Baby Charlie has arrived so lets get on with shedding the rest of this wobble!!!

Afternoon all

Spanx -bread was ohhhh so my fave thing (with organic butter on -or toasted with butter n marmite mmmmmmm) -I have always made my own bread -I make wicked bread. baguettes, naans, tortilla wraps and pizza:p.....might explain my "doughy middle" :D
I always got a bit of a headache after eating any though, but in the 2nd week of SW I made pizza-had one slice and had the headache from hell -its not the flour so I think I have a problem with yeast -so I have had no more :D.... shame as I could make a proper pizza for about the same syns as 1 slice of takeaway pizza -still I know bread makes me hold weight -so I guess its a good thing :p

Trace -ooohh my niece may have to fight you for billy :p...mind she likes them all!!! she got some really good photos of them too (I have seen them on her facebook page).. and now you get to see Bon Jovi again,,, you are spoilt :8855:
Hope you have a great time -and pinkies crossed for your interview :cross:

A late start on here for me today -only because we went out early for a walk around the golf course...3hrs and approx 10,000 steps later -we were back at the car :D
My little fat trotters are aching mind :grumble:..

So -my meal plan for today is :-
  • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
  • melon
  • banana
  • 1/2 alpen light (call it B -I will have the other one later;))
  • 2 egg omelette with :-
  • red onions
  • red pepper
  • ham
  • tomatoes
  • 40g low fat cheddar (A)
  • melon
  • SW tuscan chicken (1.5)
  • 198g steamed potatoes (B)
  • carrots
  • cabbage
  • 56g peas (2)
So that is my A+B options accounted for -but only 3.5 syns used!
Is it just me or does anyone else think the alpen light -apple taste like figgy biccies (fig rolls)? -they are one of the few biccies I have ever liked (yes, you heard me right -Im not a biccie fan ) -I only really ever liked :-
figgy biccies, dead flies (garabaldi) and jaffa cakes -oooooh and jamborees... oooohhh coconut rings (ok so perhaps I like more biccies than I thought :8855:) -although I have NEVER kept biccies in the house..oooohh and don't go dunkin them :yuk: -dirty, dirty habbit!!!
ok -biccie rant over :p

The tuscan chicken will be a new recipe Im trying... a recipe I picked because I got some really fat boneless, skinless chicken thighs whoopsed from the naafi on the way home ;)(I usually use chicken breast for everything -but these looked nice) -so I will report back on what its like.

Weather permitting we are going around the golf course again tomorrow :whacky068:this time we will put the dog back on her lead BEFORE we get to the water hole ...today she decided to launch herself in -soaked herself through and then rolled in fox poo!!!!! :sign0137:....cue, the hosing down of the dog at the course (thank god we know to take towels for her) and then tomorrow when we get back she will be having a proper bath...luckily she loves baths -it takes her an age to dry though,....
Hubby is back to work on Wednesday, so then I will get back into my normal routine ;)
oohh and we will be popping into the other naafi -to see if they still have the "racket sports wii game" on offer :D
right -thats plenty of waffle AGAIN... I will get off and catch up on the goings on and then settle on the sofa for an hour..
Have a lovely day everyone :D

Evening folks -
Just a quick one before I settle down to watch some big bang theory :D
The chicken was lovely -but I will use chicken breasts in future ;)....(will post a pic tomorrow)and we have half of it left to try and wedge in the freezer (I have more chance of plaitting fog) :8855:. I stuck 56g of peas on my dinner -but it still only takes me to 3.5syns
I got 55mins done on the wii -which added to the 3hr walk makes me a happy chappy ... and I have clocked up 12,2624 steps in total today,,,,, so i reckon that is plenty for 1 day :D
It looks like we are sticking with the plan to go and do the golf course again tomorrow -so I will be late popping in ;)
Have a great evening all..

just popping in to say hello!!! not been on here for a while - but still loving your work!!! xxxx well done on all of those steps too - make me wonder how many i do (or dont) do!!!! xxx

Hi Capricorn - well done on all those steps today! I have ordered a pedometer off ebay this week - dread to think how many steps it will tell me I'm not doing!

There's a recipe in the recipe section for a smash-based pizza. Sounds a bit strange to me, but there are lots of good reviews of it - might be worth a look if you get a real pizza craving!

It's always been tiger bread and french sticks for me - I'm salivating just thinking about it!!!

Hi Capricorn.. you are a good walker hun, great amount of steps.. my feet would be falling off after that much in a day, but its good for you, with or without falling off feet, lol.

