Hmmmm....make the 12 syn sponge cake from the recipe thread and add a few drops of Lemon extract and it tastes like madeira cake. It takes 11 mins to bake in the oven and tastes yum. I put 14 tbsp of canderel in it though but it tastes wicked with tea or ice cream. Don't bother with the filling and save 2 syns so it's 1.5 syns for 1/6 of the cake. Do some green days and make some channa chaat to dip into when the munchies strike you could crush some ready salted baked crisps onto it to give it a low syn crunch. Make some sugar free jelly and have jelly n ice cream. Get some sugar free strawberry crusha and make a milkshake by using ur HexA milk allowance and add a scoop of wall's soft scoop light to make it taste yum! You may have guessed by now that ice cream is my crack lol!

Try planning a few days meals & snacks in advance as you'll know exactly what you need to be eating and won't reach for the naughty stuff when your struggling to think of what to eat. Hope this helps! xx

All wonderful ideas :) Will take them on board and find a hiding place for all the yummy snacks so they don't get gobbled before I get to them! Today is my brother's birthday, everything will be made at home, minus the cake, so I know what's going into everything and I can be selective :p xxx

Aw no :( Hope you feel better this morning. Lots of water and a walk in the fresh air please x

And some broccoli for lunch - Broccoli cures all ills :)

Morning/Afternoon :)

Felt a slight touch better when I woke up but it came back pretty quick, have been drinking lots and will try and get a walk in later before a hundred cousins and uncles and aunties turn up...! Will definitely get some broccoli into my lunch! Had it twice yesterday and quite glad for it :D

Alright treacle?

How was your brother's happy birthday? Does your head feel any better now?? xx

Hey gorj, it was long and tiring! I still have the headache unfortunately, yesterday didn't help and I haven't been out of the house since Wednesday, I think I just need some air. Watching Princess Diaries 2 at the moment but I've been sat on the sofa since I woke up, except to make breakfast and lunch and to go pee a hundred times as I'm drinking lots of water and squash!

How are you feeling tonight? Hope.you're all better, and have a good weekend x

Hey you... Last night was OK but was very very very hot throughout the night and then my early bird sister woke up at 7 and opened the blinds, so I had an annoying load of light in my face for ages  Tried to sleep through it but just couldn't get comfortable, so I'm considering another nap soon...

Have decided to have a syn free/low syn weekend to counteract yesterday, although it wasn't too bad, but I do think syn free days are a lot less hassle!

You have a good weekend too hun, have lots and lots of fun! xxx

Happy easter.xx

Morning! I used to do only EE when I started, then tried a bit of Green, then went off for three months, came back on and started Red which gave me a really good loss of 4lbs!

Reason for not doing Red: I got serious carb withdrawal headaches! Plus it is a hell of a lot easier to pull some pasta or potatoes out and boil them than to go buy meat! I would probably eat a whole chicken in a day, given the chance! I would love to have steaks etc, but my family as a whole are quite fussy and if we were to have such things weekly, it'd be carnage!

Reasons for not doing Green: I over-eat as I feel like I have to have to have to have all my HExs, which sometimes, like in the case of pizza day, is a blessing, but other times I end up having an extra bowl of cereal when I really don't want, need, or like it!

Reasons for doing Extra Easy: I can do a totally Red or totally Green day, just with one HExA and one HExB, so I don't feel as though I'm overeating, and I get 1/3 superfree foods in, which can never be bad!

You'll understand it fine, just relax and don't be scared to go back to your consultant if you don't understand something! Whenever she's doing a new member talk, just go and sit in on it, even if you've been in the group for a month, because it's never going to do you any harm to hear the same thing again :) Plus you have all of us on here to help you whenever you need it :D

I just saw a post on my profile from Alpa, I got so excited! I am so happy she's back :D Happy Easter to you tooooo :D xxxxxxxxxx

Hi hi everyone.

I've had a horrible headache for a good 4-5 days now and it's not budging! Was very much on plan yesterday until I woke up from my 7pm-10pm sleep and then I just felt as though I needed to eat without thinking, so I did... I made tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and measured HExA cheese on measured HExB toast which I had with a can of Pepsi Max, but then ate some of a nachos dish (layered nachos, cheese sauce, salsa and more cheese) that my sister was making when I went to bed. I really wanted something sweet so I had two waffles with Nutella and low fat squirty cream and low fat ice cream, and a couple of biscuits, a cup of milk, and two not-so-nice chocolate-biscuit-marshmallow things that my brother had been trying to get me to eat since the afternoon... Oh and then I ate some spicy corn nuts, two Ibuprofens, a big fat glass of water, and hit the sack.

