Preheat the oven to 180 ish. I peeled the potatoes, sliced them a couple of mm thick and layered them in a dish.
I made up some stock, added a few spoonfuls of ff fromage frais so the mixture was creamy but still runny. I added some crushed garlic and pepper to the mix and then poured it over the potatoes so it went to the top of the dish.
I put it in the oven for 45mins. Because I'd sort of overfilled the dish with potato I covered it for the first 20mins to make sure the top potatoes softened. I left it uncovered for the last 25mins to get the top crispy. Voila!
They'd be even better if you mixed your Hex A of cheese in, maybe a bit on the top! Perhaps even Philly Light in the mix...