AM feeling a little  frustrated. Have stuck to green and red days all week and lost 1lb!! Don't understand that.. so back to the drawing board and gonna shake it back up again, EE this week and then an all Red next week. At least with EE I go an average 2lb loss each week :sigh:.

Hey ho, we can only but try.. lol. Hope you're having a good morn, as you are late in posting, so maybe you're out doing your walking. Have a good day. xx:D

Afternoon all
Hi ellebear -trust me, when I first saw how many steps I "didn't" do in a normal day I could have cried  .... its only the walk around the golf course that does it -and I only really enjoy that because I get to watch the deer, eagles, squirrels, foxes, hares n rabbits playing;)
Spanx -Im not sure I would try the smash pizza... I have heard lots of good reports on it, but to be honest Im not overly bothered. Its hubbies birthday tomorrow and I asked him if he fancied anything in particular for tea -and he wants a home made pizza :p -luckily I froze some baguette dough last time I made them ;)-I will probably have gammon mmmmmmm
Eternal - Believe me -I might have stopped walking but my trotters feel like they are still going  -Its my ankles that ache ..I think its stomping up n down hill that does it...
Thats a bummer isn't it, when you are sticking to it too!!! I haven't noticed that much difference in my losses between on EE and now on red, although I think I have lost 3lb on the last 2 weigh ins and 1 of them was * week -so I think perhaps it makes a little difference. I do prefer red day though -i haven't done green yet .. I don't think they would suit me at the moment (not bad for an ex veggie/vegan :8855:)
what carbs do you use most? Is it pasta/bread? Im just wondering if processed carbs might be holding your weight? I know they do me.... I haven't had any bread since I started and only had pasta twice I think. It could be something to try...

well-the late appearance on here means we DID have another walk around the golf course "be still my aching trotters" :8855:-so thats 3hrs and 10,150 steps out of the way :D....
Hubby is back to work tomorrow -so I have 3 days of lie ins :p as we may well get a walk in on Saturday (hopefully the trotters will have recovered by then) ...ooohhh poo, just realised we have the dog here -so we will be walking her in the evenings instead
oh and I ordered the wii racket sport game with the camera ..I was planning on getting it from the naafi -but I can get it from amazon for less than half the price I would pay for the game alone :D-I love the wii sport tennis game but I can get any further -Im better than the computer players *oohh get me ehh*...so Im hoping this will give me more of a challenge

My meal plan for today is:-
  • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
  • 2 bananas
  • big salad
  • 198g steamed potatoes (B)
  • ham
  • black grapes mmmmm
  • 100g cherry quark (2.5)
  • piri piri chicken kebabs (1)
  • 198g potatoes(B)sauted with onions
  • stir fried:-
  • courgette
  • carrot
  • mushrooms
  • peppers
  • 1/2tsp oil (1)
  • melon
  • pineapple
Now that only uses 1 syn -so I might have some quark later. I have just picked up 3 varieties of 0.2% quark... vanilla, cherry, peach and maracua .... They are 2.5syns per 100g (although Im not sure if they are considered free with being 0.2%) -but I will syn them anyway ;) *edit* -used 4.5syns
The piri piri chicken kebabs I got out of the chilled cabinet -so I will wait and see how nice they are, and have some herby quark ready incase they are too hot :p

Heck -im prattling on again -will get off for now.. have a great day everyone and keep at it :D

Evening everyone...
Well here is the tuscan chicken from yesterday ...

Todays Lunch:-

annnnd tonights dinner -the piri piri chicken was really nice :DI swapped the jacket for sauted potatoes n onions (I had extra potatoes left from lunchtime;))..and I did stir fried veggies instead of salad:p

and here is a cute piccie of the dawg we are looking after(you may need to click to see it properly)...feeling in need of love after hubby bathed her :p(well if she will swim in the lake and roll in fox poop ;))
she loves having a bath -but she takes an age to dry -so she decided curling up on hubby for 3hrs was the best way of keeping warm:8855:and YES we are soppy enough to tuck her up in her blanky :p. Eventually we got her to agree to move onto her own quilt on the sofa -and we tucked her up there too :D

well after the walk this morning I can now add mowing the lawn to my list of calorie burning exploits :D..and now I think Im off to play a bit of wii...
Hope everyone is well and still motivated...

