Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Oh and weighed myself at my mums.... was looking like a small loss, but that was after I'd gone over syns.... so they might ruin that for me

You might be ok and still have a loss even if you went over your syns today.
If you've been good rest of time then you should still see some results on the scales.

I know what you mean though, I weighed myself yesterday morning n I was weighing at 9st 8.5lb but went out last night n had a fair few glasses of wine n had bit of chicken n mushroom when I got home so I reckon I've undone the amazing loss of 4lb so I daren't look at the scales now :-((

I know, I have been top end of syns every other day, but I suppose today I haven't been majorly over.... so might just forget it and stick to plan as normal tomorrow. I will be surprised if I gain on Tuesday, but that means I'll be very upset if I do... mums scales showed 9 stone 5 1/2 which is the lowest I remember them ever showing to be honest (they always show a lot more then slimming world scales, think its a mixture of reasons, different scales, weighing with jeans on usually on them and not on sw ones and also eating more before getting on them)

I'm sure you won't have gained 4lbs doing that so hopefully you'll still see a loss even if it isn't as big as 4lbs

I hope so, I really want to get to 9 stone for July so I should kick myself if I've undone the hard work really.
I also want to start & buy holiday clothes so I am prepared for vegas which means I need to stop messing about n get cracking otherwise I'll have no clothes

What did your mums scales say last week?

I can't remember as thry usually say around 9 stone 6 9 stone 7 so although i cant help but weigh myself on them i dont usually pay attention unless they say more or less then those numbers. Will remember that weight though as dont know if i can make wi next tuesday so will be good to just see how ive got on (or at least have a rough idea) (brothers birthday is next tuesday so we'll probably be doing something rather then slimming world and running, luckily i have another race that wed so will skip tues training and run on weds and thurs)

Quick pop in, hiya ladies :)

Did manage a loss on Friday so was the closest I have been to target again - 3lb to go!

But it will be gains next 2 weeks lol, had a girly night/boozy sleepover on Friday night with my friends, yesterday was 5 year anniversary with OH so went out for a meal and cocktails then on Thursday I am off to Germany for 5days most meals are provided so won't have any control over that. Just going to enjoy it all and be super focused when I get back.

Totm and totally in holiday mode already I don't want to be good right now :p xx

Have a fab time, sounds like you have the right attitude, you can get back to loosing weight once your back and have no plans :)

I'm sticking to it this week and next as its my brothers Birthday on the 23rd and then the following Sunday I have a half marathon so will be off plan for those things, hoping to loose some weight so they don't make me come out of my target range.

Quick drop in to catch up.....I'm just waiting for my dinner to finish cooking then it will be studying time.

I'm making chicken, new potatoes, broccoli, leeks & sweetcorn n I've made enough to have at work tomorrow before I go to college

Well done you!! plus love your attitude to life. You always live life then concentrate on losing the pounds when life is more quiet, love it. Whats happening in Germany? is it a holiday?

whoop - edited my signature and realised i was one day ahead on the shred than i thought - day 8 tomorrow. Ok so its taken me longer to do it than i thought but am back on track ;o) will aim to do it every day until the weekend at least. That should get me finished level one by thursday - probably a rest day then back on again with level 2 on sat. Hate level 2 - am sure i prefer level 3 - ach well

Morning everyone, not sure how I'm feeling about WI today, I've been 100% on plan but just getting nervous as I was at the very top end of my target range last week so even a half lb gain will tip me over the edge :/ I'm going to book a holiday for next week, as I'm probably not going due to brothers Birthday (not 100% yet as he hasn't decided what he's doing yet) as a target member I don't have to, but not sure how that works if I do go out of target range... will I still have to pay if I miss that week or will my holiday stop me having to pay? We'll see anyway, fingers crossed I shouldn't leave my range but feeling a little bloated.

well done, when are you planning on moving onto level 3?

Down 1.5lbs & got my stone award :)

Well done that's fab :)

Righto, I need to take little one to school now, he's literally bouncing off the walls lol and as its Tuesday they tend to leave books out for us to read to them in the morning, so hopefully will get a couple of stories in before they have to do the register :)

Donna, unable to quote my reply - i am trying to do the shred properly for the first time. In the past i only manage to do so many days of each level and get bored but this time i will try to do 10 days of each level before moving on. I worked out (i think) that with my unplanned days off it has worked out the equivalent of doing the shred every 2nd day - need to up the ante and get cracking as i wanted to do at least 6 days per week.

