♥ ~ Tanya's Maintainence Diary ~ Year 2 ~♥

Enjoy!! :D:D xx

Well done on the loss Tanya. All going well for your few days off.

It twas yummy!!! Lets see how chinese food fuels your body the day before a run! :rotflmao: :hmm:

Oh I see - all in the cause of research then! Nice one :) ... What will you research on next? Pizza? :giggle: xx

Pizza ... Indian ... :hmm: I'm liking the idea of research! ;) x

:giggle: I guess my son will be carb loading for the London marathon now (?) - must be the best bit ;) xx

omg yes!!!!! Is he excited? Nervous? He has run one before hasnt he? x

Yep he did it 2 years ago in the not-too-shabby time of 3:43:08 which he's determined to beat. He's taking it all in his stride (no pun intended :)) He doesn't get nervous about anything just determined, believing it's 'all in the mind' xx

Incidentally he's doing the Edinburgh one in May as well - glutton for punishment xx

wow thats a very impressive time!!! :D
I'm with him - it is all in the mind. Mind over matter! and if he is determined he will beat that time.
So he is doing one this weekend and another next month?!! Defo a glutton for punishment i'd say!! :giggle:

Yeah - 5 weeks apart I think. He's mad! (well - look at his mother - never stood a chance really did he? :p) xx

Haha!!!!!!!
Which son is it that's racing? Xx

Second son, middle child, straight one, policeman, father of the 2 little 'uns I babysit most tuesdays in term time .... whichever of those identifies him for you ;)

This one ...

Looking for a photo I've just seen he did 22.08 miles in 2hrs 43mins 2 weeks ago ... on track to beat that time then I'd think xx

Ahhhh yeah! :)

Wow that's some time!!!!!! He will beat his previous no doubt about it! Xx

Had such a rubbish sleep last night. Woken up today and i'm reeeeeeeeeally not in the mood for this run but I have to get in the mileage.

Running part of the actual course again today.

Thursday 14th April

*5.64 mile run (1:03:19 765cals burnt)

B- porridge made with s.s milk & teaspoon sugar

L-2 boiled eggs, 1slice wm rye bread, elf salad cream. Handful extra crunchy walkers.

D-chicken pasta bake (cheese &tomato p.bake sauce not bad at 70cals 1/4jar - not a very large portion either, the bake had to go between me, stevie & my little brother - the two boys can eat for britain i reckon lol So i had less 1/3rd they had the rest between them).

S- grabbed a handfull of salted peanuts & a slice of deli ham when I got in from my run - stupidly let myself run out of bananas!

*1/2 crunchie bar
*1/4 Easter egg

*2/3rd bottle red wine, gin&d.lemonades

Good luck with the run today. Horrible out too, that must put you off a bit I would have thought.

Its not too bad here Bev. Just grey.

Well, todays run was 1:03:19 ... 1second slower than last week!! lol Pace time of 11:13m a mile. Im so pleased with that. As cliche as it sounds the thing that got me out today was knowing that i've almost raised 1/3rd of my target for Alzheimers and thinking Nan would be giving me a right ticking off for not sucking it up and getting on with it :giggle:

I feel fab now that i've done it.

I think what i'm going to have to do is incorporate that part of the 1/2 marathon into a longer run. As that starts at the 4mile mark I think i need to do atleast 2 or 3 before I start on the hills. Might try work that into the next few weeks.

Sooo I've got 4 bottles of red wine that my grandma has won at the OAP club over the last few weeks & gives to me and I've opened one and actually quite like it! So tonight - probs 1/2 bottle of red and some gin & diet lemonades.

Weeeeeeelllllll I am on holibobs ;)

P.s no fruit or veg today  soz Jan :p