Today hasn't been good with food either, but I'm OK, I need to concentrate on my revision at the moment and with all the time I'm spending thinking about food, it's not really helping. I have realised I need to relax a little bit with my eating, just for a few days, and then I can be back on plan properly. Still being sensible though, I did have some fruit salad with my LC light triangle on half a slice of toast, and I have been using semi skimmed milk in my tea, as well as sweetener. As I am declaring everything, I had a bowl of halva which felt a bit nostalgic as I am very much missing my dad right now. Also, there were two little triangles of toast, which I know was someone's attempt at making eggy cheese and chives on toast, which I popped into my mouth as I waited for the kettle to boil. There, I think that's everything :)

I did have a really nice long shower this morning though, brushed my hair lots and used the body brush before I turned the water on, kept the window a little bit open, didn't use burning hot water like I usually do, took my time with shampooing and conditioning and really really took my time with soaping, I loveee my exfoliating gloves and Sanex, and nothing ever comes close to that scrubbed clean feeling! End shower, cue lathering on my niece's aqueous cream, so now I smell like her and I miss her because she is 3 days into an 11 day holiday, living it up in Dubai! Since then, I have been working hard at trying to understand how to create a cash flow statement from an IS and a SFP! I was on a self-inflicted technology ban which lasted all of 8 minutes before I realised I needed to watch a podcast to understand what on earth I was meant to be doing...

So there, that's my day so far :) Daal with ghia/lauki/bottle gourd (! just being trying to work out why mum calls it something different every time!) and rotis on the menu for lunch, I am looking forward to it :)

Oh yay, it's good that you know her :) Let her know you really want to stick to it so could she please nag nag nag if you don't turn up one day!

I went to the doctors two weeks ago and had full bloods done, called last week to make a follow up appointment and the receptionist told me there were no abnormalities in my results :sigh: I think, if anything, I haven't had as much fresh air in the past couple of weeks as I normally do, so maybe that's contributing to my headaches? The back of my head, near my neck, is the most painful part right now, it just feel so sore and heavy. I don't usually get headaches, I get migraines, but when I get headaches, they like to make themselves known. While I was in the shower, I felt really sore down the back and sides of my neck, probably my glands then, and my underarms, top half of my back, esp near my shoulder blades and where the sides of my bra go around. It is a pickle, but if the doctors say I am well, I guess I must be well :)

Describe exactly where the pain is darling amd what type of pain it is- I'm thinking it's tension headaches since you're revising for exams.

I had headaches for 4 weeks continuous and it drove me to the brink of insanity. Had to have 2 injections to reduce the pain and a week long staying at mums to get away from London and chill out..

I didnt read the headings there, and saw "Study / Study / Plan / Eat fish.." got very confused...

Then I saw I was in the "Food" section... Fish is meant to be good for brains, innit :D

Don't forget to get enough sleep too, very important with your reading so much and working so hard at uni, lovely. Remember, Granny Auburn has been there and done that, burnt the candle at both ends and starts somewhere in the middle to make sure I passed... Sleep is good :p

Nagz cos I carez... x

Hahahaha! I got a bit confused too and had to scroll back up to check I hadn't gone bananas!

Yeah I'm definitely gonna be relying on salmon to get me through these exams :p bit late to start eating it now though as my first exam is in (24 hrs x 7 days + 1 hr + 9 hrs + 30 mins) 178 and a half hours :|

Sleep is wonderful, it is joyous, it is oh-so beautiful and very unappreciated in my house - the proverbial excrement hits the roof if anyone is in bed past 10am! Although, with my headache, I have gotten away with 10:45am for the past few days ;) I have had lots of sleep and not done anywhere near enough work in the past week! But thank you Jen :) I refuse to insult you by calling you Granny as I'm sure I have many more white hairs than you :p

Eeek, 178 hours and 27 minutes

xxx

Morning :) my dogs put a stop to sleeping past 6 most days. If they let me have that long....! I'm ready for lunch by 10:45 haha

Hope you're feeling better this morning, reckon its stress-tummy? Maybe add one more line to your plans - 20 minutes per day relaxation... yoga or something. Meditation. Laying on the floor spread out like a starfish... whatever helps :)

Ps a week is ages away yet, you'll be fine, I know it :)
