Always wanted to be a size 16 now buying 14's!!

Group was ok. 2 brand new starters, 2 restarters and 1 on 2nd week then about 4 who had lost a lot 40-60 pounds.

The classes have changed from the last time I went. When I went you did a 13 week programme. Now its broken down into 4 week chunks. So when I have done this 4 week chunk then some new ladies will be starting.

Its good because we get to see what we can achieve. Just had my old diary out and last tme I managed 4 weeks and lost 21 lb!!!

Just sat now with my black coffee and not as bad as I remember, only day 1 though. Not had a pack yet will wait an hour or so, couldn't stomach one yet.

Good luck with exante msjmc I hope it works for you. Keep in touch and we can help each other along. Do you have a diary thread on here or exante? I can pop and see how you are gettng on.

Anyway, lovely weather here today, gonna take it nice and easy today and tomorrow, nothing planned, might have a walk later round the sea front (lucky to live 2 minutes from the beach!).

Hope everyone else is doing ok.

Well up to now day 1 is going ok, haven't had to cook anything yet!

Had 2 coffees, 1 peppermint tea and plenty of water. Had banana and a strawberry shake, they mixed lovely, no lumps so happy about that. Only used a shaker as well not a blender so this is easier if I'm out and about or wanting to keep it quiet at work! Just had a porridge, not too bad but not too good! Think I will get used to it though as it's a different texture to only shakes. Roll on Wednesday when I can have a bar!

On exante , no I have no thread , i really want to be able to make sure i can be mentally into it first .
I have the new LL disc sent to me aboyt 6 wks ago but not played it yet , think i will , so 4 wk blocks now , yes its different i started sept 09 but was not mind set and did only one wk .
I know i wnat this now and i know i need to do it in the summer as i cant in the winter as i get too cold . on vlcd
ho they have a porridge now ? is it still 70 a wk ?
Lovely to be near the beach in a nice place .
how do you feel about the road ahead and do you find LL group metting is helping ?

Morning

It is £72.00 a week. I've gone to LL over cambridge for the support and the group. I know how difficult a VLCD is and have tried Cambridge enough times to know I need that bit extra.

You ask how I feel about the road ahead, I wish I could just fall asleep and wake up in 6 months with it over and done with. It is daunting and it is bloody hard! Day 1 yesterday and already I was fighting with myself to eat something. I didn't which is the first time I have done a full day in a long time. The last time i joined LL I only did 1 shake then quit!!

I am taking this 1 day at a time and not putting too much pressure on myself. I am hoping to at least do 2 blocks of the 4 week sessions. I need a good kick start. I know I can stick to healthy eating and exercise when I put my mind to it but the losses are to slow when you weigh as much as me.

I have set a target to lose 5 stone in total and I am determined to do it this year one way or another.

Keep posting back on here until you set yourself up a diary and we can help each other along because it is hard there's no denying that.

yes keep posting is good , as we both have a chunk to go , also i have another girl i chat to on here and i'll get her over too .
we are all wanting 5 stone off , so will be good the more the merrier .
yes great lets sleep for 5 months wake up and done .
when i joined LL in 09 sept i did my first meeting , we hardly done anything as she had to get packs ready and then the food , so i was a bit cross she never allowed more time as its costly , gee 72 now . but helen if its going to be the answer its good .
with me i never have trouble with starting its staying on the diet , i am going to get a book 100 days to staying on a diet . as she says in there its not starting a diet its staying on the diet it will take you day by day of the 100 have to find the link for you .

Day 2 and struggled really bad. I have just eat something!! (Full carb oerload) Can't beleive it. I felt really sickly and light headed and it was just there so I eat it!!!!

Was doing so well, been for a long walk this morning about 3 hours we were out. Had my second shake when I came in and then couldnt stop thinking about food. Got to the point if I hadn't of eat I would have cried I think.

I was expecting it to be bad but can't remember it ever being this hard!!! I think with each re-try it gets harder.

Anyway not gonna give up gonna try and keep going but don't even fancy a pack!!! Just want foooooooddddd................

helen i hope that these food demons don't give you a hard time .
well i myself , sam and you have 5 stone to lose , i'm in on the 6th but can i can be good till then carb dropping .
 
how long have u been on exante? im not surprised u have trouble with thinking about food!
 
Hi Sam , Helen is on LL , vlcd same sort of results .
its also more money LL as you go to group too , Think its 72 a wk

I was thinking as we all have 5 stone to lose that we could do a 5 stone countdown whos in ?
i thought the first one to hit the stone sets the next challenge ? or anyone got any more ideas ?
as we all struggle .
Helen are you ok ? you had a mind game with eating , i think as your with LL give her a ring as thats why you are paying , but also theres loads of help here .
i thought they were ment to see you few times in the first wk and see how your getting on ?

I'll go with whatever challenges you set the more the merrier for me.

Thee is a pop in on Wednesday evening not sure if I'm going yet. See how I get on today. 'm back at work and hoping I find it easier today, keep myself busy. To be honest it's the petrol thats putting me off the pop in. The class is in a different town see and it's bad enough putting the 40 a week in now! Hopefully I wil be back in the zone today and tomorrow and wont need to see her.

Sam, what diet are you following? are you on exante x
 
S16WD - do call your LC and make it to your pop in. The support they give is what you are paying the extra for.

It's a pain for me to get to my group but I'm always so pleased I have gone.

They have seen and heard it all before and do not judge you for lapsing. You learn so much by attending. From reading your diary that kind of support could really make a difference to you sticking to this diet and achieving your goals.

Good luck - grit your teeth and go for it. The first few days of any VLCD are the worst but the results are so worth it!! xx
 
Feel like crying!! Sat at work all I can think of is food, demented!

hi Helen , sorry you having an awful day with food demons ,right with this challenge starting tomorrow lets focus on postive things like how we will feel and look as each stone melts , think also of negatives too , make a list of how things will change for you once your at your goal weight .

sorry to hear you are struggling a bit today, i really feel for you. I admire you for giving this a go, I couldn't do the whole food replacement/shakes thing, tried years ago and failed miserably.

Your mind has really got to be 'in the zone' with any diet doesn't it? it is so hard too, but determination is the key! I would contact whoever your support on this diet is? They must talk and reassure many people on it, especially in the early days. Feeling sad (and hungry) will sap your energy and motivation, and that is just not fair on you as I know how much you want to succeed!

Good luck, I hope you feel better about everything soon, and remember if it really is too difficult, it may not be the road to take, and it may be worth thinking of other eating plans? Hats off to you and everyone else who does manage it though!