Goooood morning world.... what a lovely sunny day we have too :D

Hubby is back at work today -although planning on knocking off early (nothing to do with the England match...honest:rolleyes:) -its his birthday too .... so we will let him off ;)

So then-my meal plan today is:-
  • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
  • melon
  • pineapple
  • grapes
  • banana
  • 2 seedy ryvita (B)
  • 1 laughing cow light (1.5)
  • ham
  • salad
  • gherkin
  • melon
  • pineapple
  • lamb -stir fried with :-
  • 1/4 tsp oil (0.5)
  • onion
  • mushroom
  • cabbage
  • carrot
  • red pepper
  • celery
  • 28g sweetcorn (1.5)
  • 100g cherry quark (2.5)
  • 42g low fat cheddar (A)
  • 2 ryvita seedy (B)
  • gherkin
So that is 6 syns and my A+Bs used up... It looks like I never stop eating :giggle:
I think Im going to use the biccies n cheese for my supper more often -I really like them (I need to do a check on the biccies though as they aren't "ryvita" -they are german and I love them, but I really should check if I should be using them as a healthy B:confused: -I think they will be ok,,,,
Right thats me for now ...will no doubt be back later ..
have a lovely day everyone :D

Morning Capricorn, the piri chicken looked really nice and the dog, ahhh all wrapped up, how cute is he :).

My OH's firm have actually organised a drink fuelled fuction to watch the footie, so it'll be a walking and slurring Ian I will be expecting home, lol..

Weather here in Essex is hot and sunny, good drying day so will get the washing out and son out there to mow the lawn so we can sunbathe after lunch.

Have a good day hun xx

Evening all

Eternal -they opened the bar up on camp for the blokes to go and watch it but hubby came home instead ;)...
The dog is a little belter -she loves coming here as she is with someone all day -I don't really agree with going out and leaving her ..I think we have only ever left her twice and that was for 1hr...
she is a spoilt little pooch here -but she has one of those faces that just gets her what she wants :p -she is well behaved though -well she is for me...she sees my hubby as her own play thing :8855:

Well I have finished today having used 3.5 syns (I never got around to having the cherry quark).... I did 35mins on the wii ...and when hubby had watched the football we took the dog a walk. I am soooo happy because the route is a really long slow dragging hill -last time I did it was last year and god I thought I would need mountain rescue ...so we set off today and I almost skipped up it :woohoo:hubby even asked me if I was in a hurry because I was shifting at such a pace :D. It was only a 45min walk and approx 4000 steps but Im reckoning it should have burnt some "wobble" as it would have taken more effort than a flat walk. ----- oooh so todays steps have finished on 6,535
We have decided that even when the dog goes back in a month we are going to carry on doing the walk every evening. I can't believe I have had hubby driving me to the lake to walk (because its flat) -when that walk is on my doorstep :banghead: and I can do it!!!!!

Hubby won some more money on the slot machine -so came in and gave me a €50 note :p-So I need to decide what Im going to treat myself to....(I got a pedometer and have the "wii racket sport game" coming from his winnings last week :D) I want it to be something to spur me on or perhaps something as a treat -some new clothing or something -but I don't want to spend on clothes really, not whilst Im shrinking anyway -I will think of something

I will post my food pics tomorrow.....thats enough waffle for now..have a good night everyone :D

Just popping in to say hey - i LOVE your pink plates too!!! are they not just the BEST!!?!? Totally feeling the pink vibe.

Keep up the good work honey xxx

Afternoon all

Hi Ella -they are pretty aren't they :D-I got them because they were smaller ...some of my plates are more like serving platters:8855:and you know how it is...If there is a gap you have to fill it :p

Well Im late on here today because I have just fettled the kitchen :D-didn't half work up a sweat too -all that scrubbing, humpin n dumpin;)

Anyway todays meal plan looks like this:-
  • 250ml semi (A)
  • 2 bacon
  • 2 eggs scrambled
  • fresh tomatoes
  • 2 seedy ryvita (B)
  • 42g low fat cheddar (A)
  • 2 slices ham
  • kraut salat
  • gherkin
  • tomato
  • melon
  • pineapple
  • grapes
  • 227g jacket potato (B)
  • cottage cheese
  • lettuce
  • cucumber
  • tomatoes
  • celery
  • pepper
  • carrot
  • onion
  • gherkin
  • beetroot
  • 100g peach n maracua quark (2.5)
  • melon
SO that should be 2.5 syns used, if I eat my quark this time....I really should think of using some more -I might stick a cereal bar in just before I go for a walk:confused:might keep the munchie monster attacking when we go out for a walk -I was so hungry on yesterdays... my belly is used to its meal times :p
here are the missing pics ......
mmmmmmm yesterdays brekkie

lunch

minty lamb stir fry

and todays brekkie

We are planning the same walk as yesterday again tonight -hopefully it has cooled by then as it is scorching right now
right Im away to make my lunch -whilst trying not to mess up my nice clean kitchen ;)
Have a great afternoon all........

