1 DD and one UP day under my belt

T, ok I'm gonna give JUDDD another shot.

Really crampy all day so it defo counts as a DD. going for a DD Tom/wed/fri and will weigh Tom (restarting weight) and Fri. Back to 500 cals with UD on tues/thur of no more than 1700 (healthy) cals. Looking back in MFP-that's how week 1 worked. And no eating before midday giving me a min 14 hour fast daily-but I'm only adding that in as I think makes a diff too and I find it relatively easy to avoid food til then (as usually in work).

I have done sw for years and was actually a sw consultant for 15 months so for me it is dead easy . And I like that way of eating ( just always gain if I go slightly off plan ie eat the way I have been on juddd) for me sw works cos of the no counting calories I despise cc (500 is not an issue cos it is so few)

I think I amt fortunate because until this week I have managed to lose without counting, I do believe that on 5 to 5 fasting I need to be more careful which is why I am putting some discipline in. Realistically it may be more like 3 dd 2 intermediate days and 2 up days.

Ooh hard question

I think as we both struggle with control on up days alternate are easier. Most of my 5 to 5 ups I have panic eaten rubbish in the last few hours of my Up. I almost think making the fast meal time based so after lunch one day (instead of 5 pm) until evening meal the next day. As so far I have been ending my up on choc and breaking my fast with choc . Oops no wonder I gained . Hoping this sw restriction will help that. Or I will go back to alternate dd are dead easy for me on 5 to 5 .
 
I actually did really well on SW years ago. Used to help the lady, collecting cash etc BUT when I returned a couple years later it seemed more complicated than the green/red only days. I've actually just downloaded the ap-but nothing much there for free ( it's got poor ap reviews). Wish I had my old books.
Think I will go with alternate-seems simpler -though I suspect 5-5 would be easier for me (but easier to cheat/gorge for me).

Yes DD today. Weighed in at 10.12 (I'm gonna stop logging the ounces-I always get mixed up about how many are in a pound anyway-and its marginal to the overall challenge) Still TOTM-hoping thats gone by tomorrow, but dont feel as bloated today.

I usually use MFP for cal counting-but last night I downloaded a Livestrong ap, just to start afresh on something new. Same idea-chart/calories etc. Im logging my running too_ dont usually count it but as its Lance's fault I'm running all these miles....

I was 10 12 too :)(quite the weekend gain !!) and just realised I am going on holiday in one month exactly and really really really want to be 10 7 or less which is entirrely doable I think if i keep control of my UP days. Unless i have a dramatic weight loss this friday I am going to go back to alternates .
 
Ok I have spotted where else I may be going wrong with 5 to 5 not only have i been panic eating up to 5 on uud days on ddu days I have been breaking my fat with choc )to keep me going until dinner ...... LOL) Hmm no wonder i gained last week :)
 
My daughter Jess was sick in school, younger one not feeling great and hubby away to Portugal thru the night for a footie game.
I am a rubbish nurse too. Aaarreggg.

Made a massive pot of home made soup, just going for a shower as did a run, then I'm scoffing some of that.

Btw-where you going on hols? Well jell!

4 bowls of soup later, I'm ending today on 272 cals.
Made a massive pot and works out at 14 bowls. Hub had some and I've 5 bowls in freezer for Wednesday.

Great day for me 342 cals :). Then a nice but healthy dinner and no choc !!!! Might have some fruit and yog in a while

Found out tonight I am losing my kitchen early next week for about 4 weeks so essentially until I go on holiday ( we are having
an extension ) so need to make a plan for coping think being on juddd will be slightly easier than purely sw to stay on track if I have to resort to ready meals
 
Good luck with extension. Really, a microwave can go anywhere. I'm not much of a chef anyways. Our kitchen was done in jan though, and 2 weeks were tough.
I've never been to Malta-lucky you.

I love to cook so will really miss the kitchen. I do have lots of home made chillis etc in the freezer and between the microwave and soupmaker I should manage it is just the thought of washing up in the bath etc :-(

Just had a lovely breakfast and my day planned out :) Running club tonight .
