2015 and It's Now or Never!

Hi Emm

Is it a laptop you are looking at ? We fairly recently bought some Toshiba's as training kit and they are working out really well and were not over priced. Our kit is in sets of 6 - but when going for a new model, we always buy one first to test reliability - I usually have it to test, and to be honest I don't really handle with kid gloves as our trainers tend not to be particularly careful and we need kit which can withstand a certain amount of rough handling as it is moved (or shipped) from location to location - and of course boot up and be ready to go when set up onsite. These have been spot on and the last batch have been in situ for about 6 months and are performing great so far. Incidentally my own laptop is a higher spec Tosh (a smaller and lighter model of the same) and it is great, so I would recommend.

Hope the pain in your shoulder has subsided with the injection and that you get a good nights sleep.

Nelli

No..Not a laptop..did have one of those but hated it so sold it to Sandra.
I much prefer my desk top.

There are some good deals around on those too - have a look in PC World - they are as cheap as anywhere for some of their stuff.

Hope you are having a good week.

Thanks Nelli but decided to go with my service guy.

I hope your computer man gave you some good advice :)

He did and seems he offered a good deal.

Shoulder is so much better and did have a very good night..Yay!!
Up early... (can't believe that I am being such an early bird lately.. :D

Mr comp guy arrived and did a few things to this one and we agreed on a new one which will be Windows 7 (I think.. ) at a cost of £417 which includes a new keyboard and mouse and all the change over.

Booked up to see "A Chorus Line" at the London Palladium on November 20th by coach...That's another thing off my bucket list..going to the Palladium..

At last got round to altering my bedspread so it fits properly. Also made some cushion covers out of old velveteen curtains to give to a charity shop. Am just wondering whether they will accept them as altho the filling will be of nonflammable material does it have to have a label attached to prove it?!

Diet has gone well today apart from not keeping my carbs very low.

Breakfast - Oats 35g + Honey 1Tablspn
Lunch - Bacon 65g + Eggs poached 2
Snack - Conference Pear
Dinner - Meat Balls home made 2 + Cabbage 110g + Carrot 55g

Another bright and breezy day (metaphorically speaking.. :D )
altho' tis true it has been gloriously sunny and warm!

Phone call today from a lady in my U3A group to say that the man who holds it had a heart attack last night and has died. It just doesn't seem true as he was such a lively and young looking guy.

Carpet man came and measured up and with the addition of them pulling the old one up, taking it away, adjusting a door and laying new carpet the total is nearly £600. Well worth it as it saves having to worry about getting rid of the old stuff.

Put several gardening items on a freeads site so went down to get them a bit dusted for pickup. Really enjoyed being out there and managed to tend to my lovely rose bush which "Mow & Grow" services guy chopped off at the ground level. At last it is growing again so gave it a good mulch and water. Hopefully I will get out there again tomorrow and see if I can rescue some of my strawberry plants and blueberry bushes.
Picture added below.

Diet has gone well again but low carbing is a nightmare for me! At least keeping them as low as poss is better than not bothering at all.

Breakfast - Crumpet 1 + Cheese 20g
Lunch - Eggs scrambled 2 with Butter 10g + Crackerbread 2
Snack - Raspberries 50g + Cream 60ml
Evening - Ham 75g + Salad + S.Cream 20g
Supper - Banana + Creme Fraiche 60g
Extra - Milk 150ml

I think you are doing really well with the low carbing. I struggle to keep under 100 unless I'm on a vlcd. If you manage to get out in your garden now that the sun is more up and about you should hopefully start feeling bright and breezy every day :)

Sunday 5th May 2013

Beautiful day again!
Out in the garden this afternoon and did some more clearing and cleaning of my greenhouse..am now toying with the idea of getting a couple of tomato plants to put in there.
Was out there for at least three hours and altho' back is uncomfortable it isn't half as bad as I expected it to be.
Put a pond liner on a free-ad site but cannot read their response as it seems to be written on top of other print. Don't know how to sort that.

Hunted out some different trousers..more lightweight as it's very warm. Found a pair of size 28 .. new, never worn ..that are now too big! Size 26" now a nice pair of cotton jeans... :happy036:Doesn't seem long ago I was in 32".

Diet good today but carbs a bit higher than I would like. Had to get something fairly quickly when I came indoors so I could take some tabs.. toast and pate it was which has upped the carbs.

Breakfast - Oats 45g + Honey 1Tblsn
Lunch - Crumpet 1 + Cheese 15g
Snack - Bread 1sl + Pate 20g
Dinner - Salmon baked in foil 125g + R.Beans 100g + Cabbage 100g + Th.Isle Dr. 20g
Supper - Crackerbread 2 + L.C.Cheese 1
Extra - Milk 270ml
