal with my friend to nandos, so I will chose wisely.

Tuesday 23rd August

B- meal bar & glass oj.

L- baked chicken breast, goats cheese, lettuce, cucumber, cherry toms, sweetcorn, pepper, red onion, light salad cream, tbsp sweetcorn relish

*yog if needed

D- meal bar

Aww I feel for you Tanya, I know how you feel better when you get your run in, but at least once you have rested, you will be able to run again,where as if you were to run now, then you might be out of action for a few months.

Food looking great hon xx
 
I know everybody is right and its better to take a couple weeks off than to maybe damage it completly and never run again (worst case senario) but its so frustrating. I cant even go for a long walk :(

I'm a miserable sod today. Not even packing my suitcase for my holiday has cheered me up! lol
 
Awwww Tan :( ... don't be miserable :eek: ... You're missing the endorphines from your running AND you've got totm due - keep away from the scales in case pre totm fluid retention gives you a shock ;) - you'll feel a whole lot better once that comes (and goes! ;))

Not running is only a temporary thing, get yourself completely fit and you'll be flying!! :D xxx ***hugs*** xxx
