Anyone in the 9s want to be in the 8's ??

Aghhhh ladies, I am officially having the worse day ever.

Forgot to get a roll out last night for little one's lunch, so had to make him some pasta up instead of a sandwich, just hope he eats it all, he should do though, he was excited for something different (although he's fussy, all he's have with it was tuna and cucumber lol)

went on my run and only managed 4.3 miles, but I did get a lot of hill training done in that as well, got in the shower and remembered I had a doctors appointment booked for this morning which I've now missed, so rang them and rearranged, I feel really bad now though.

I can't stop eating as well, so far mainly fruit but its just none stop. Think I'm going to go make some savoury rice up now to have for lunch as hopefully that will fill me up a bit more then the bit of pasta I would have had if I went for pasta instead.


I still don't feel quite right after yesterday, I don't know what's up with me, but I just feel a little light headed and sicky :( glad I did my run this morning and didn't want to go to club tonight.

My official start of maternity leave was monday just gone. I had 3 weeks holiday left and so 2 of them should go on this months pay and 1 should go on next months pay. However...... they have paid me maternity pay already!!!! GRrrrrr!!! Im so upset because its made me £300 worse off this month. The problem is its a family company so no HR or payroll :( Besides going to the MD which my mum is trying to sort out today with him is there anywhere higher I go to?

When on maternity leave they are meant to write to you to tell you how much money you will be getting every month and also the first day back to work which they NEVER did!!! Aghh im going crazy and im so upset :(
 
Deb - at my heaviest I was 11st 6lbs when I started SW in November '10, so 3 stone loss, but I got to 8.7 twice & went back up to 10.7 when I was sick with my neck & couldn't move.....my excuse & Im sticking to it LOL! Had a little blip lats summer when my fiend was dying & I was eating crap motorway food, but its been all SW & exercise. Its taken a long time, but here I am at target!

Donna - you will be hungry because of all your running. My DH has an enourmous appetite because he cycles a lot. Just go with it!

Nikki - sorry I cant help, but would the CAB be able to help, or have a look online. Hope you get it sorted.

I have weighed a day early today as Im on nights again tonight, so it was a choice of weighing today or Saturday morning, so today it was &..............

I HAVE REACHED MY ULTIMATE GOAL AT LONG LAST........8st 6lbs 12oz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have spent the last 8 weeks 'maintaining' but slowly losing & it was the best decision because not only did I change my eating pattern by following EE with an extra HexB, but emotionally I felt better with it & it proved that maintaining for me is doable!
So could you believe when I stood on the scales & I saw 8st 6.75lbs, I was totally gobsmacked! The language I used is not for a public forum lol!
I've changed my profile now to maintain at 8.7 & will stick with that over the summer as we have a few functions on, but I will have a re-think & may drop to 8.2, but will reassess later on in the year.
I still hope tho that I see 8st 7lbs on the scale next Friday my 49+1 Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

nightmare Nikki. So your pay this month should be made up of holidays and work days?
It sounds confusing...with myself, i got 6 weeks pay at 90% the thereafter i got my stat maternity pay think it was £123. I then took holidays at the end to spend more time with the baby but so i was on better pay.
Have they maybe just gotten mixed up since you finished up so early? i would have thought you would have had a letter stating your start and finsih days and what you were entitled too as i know i did. Have you spoken to them? sometimes its best to just give them a call and see if there has been a mix up and hopefully they can sort it for you. Hope they do, maternity pay is rubbish as it is x

Well done kim that is fab. I had a word with myself today about how rome wasnt built in a day and i need to be patient and consitent with my excercise. Plus need to do SW properly again. Didnt stop me having TWO croissants for lunch though hmmm!!! anytime i think of doing sw i am put off and iam not sure why. To be honest i think its the breakfast issue - furit and yoghurt just wont do as it will feel like a hassle for me as i like cornflakes. Making boiled egg is a possiblity but already up at 545 as it is but not ruling it out. Dont want to syn my cereal either haha i want it ALL. Any suggestions ladies? I could have cereal bar but chocolate type thing in morning doesnt sit with me well and its the only flavour i really like. Being an ar*se i know but its putting me off. Can you guys post me some Breakfast Lunch and dinner ideas please?
will go on main thread too for inspiration. I need to lose weight before i start bingeing again. We are really low funds just now and i shouldnt have even bought the crossiants so its not as if we have cash for junk that i can binge on - just need to find a bit of inspiration?

