Anyone else weigh at home on a thursday- wanna post?

Honestly Debs, it sound yuck but the egg with the curry is really yummy and been around for quite a while. A lot of friends have turned their nose up at it but then when they tasted it, absolutely loved it.

Give it a shot, you only live once!

Ha ha - I might just drop one in to the rest of my curry next time - I assume it's just a boiled egg?

Actually I like pickled eggs and may people turn their nose up at those too lol!
 
hiya..wondering if i could join your group?? i normally weigh in on a wed or thurs. really struggling with my weight at the minute. can't seem to grasp slimming world at all, tried ww pro points but was just eating a load of crap basically!!!! too many biscuits and chocolate bars on offer on ww. have started back to slimming world again and i am hoping that this time i can do it. want to lose around a stone. today i had one slice of 50/50 bread..(all i had in this morning) with a thin spread of butter and a banana...then i had a weight watchers bar..don't know how many syns that would be?? for dinner i made steak, sw chips, sw mustard sauce and sw roulade with fresh fruit for desert. would really like some inspiration and help as i don't go to meetings.. btw...how do i find this thread again when i log in??? don't know how to use this site at all lol

When you log into minimins, there is a link on the left hand side called User CP. Click on this and you will see all the threads you have subscribed to. Just look for the title below and voila

What days do you tend to do? Do you have the books etc to help you?

If you want some meal ideas you can get loads off here, and our pebbles is the organised one, she will give you great tips! I've had a couple of up and down weeks and she's kicking my butt into gear!

If I were you I'd draw a line under the WW and start SW from tomorrow rather than trying to calculate from today.

If you look at the top of the page where the blue strip is and find user CP that will show you the threads you have subscribed to - there's a tutorial there too - don't worry you'll get the hang of it soon!

kankles - you are doing great, really are. curry looks lovely and i love curry and egg. thanks for the praise too, i love doing these threads and i love to think i'm helping everyone in some way. im a proper joker! (ya dont say!) and love making people laugh. hope i havent driven the others away who started with us.

debs - well done so far chuck, bet you cant wait til your hols. ive every faith that you'll drop some more lbs before hand and dont forget to enjoy yourself on holiday - dont be too caught up in worrying about your weight whilst away.
this is how i see it-
lets say you go away and put on 5lbs. you have lost 8lbs so far, if you didnt do sw before the hol and went away and put on 5lb you would be 13lb heavier. so its better to have lost before you go and then you come back and assess any damage and you know its only holiday weight not your core weight. look at my weekend away, 3lbs on overnight, and off within days. if you swim, take the opportunity to swim as much as poss.

so , the weight watchers snacks - the cake bars are 4 syns, the crisps snacks are 4 syns, the 2 pack biscuits are 4 syns. so thats easy enough to remember.

Oh curry was devine, really yummy and only 3.5 syns for the whole thing and it served 6!! I luuurve curried eggs, strange how many people have never heard of it, or maybe we're just oddballs!

I do like my little concoctions though, u know the chicken balls in batter from the Chinese take away? Well I scoop the chicken out and fill the batter with curried rice, it's like a battered rice parcel....yummy! And noooooo I'm not pregnant I just like wierd things! Curry sauce and cheese sandwich is another, mash potato sandwich, chilli & rice in pitta bread.....ok I'm weird! Taxi for kankles!

U do a fab job motivating people, I can't walk past the kitchen sink now without thinking...... water! And my sub conscious mind is thinking about breakfast before I've even opened my eyes! Just a shame I wake up drooling, if only I were allowed bacon & egg butties!!!

right whats this about not having egg and bacon butties? why cant you have one.

ok- frylight pan and do frylight fried egg!, if on red or ee day - bacon or mattesons turkey rashers free, if on green day , mattesons rashers 3 syns for 2 rashers. heb - bread or 2.5 syns per slice if weight watchers. thats my usual tues/wed brek.

Aw the chicken ball rice parcel is to die for!!! Serious I got my mam doing it and my dad looks at us like we've got 2 heads! Haven't quite converted him yet but there's still hope!

Ok so I know I can have bacon butties, but not the bacon and egg butties I used to have lol!!!!

That is exactly my attitude - I don't limit having what I want be it food or drink when I'm away but I do drink lots of water and have a lot of salads - not sure it'll be hot enough for swimming but I usually do a lot more walking - I'm expecting probably a 5lb gain but as I think I may have sts this week will make a big effort over the next 4 - lots of superspeed soups I think!

Yay! 2lbs - was expecting to sts as I've been snacking a bit in the evenings - and extra Hexa or b here and there - not loads of chocolate or anything.

so 10lbs in total - another 2lbs and I'll be in the 12s (stones - not dress size by the way!) yay!

Ah well Tracey your last couple of weeks losses have been brilliant so sts isn't bad - good luck everyone else!
 
its a whooping 1lb for me yipsidipsidoo. im delighted - can you tell? cos that puts me 4lb away from the 12's too debs and....... i ate 5 biscuits last night , shame horror of it :ignore:.

move on! biscuits what biscuits? me ? no.
not me. 18lb lost and 18lbs to go . i am a halfway hero. wooohoooo.

come on girls wheres those weigh ins. exciting or what.

Am buying some different scales tho as my ones are as old as the hills and just want to check I have lost what I've lost if you know what I mean !!!!
Have reserved a set of weight watchers ones in Argos that are digital and tell you ur bmi and body fat too , they are half price at £14.99 which is a bonus!
I will let u know if it says something different.

Thanks girls and a big thanks for keeping me motivated - I've often failed doing it at home in the past but this really feels like an official weigh in and I never stayed to class when I went before as to be honest I found them quite boring and not very motivating!

At least you can have your chance to say your piece on here without being interrupted lol!

No results from some of the other ladies? We seem to be losing them :-(

I have got everything crossed for tomorrow. I really really really tried this week, I got in more red days, I drank a hell of a lot more water than I think I ever have, I made sure I had my Hexs and I used a minimum of 5 syns per day! Sooooo I better of flipping lost something this week!

I want at least 2 to take me to my next goal. I'll be a very happy bunny if I can do that.