Am not sure how group works but if you were to gain this week do you need to start paying? I wouldnt worry too much but try to expect the worse then anything else is a bonus.....not the best attitude to have i know but it would save any disappoinment. You are lovely as you are and wouldnt worry about the scales.
I am still up at 8st 9.5lb and feel lighter than i have in a long time. It must be the no snacking and the excercise as i have been eating 3 meals per day. Not necessariily the best choices but nothing that i would say would be too bad. For example today i had 2 slices toast...bowl cereal...going to have wholemeal pitta with bacon lettuce and tomato...cereal bar and chicken and rice for dinner. Ok i shouldnt have had the cereal and the cereal bar but had a small dinner and 530am breakfast so i was hungry lol

Thanks Deb, I know I shouldn't worry but I do find it hard.... especially when I have been on plan, I worry a lot less if I know I've been off.

If I go out of target I get a week to get back into it, so if I gained this week, I wouldn't have to pay and I would only have to pay next week if I went and didn't get back into my target range... but with me not being able to go next week I don't know if my holidays are still valid. I shouldn't really worry yet as I don't know if I have gained, but doesn't help that I feel bloated... that could just be in my head though.

You're doing really well, I'm sure you'll finish it. It's not a good idea to do it with no rest days like they suggest, so I think you're going about it the right way.

OMG!!! Just had to run around my garden chasing my washing, the wind has actually bent my rotary dryer in half and snapped it in a few places too.... I've just left it in the garden, but that means even when we have less wind I won't be able to hang any washing out until we've had chance to go and buy another one.

Morning ladies :)

Good luck for those weighing today! Donna don't worry and stress yourself out, let us know how you get along.

I ate like a pig yesterday. I literally cleared out the cupboards of cr*p.... which included, trifle, chocolate bars, crisps, crispy chicken!!

So this morning I woke up and thought I'd go do a SW food shop. Was very impressed that it came in at only £61 and that included free nappies which Sainsburys are doing if you spend over £50. Lots of fresh meat, fruit, veg, potatos and lots for OH's lunches.

Feeling good :)

Hi everyone

How's everyone doing ?
Well done Deb on the shred your doing great keep going huni ;-)
How was wi Donna hope it was a good result :)
How's your shoulder vicky ? Hope you feeling better r u off work ?

I just wanted ask for some advise my girls have asked if they can follow slimming world they are 12 and 10 this year, although they are not massively over weight when I've done their bmi before they are about a stone over each but as they are growing all the time I've never really made a big thing of it plus they swim 3 times a week and do 2hours of gymnastics.
Obviously since I've been doing sw they eat the same meals as me but don't track in between.
What do you think ladies shall I let them follow it completely or do you think it's encouraging the whole "diet" world to them.
My 12 year old has come home tonight saying her and her friends are all talking about how much they weigh and that they are overweight, and that need to go on a diet, so I'm thinking if she does sw then its a healthy diet not giving things up to lose a big amount quickly but not manageable like I did in my teens.
If I let them follow it completely is there a different plan for kids/teens ? Does anyone that go to a club, is there kids there ?
Any advise be great ladies I know you will be honest with me
Thanks
Oh I'm doing ok not been 100% but not be a disaster neither so feeling good and in control and still on the squat challenge done 105 today woohoo xxx

Glad you're feeling food, the shop sounds great. We're running really low on fruit, but I don't want to walk into our little town and get any as we'll be shopping Thursday after at ALDI and it will be a lot cheaper there.

We have some kids at our group, older then your children though.... one of them's just turned 16 so she's having to start paying now and the others are younger but I'm not sure how old exactly. Do you go to group? You could bring them along and they can join for free, they don't focus on weight loss with the younger ones and more just healthy eating. Personally though with yours I wouldn't take them to group, as I would worry it would get them too obsessed with weight quite early on (especially with them already talking about weight with friends)

I think with the younger ones the plan is basically follow it as usual, but they're allowed unlimited healthy extra's... I don't think they're encouraged to count syns either... but maybe with yours just get them to have one or two treats a day (obviously depending on what it is they're having)

I'd discourage them from focusing too much on what they loose or how much they weigh though, if you let them do it with you make sure they understand its to be healthy and maybe hide the scales from them, let them weigh once a week with you (I'd be tempted to say not let them see how much they weigh)

If you help them do it at least you know they're loosing weight in a healthy way and they know they can come to you for help and advice and you can keep a close eye on what they're doing, rather then if they decide to go behind your back and start loosing weight by not eating ect. it is a difficult one though isn't it, they're so fragile at that age bless them.

Weigh in wasn't bad at all ladies, thank you :) I lost half a lb, at first I was a bit annoyed and thought oh I deserve more but considering I was worried I'd gain as I felt bloated and also the fact that I'm not getting stressed about my weight any more as long as I stay within target I realised I am happy with it, its in the right direction and like I say, as long as I'm in target I'm happy :)

Training was really fun today, we did sort of circuit training out on the field and I feel great now after doing it.
