Alexmummy's learning journey...

Hey Claire, well done on the weight loss, anything is better than nothing. Maybe if you had a shake at lunchtime instead of the bar and then had a bar cut up and ready to eat whilst you are driving with a bottle of water on standby for when you make your stops, this would help a bit more. Obviously if you are still hungry after your shake you are not physically able to have anything else, and I feel the bars fill you up more so would be more substantial on your way home so that by the time you reach home you are no longer hungry for a while. Just a thought, but well done on your achievement so far.

Hmm tough situation you have there, and there's probably nothing much faster to prepare than a shake! What about a tetra in the car, or alternatively could you cook your protein in the morning so you can eat it when you get home. I must admit there are times I don't have time to have my midday soup on 810 so don't have anything between 07:00 and 18:00 and feel okay but it's not a good habit to get into!

Just a quick hiya and to say the new pic is fab. You are doing so well hon, hang on in there.

Hi Ladies

Thanks for your replies. I didn't check in yesterday as I went to Littlehampton with some mummy/baby friends. It was a lovely but very very long day, and I am so paying for it today as I am shattered and having a flare up of my Chronic Fatigue today. Taken some Co-Dydramol, and my little boy is playing quietly, which is nice in comparison to yesterday, as he realllllly wasn't happy.

Todays plan goes a little like this.

Shredded Wheat & Milk
Choc Mint Shake

Chicken and Mushroom Soup

I'm going to make my dinner and split it between lunch and dinner so
cous cous and chicken pepper and mushroom with veg stock simmered all together, then once served, will halve the portions and serve with salad and 1 tablespoon l.f cottage cheese yum.

Banana

Lots of water.

I am thinking of making this dish tomorrow for Fri/Sat lunches too as it would be something fairly easy to eat while I'm at work - may be quite repetitive but may keep me on track having that bit of carb to keep me going, and then could have my bar chopped up when I come home - followed by small dinner (if my lunch is half portion) followed by either banana or red grapes to snack on later in the evening.

Beginning to see that tight planning is the key in a way.

I keep forgetting to add my final assignment for my 1st course towards my degree is due in on the 10th Sep ( I know not related to my diet, but I like to add these things as it's when I test myself to the limit for my diet more so) and my exam is on the 21st October. I have lots and lots to revise as I have had to skip bits where I have been ill, but so far my results for my assignments have been ok. I have to pass this final one, so I hope to get my result back fairly quickly once it's handed it to know what I have to achieve in my exam. I will then find out in December if I pass this course and can move on to my next course, next year.
It's been hard work I can't deny, but it's been funny to be honest, as back in February when I first started I was only just at the beginning of my CD journey, and now I'm heading into the final phase of losing weight, and I am almost praying that by next February I will be in the maintaining phase and that by the time I get my degree I will be still maintaining at a low weight still :)

Just eaten my banana now to try and give me that slow release energy, hoping it will give me some 'go' whilst my little boy is asleep x

hi Alexm,
How's it going? hope you are feeling better.
Planning ahead is definitely a good way to go, i like to know what's in store for me for the day as I can't always think cleverly whilst hungry..ha ha!

Hope you are enjoying you Bank Holiday weekend!

xx

Hi All,

Well it's been very hectic the last few days in prep for the party next (or this actually) weekend, but I am happy I managed to lose 2 1/4 lbs this week so that's good :)
I'm down to 11 stone 3 1/4 now, and feeling ok about that, just really nagging myself to get into those 10's - looking in the mirror feels like I'm miles away, and even on the scales I guess I feel like I am further away than I actually am, but I'll get there! slowly slowly :)

Well done on your loss my dear thats ace and you will be in the 10s before you know it xxxx

Hey all,

Just a little update to remind me (lol) and let you all know that my Cambridge Packs have had to come to an end - my fiance's job is likely to be going anyday from the 15th so we just have to stop and save money where we can. I am carry on with Cambridge just at higher plan.
Hoping I will be ok, and on 1000-1200 before my losses have been ok I just have to keep control on it this time. Feeling ok today, as I usually do in the week - its the Fridays and Saturdays that kill me, but I willllll get there!
BMI shrinking slowly, and lbs coming down too, really want to get into those 10's soon, that will be a huuuuuge boost to the system! xx

Hey all,

I haven't disappeared or anything, just a bit lead up to my mum's party on Sunday.
I had my haircut last night, took my brother to the airport for a very last minute decision holiday to Zante, and it's my mum's actual birthday today, along with her twin brother (who sadly passed away last May) so is tinged with sadness too...this along with work just making life busy, but I'm keeping on track and doing ok, so am hoping for an ok weigh in on Sunday (weighing in a day early because of the party on Sunday)

Will catch up with all your diaries soon I promise!
Off to the crematorium in a moment to put some flowers down for my uncle. xx

Aw how sad is that but happy at the same time IYKWIM. Hope your mum has had a nice day and have a fab party, we need to see some pics of your new hair bet it looks ace xxxx