Mmmm, food looks yummy as always Capricorn. I'm having a low moment.. silly me, stood on scales this morn to peep (shouldn't have done it) and have gained 3lb since WI on Tues Morn.. I'm shocked, stayed 100% yest on EE and only with 5 syns too.. So switching to the Red Plan now as really don't trust the EE plan at all :(. Silly really, I know.. but need to get a big loss next week or I'll have to resort to going back on the Cambridge Diet plan again and I really don't want that.

Hey ho, lol.. Heres for a 100% red day :) xx

Eternal -I have just seen your thread about this and answered...
There is no way that 3lb has appeared overnight (well not with what you are eating)..your weight will fluctuate all day long..up n down like a yoyo...
How about getting hubby to confiscate the scales -even if you just try for a week to just weigh in on weigh day. I used to be a scale hopper when I did WW- and I that it never did me any good.. if the scales showed a loss mid week I might relax a little -if it showed a gain I would cut right back and all it did was screw up the whole thing, I lunged from what I called feast to famine -I would have days when I ate in excess of my points and then would days where I would eat very little in an attempt to lose in time for weigh in (and Im talking some weeks eating nothing for 2 days )

my week used to go pretty much :-
  • thursday -weigh in .... oooohhh I have done well "lets have a treat" ...or I have done bad "ok Im pigged off now-where is the choc"
  • fri-sat-sun -"well I had allready broken my diet on Thursday -so I may as well carry on"
  • Monday -"weigh in coming -must cut back"
  • tuesday/wednesday -"ok need to lose for thursday -stop eating"
That is why now I don't give myself "days off" or reward myself with food ;) If I want something then I syn it and eat it when I really want it and not because of the day of the week it is or because of what the scales have said:eek:....mind SW lets me eat all of my fave foods anyway -most of them syn free :D
Im not saying I never have a sneaky peek now -but I can hand on heart say it has no effect on me at all. The only time I want the opinion of the scale is on a Sunday morning and then they can sit ther and shut up for a week:8855:
I think that panicing and cutting back in an attempt to "undo" what you think you have gained (not that you have) will do more harm than good -
god that turned into an essay didn't it
So ignore the scales, stick to the plan you had for the week and see what weigh day brings...
You can get past this -heck you are doing well and there is no need to resort back to the camebridge diet ...

Thanks Capricorn.. I do need top throw the rotters out really, they are a pain in the backside. I'm staying on EE today as bought some sushi for lunch, but will then do Red rest of week. Increase my walking and re syns, i've really only reduced them as I have a planned eve out tomorrow and saving them for a cpl of vodka and diet cokes, but will limit that to 4, as planned and sip sparkling water inbetween.

I'm not giving up, but can't quite understand it myself.. so scales in shed from now on, lol. Thanks for your advice, means a lot to me. xx

Helloooooooooooooo! :) Well it's all over!!! No more Bon Jovi, no more Green Day (till the next time anyway) and thank goodness the "assessment centre" is over and done with!!!! Phew!!!! I'm utterly exhausted after going backwards and forwards to London 4 times in a week and following today's adventure, my brain has turned to mush!!!

Anyway, glad to see you've been keeping up the good work while I've been AWOL!!!! I've been a pig tonight and have rewarded myself with food for the first time in about 9 months, but I'm not too bothered. Back on the wagon tomorrow!!

Bye for now xxxxxxxx

Hi Trace ...
ohhhhh noooooooooooo -NO more Bon Jovi fixes for you for a while then :p
Glad the interview thing went well -but god 4 trips into London must have done your head in .
Im sure you will get back into the SW swing...looking at your details -you don't have far to go
Hope you have a great week..

