Advent Calendar Girls 10 Week Challenge!

Snap Arctic - Me and you are going to lose that 2.5lbs by next week and hopefully a little 1/2lb extra!! Lets try and get 3lbs off.
 
I think its always super hard to be 100% in the festive season - as there is temptation at every turn!

At least we are all here, trying to be as good as we can be. Thats dedication, right there :D xxx

A disappointing 500g or 1lb on for me this week :( I have been 100% on plan, so I can put it down to one of several things:
  • Water retention due to changing my exercise regime. Perhaps those aching abdominals are an indicator
  • Water retention due to a * week last week that never came. Wonder if it ever will again - my mum went through the menopause at a younger age than I am now, so maybe that's an explanation. I hope so, as the alternative doesn't bear thinking about :eek:
  • Not drinking enough water, always a problem for me when it gets to the winter months
  • General contrariness of my body (most likely factor)
Anyway. I've updated my stats but I refuse to hand back my 3.5 stone shiny *stamps feet in petulant display*


Well done all you losers, commiserations to those in the same boat as me and good luck to those yet to weigh in.

I think the hardest part for us all is the lack of willpower we are surrounded by. A lot of my fellow dieters have packed in for Christmas now and will "start again in the New Year".

Us lot on here are doing great, whilst they will be regretting it come 2nd January and we are going to be very proud of ourselves having reached our Advent target and kept it off!

Keep up the supportive messages everyone as we all seem to be getting mega motivated despite a few of us gaining this week!!!

I sadly gained 2.5lbs this week. I am gutted but it was totally deserved. I just licked the bowl from the cheesecake I was making for a dinner party on Saturday and it went downhill from there - that little slip turned in to a 3 day binge!! I thought I was in control of this eating lark and I thought my head would cope with a little cheat but the licking the bowl followed by a piece of the cheesecake at said dinner party followed by the cheeseboard, coffee WITH cream AND mints, left over cheeseboard on Sunday followed by the "well I have totally blown it now attitude" and I ate what I wanted until I managed to pull it back in on Tuesday! As you can see totally deserved gain and a classic example of how I gained 2 1/2 stone in the first place!!

Lesson Learnt!

Why oh why does such a simple thing like licking a bowl open the floodgates and lead to a downward spiral of food behaviour?!! This is sooo what happens to me- it's like switching an on/off switch and I've STILL to learn the art of moderation! Just when I think I've cracked it, something happens to make me realise the bad habits are still lurking!! Hope you're back on it now hun and NOT beating yourself up! I'm sure it's the guilt that is the evil ingredient!!!X
 
Was talking to a guy i hadnt seen in years last night and he said what you must be like 8.5/9 stone now-whoop whoop!

Yes indeedy!!! I updated the original results post earlier (whilst babysitting 6 and 3 yr old nephews!!) and meant to say......CONGRATULATIONS!!!! I hope we're right in saying you've completed...unless you've extended your target?!! XXXXX
 
No, I think the math may have been wrong last week (and I didn't notice the stats sorry), I've been losing and gaining the same couple of pounds for a few weeks.

Lost 6, 1 left to go is the for sure stats :)

ive been off plan this weekend and proper stressing about weigh in.

I suppose it could be worse and i couldnt give a hoot. Damage recovery plan is GO!!!! :D

yeah,from sat weigh in,only now posted on here cos i was so annoyed,here goes another week,god knows how it gonna go ,out for a chinese fri and coffee on thurs...twice...
