30 day shred!

I feel like I have got a lot fitter since the start so thats a plus and when I last measured almost 2 weeks back I'd lost a few inches. I'm going to measure on Monday so I will update you with the results. I've got to admit, sometimes I really felt like I couldn't be bothered doing it and I've sworn a few times at the tv but now I've (almost) done it, it feels like such an achievement :D xxx

OMG. Just done level 1 day 1. I'm half dead. Had to crawl up the stairs afterwards! Enjoyed it though, like how it's lots of short sections of different things so you can't get bored. Completed most of them, just had to rest a few times.
Ended up doing it on you tube as my DVD still not arrived. My OH sorted it on the x box for me so could do it on the big tv.
Bit worried I'm not going to be able to walk tomorrow as I always really suffer after exercise, but hope I can do day 2 tomorrow.
Took my measurements last night so if I stick with it might remeasure at each level.

still motivated, level 1 - day 6 done :)

Day 13 level 2. Had a day off yesterday, felt a little bit guilty but really needed it! I might try to sneak in an extra workout on Saturday to make up for it.

Hating Level 2 marginally less, although it is still absolutely killing me. 3lbs off this week though so it's definitely helping. My waist feels smaller and more toned so all those planks are doing the job!

I've been off and on with this, I love it but I'm really worry im not doing press ups or lunges properly and don't want to cause damage to myself! I'm going to attempt the shred tonight (nowish) before bed but using 500g cans of chopped tomatoes rather than 5kg dumbells! I'm thinking this may affect my results (just a bit haha!)

I am thinking about measuring after each level to keep motivated, has anyone else done that?

This I what I'm planning to do. Only started today so measured last night. Will probably do the full 10 days on level 1 then measure again.

Just done day 2 level 1. Think I'll be sticking with the modified versions of all the exercises for now!
I seemed to find it harder today, think I stopped more often, maybe still tired from day 1!

Wow. They're great results. Well done :)

I'm doing ok. I'm aching. This is the third (time lucky??) time that I've started it. Both other times have got to day nine, got a cold and never got back to it. Am determined to push through and do the 30days consecutively this time. I'm also doing the c25k from week 4 alongside it. Hoping to drop down a dress size by the end of April. Fingers crossed.

What are you going to do at the end then? Will you start again or look at another workout? X

Thank you :)

The aching isn't good, especially when you know that you have to work through the aches the next day. They tend to go away after day 5/6 though don't they?

You're doing great so far! I'm sure you will push through it this time, 3rd time lucky! You must be very determined and motivated if you're doing the c25k programme along side it too...wow! Fingers crossed you hit your drop a dress size goal by April!

I have a few other DVD's, I like Nell McAndrew's programmes so I will start off on that again. I've ordered Jillian's Burn Fat Boost Metabolism too so shall mix that in somewhere. I might do the Shred of a morning but just pick and choose which level to do each morning. It's a case of sticking to exercise in my room at uni until I'm back home in June and can hit the gym. How are you finding the C25K? I wouldn't mind trying it xx

Yeah i'm finding that the aches are much less today and yesterday :) I've signed up for a fun run in june which is 8.5 miles - don't think i'll be able to run the whole of it but the c25k is to get me in to running. It's one of those things every says is addictive and i love the idea of being a runner. I'm doing ok so far, started on week 4 which is a 3, 5, 3, 5 runs. Not too bad. Going to try week 5 next week which is 3 x 5 on day 1 and then 2 x 8 on day 2. See how we go, if i need to do level 4 for another week then i will. I've also been listening to the John Bishop dvd though - find having something to concentrate on that isn't the running is helping to make it more bearable :)

Yeah i'm thinking of another JM DVD at the end, i like that they are on itunes as i can stick them on my ipad then and do them upstairs. Although the kettleworx is on offer on groupon today and i'm a bit tempted but it's only dvd.... prob another JM for me too with more running ;) Am also doing it in the morning as i find i'm enjoying having to not think about it in the evening x

Sorry, really rambled there lol x

I have 3kg weights too and tried it with them but went back to tins of beans. It's not that 3kg weights are impossible but harder to keep form with. If I do it again in the summer I might try it but I think it's a progression thing. Hope this helps :)

Ahhhh, I have to hang on when going downstairs now, feels like my legs are going to give way!!! So glad I'm not at work today!
