Morning! Feeling different but no better lol. Headache seems to have subsided, but now have full blown flu symptoms so it kind of evens out. My throat is absolutely raw and my swollen glands are making it painful to turn my head.
I get tonsilitis quite often and was in fact supposed to have them removed before my son was born 9 years ago, but I chickened out in case it did anything to my singing voice lol
Plans for the day are as follows.
Breakfast will be pure comfort food, while still being on plan -- tea, toast and poached eggs.
Lunch, I'm thinking a SW fry up.
No idea for dinner yet, but OH will be in charge of the house from noon onwards, as I'm comandeering the laptop and dragging it into the bed with me, as well as my crochet. I'm going to laze about in the bed, feeling sorry for myself. I was supposed to go to a protest march this morning, but that's gone well out the window.
Had to cancel a weekend away next week for my friend's hen -- I just don't have the money this close to Christmas. It's as simple as that. She's been on at me to get a loan from somewhere, but to be honest, I can't be dealing with paying back loans. I struggle enough with money (or the lack thereof) without adding another bill. I just hope she understands. I'll be there in spirit haha.
Working on a coat for Fia at the minute, but finding the pattern very hard to understand. For instance I started off doing 3 rows for the back, then divided it into the Left Back, Center Back, and.....right FRONT? Weird. Anyway I shall keep going and if it's all going wrong I'll ask for advice at crochet group next Thursday. Here's a link if anyone wants to see what it's supposed to look like
Ravelry: Victorian Coat pattern by Annastasia Cruz
Have to do most of my Santa shopping on Tuesday.
Tiffany wants a new phone -- 100 euro
Jared wants a PS3 game and a controller -- 100 euro
Fia wants a dolly and a pram -- 100 euro
OH wants a PS3 game and a controller (big kid) -- 100 euro
They're the most expensive items, and I'll get them out of the way Tuesday.
I've been humming and hawing all year about what I want for Christmas. No point in asking people to buy me clothes, even though I have none, simply because I'm the type of person who likes to hold on to presents, and when I go down another size I'll have to get rid. Have been thinking lately of the new Kindle Fire HD though.
No idea what to get the rest of the family. Have my Mother, two brothers, Nan, Uncle, Niece, and SIL to buy for.