I have spent the last 8 weeks 'maintaining' but slowly losing & it was the best decision because not only did I change my eating pattern by following EE with an extra HexB, but emotionally I felt better with it & it proved that maintaining for me is doable!
So could you believe when I stood on the scales & I saw 8st 6.75lbs, I was totally gobsmacked! The language I used is not for a public forum lol!
I've changed my profile now to maintain at 8.7 & will stick with that over the summer as we have a few functions on, but I will have a re-think & may drop to 8.2, but will reassess later on in the year.
I still hope tho that I see 8st 7lbs on the scale next Friday my 49+1 Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have single handedly made me glad i typed that previous post - PROOF that if i put the effort in i can do it!! Kim, so chuffed for you, you so deserve this. Honestly really really chuffed for you. I got down to 8st 3lb not that long ago and can imagine how you are feeling.
Excellent news kim and you will be the belle of the ball at your 49+1 birthday.......whoop whoop whoop

Deb, as you say & know Rome isn't built in a day! I started back on SW Jan '12 (for the 2nd time!) & its taken me 16 months to lose 2 stone, with the last half a stone taking about 6 months!!!!! Its been an emotional battle more than anything, being pure bloody minded & stubborn has pushed me through as I wasn't going to let being overweight beat me! There was no way was I going to classed as overweight on my 50th Birthday lol!
You have to take control of the food, not the other way around! There is nothing wrong with having the odd blowout, but not everyday, just maybe once a week. Have structure in your meal plans Deb, plan, plan, plan, have a food diary, dont go hungry & then you'll be celebrating like me before you know it.
There are so many meals that you can have, but maybe start with a protein based breakfast.....cook up some hard boiled eggs & sausages the night before & have them cold, the list is endless......x

too true - am being lazy and i know it!! Will come up with a plan ;o) stood on scales with my boots on and all my clothes and even after all the food i have eaten today and fluid drank it is saying i am just under 2 lb heavier than this morning - not sure scales are correct. Would expect to weigh a lot more? anyway i will stick to them and use them as a guide. need to get the shred done today.

Sorry Nikki that's rubbish :( I don't know what to suggest, just go speak to them and explain the situation, somebody has obviously got confused but you need to get it sorted.

It's crazy how hungry I am, but yeah I suppose your right. I've managed to fill myself up with chilli and rice for lunch.

Little one is fine today, he was on form coming out with his little comments this morning, he was so excited to have his money from the tooth fairy this morning, he says he's going to save it for his holiday, so I'm trying to convince him its for spending now and that he'll have loads of money for his holiday. He also dreamt that I'd bought him some new trainers so he could start running and was disappointed this morning when he realised it was a dream. When I left work this afternoon his class were doing PE and he seemed really happy waving and blowing kisses to me :)

Well I've done my run now and will be taking it easy from now until Sunday for the half marathon (well as easy as I can, unfortunately housework still has to be done lol) I'm waiting for a dry day so I can wash the windows, they're looking a right mess :/

I do have fruit and yogurt quite a lot to be fair, but only when I have something like pineapple in (I don't know why but I feel like that bulks it out a lot more) otherwise if I don't have time for a cooked breakfast I have something like syn free pancakes with berries and banana or rice pudding, the rice pudding is really easy as I make sure its already made up and just warm it up in the microwave in the morning.

I do like cereal as well though, shreddies are a new favourite, I like them with a little sweetener then they taste like frosted shreddies. I also love porridge, which is a lot easier to make then some people seem to think. I was talking to my boyfriend about corn flakes the other day actually as that's what him and little one have in at the moment, I was saying how I used to love them with warm milk when I was younger, but don't think I'll ever have them again, I don't think its worth synning cereal and when I'm off plan I still don't think they're worth it, I'd rather go off plan with a bagel, breakfast muffin or coissant lol
 
I really think what a lot of people say about mixing up the plans is true to help kick start the metabolism, coz for the last 8 weeks I've been doing EE with 2 Hexb's, but this week since Monday I've been doing Red so I think that accounts for my 2lb loss for this week! So ladies when you're struggling, have a change & mix things up a bit!

Its an absolute pain in the A***!!

This months wages should have been made up of 2 weeks working + 2 weeks holiday = a full months pay

Next month should be 1 weeks holiday+ 3 weeks at 90%

July should be 3 weeks at 90% and 1 week at £136

Then every month will be at £136 per week.

MD said its defo wrong and looks like a computer error...computer error my bum!! Just worried its now going to mess up the rest of my payments and i'll have problems for the next 2 pays. They have said they are going to rectify it and pay me the rest which is good but i dont want to end up chasing them next month and the month after too :(

Do you eat your syns everyday? I am maintaining and eating an extra b most days and I usually eat all syns everyday. I am maintaining not losing. I suppose everyone is different! Like you 8st 7 is my magic no but I can't seem to get below 8st 8!
I think you are fab to be 49+1 next fri and in such good shape.

Thanks Debbie. Yes I have my syns everyday 5 - 15 depending what I fancy. I couldn't get below 8.11 & thats why I called target. All I did differently, was swap over to EE with 2 hexb's, but psychologically it seemed to spur me on & I started losing again & now Im below target - crazy!
 
I don't think I'll ever get to 119, would love to but not going to stress over it as with my running as long as I don't gain weight I'm happy at the moment. You never know though maybe once my marathon training really steps into gear I might suddenly loose loads (we can dream lol)

Don't stress about it Nikki, at least they've admitted it is an error so you are only chasing it up rather then having to argue your point, I'm sure it will be sorted by next pay day.
