You could put the recipe in mfp and find out but that'd be far too depressing and you'd probably have to eat another one:D

Go into 'my recipes' and put in all your ingredients and the amounts, if a particular ingredient isn't there you will need to add it to the database in order to then add it to your recipe. It can get a bit time consuming but then you've got it for ever! I made a fish pie earlier, well enough for 6 individual pies so I could freeze a couple. I put the total calories for each pack of prawns, salmon, scallops etc and for the hollandaise sauce all on the database first. It took a little while but I always make it the same way and now I know that it's about 450 calories a portion! Next time I eat one I can find it quite easily to add to my food diary.
 
Tanya, you could search mfp for cupcakes and loads will come up. You can choose the one that seems to fit the description of yours. They average at about 200 cals.
Otherwise divide the ingredients by the number of cupcakes you made and enter it all as your own recipe. Lot of effort !! Personally I choose an item that seems similar to what I've made.
 
Ok done ......... They come out at 303 calories each!!!!!!!!!! Thats without any decorations on top. I only put a sprinkle of hundreds and thousands on them today as im all out of pretty stuff.

So total cals today 1,261
Surprisingly though I am only 10g of fat over my daily allowance ... thought that would be sky high after a cupcake! lol
 
Well that's not too bad if you only have one, or two on a day when you've had a good run:D

I think it's great and really worth the effort to input recipes that you use regularly......going to put my chilli and spag bol etc recipes in next time I have a big cook up for the freezer. No surprises so far.......but we have no excuse now!

Enjoy the cupcakes, have you tried whoopie pies yet? They're 'big' over here for afternoon tea......I haven't tried one:(
 
So that's the answer to dealing with home baking treats - running! Think uve cracked it there Tan! deprive not ... just compensate elsewhere!

Nope not tried them Sandra. I have seen them at the co op though.

Going to my friends saturday night for some drinks and food, its her last weekend in that house before moving (sad times! :() so I did think i'd do a 4miler today so i'd only have to do 3 on sunday (not that I suffer with hangovers just worried how my body will react energy wise with a run after drinking) but todays run was tough on my legs. They ached from the get go so I only done a 3miler.

Forgot to tell you guys this!! :eek: On sunday when I was on overtime I sat with a couple people from Stevies team. One of the guys (we'll call him dick as in head!) was talking to me about losing weight etc, he is very big but still sat there and ate 2 big bags of haribo, a sandwich and a packet of scampi fries told me that I had cheated because I had done lipotrim!!! :mad:

Thankfully someone spoke up to me as i was about to rip his head off and she said well atleast she has kept it off unlike others in this place.

Then last night he told me that burning 1,268 calories wasnt alot!!!! :eek:

I swear, i duno why i let people like this get to me!!!!! My reply last night was oh right and what do you do? how much do you burn off at the gym, he told me 600cals in half an hour on the cross trainer but he doesnt use his arms just swings his legs i just said well then you arent burning 600cals and walked off.

Seriously what an idiot. Stevie wasnt best pleased with him on sunday after that cheating comment either.

Anyways, rant over just thought id tell you lot :giggle:
 
7ucking idiot.......sometimes don't you just want to be able to swing a punch and knock them into the middle of next week......

LOL!!!
I decided i was going to have a word with him tonight and tell him how i felt about it but stevie said hes not in untill monday so i have sent him a private message.

Thing is, he tried lipotrim too!!!!! he was allergic to it though but still! LOL

I seriously think people are jealous in my work place - jealousy gets no one anywhere. (sorry if thats a bit pig headed of me!)