Well folks we did the walk again this evening -so that leaves me at 1hr 30Mins on the wii and 7100 steps done and dusted today --ooohh and 10 mins on the twisty plate things I have :party0049:
I also fettled the kitchen to within an inch of its life this morning didn't I .... so that will help...
If the scale aren't kind to me on Sunday I may kick them all around the garden :p(how many cals would that burn?:giggle:)... no, seriously -I know that Im sticking to it so this "wobble" will come off -I don't think I have ever been this relaxed about losing weight...and I have to say I LIKE IT :D
right Im off to catch up! have a great evening everyone:D

Gooooooood morning everyone

Looks like being another glorious day :Dand its nearly the weekend again already ;). I think my week has seem to fly by because hubby wasn't at work until Wednesday... -so tonight will hopefully be another :chores016: (hubby is umpiring a cricket match today -so it depends when he gets back ;))..and then we are back to Saturday -which means a jaunt around the golf course ..that will be 3 times this week :whacky068:..THEN we are back to weigh day again .. where are the days going?

Anyway my meal plan for today is:-
  • 250ml semi skimmed (A)
  • 28g porridge oats (part of B)
  • banana
  • mixed berries
  • ham
  • 1 ryvita (other part of B)
  • lettuce
  • cucumber
  • tomatoes
  • pepper
  • celery
  • onion
  • carrot
  • gherkin
  • melon
  • pineapple
  • HM breakfast sausage burgers (0.25)
  • 227g jacket potato (B)
  • 42g low fat cheddar (A)
  • HM coleslaw :-
  • cabbage
  • carrot
  • onion
  • ff quark
  • ff natural yogurt
  • lemon juice
  • seasoning
  • melon/pineapple/grapes
SO that is my A+Bs accounted for and just 1/4 syn (oops)....
I usually make my own sausages -mainly in the colder months -but I have decided to make the same mix -but make them into burgers for tonight mmmmmm . I will post the recipe later in case anyone wants it. I was going to do them with wedges, but we do love jackets -so thats even less faffing about ;) and I love home made coleslaw -so Im really looking forward to dinner tonight :D, although when I think about it I always look forward to my meals :p.
Right I think that is enough :blahblah::blahblah::blahblah: for now..
Have a greeat day everyone and keep at it ;)

Morning Capricorn.

Def going with Red til WI, so will be getting a few ideas from you yummy meals. Well done on doing all that walking, I managed 7.100 steps yest walking to Tesco, around it and back.. phewww in the heat here too, I was whacked out, and carried 2 heavy shopping bags with one hand too, lol.. so muscles surely got used.. ;)

I made my own burgers during the week, they did shrink, but they were gorgeous.. got some minced pork so will make some meatballs to go with salad prob next week.

Not sure if I'm going out this eve yet as my friend has gone all quiet on me. Not seen her for 10 years and she lives in Skegness, so travels to Essex every few months to see her family and stays in a Hotel. So invited me to stay with her tonight and to go to Chicago Rock Cafe for a few drinks and possibly Nando's. So have saved 10 syns from Wed and Thurs and with my 10 today I'll be able to have 4 vodka and diet cokes (18),.. but if I don't end up going, i'll drop those 10 syns saved and just have my 10 today, which must aid for a better loss?

Have a lovely day Capricorn. xx

pork burger/breakfast sausage recipe

Evening all

Eternal -hope you got to have a night out tonight -hope its a god one :D

We didn't have our walk this evening as hubby was late home from umpiring the cricket....but we are leaving the house at 5:30am tomorrow for a walk around the golf course, surely that is sooooooo early that it is virtually today anyway :8855:
I have clocked up 1hr30mins on the wii 2x10 mins on the twisty plates and 3000 steps -so i will live with that ;). I haven't used any syns though as I haven't had the quark  ..ooh unless you count the fraction of a syn in the burgers say 1/4syn :p
so here is a catch up on the photos :p-I really must upload them on the day I do them but the blinkin PC sometimes takes and age to download them  soooo
this was yesterday lunch:-

Dinner:-

my nommy brekkie this morning:-

Lunch:-

and the burgers I made mmmmm :-

here is what they looked like before cooking:-

the recipe if anyone is interested is :-
  • 500g extra lean minced pork
  • 1tsp coarse salt
  • 1/2tsp dried sage
  • 1/4tsp fine ground pepper
  • 1/4tsp brown sugar (not even 0.5)
  • 1/4tsp dried thyme
  • 1/4tsp dried marjoram
  • pinch ground cloves
  • pinch crushed red pepper/paprika
  1. Squish it all together and leave in the fridge for a few hours or over night (or however long you have)
  2. I made it into 5 X 1/4lb burgers
  3. I left to chill
  4. then dropped into a hot dry non-stick frying pan and seal both sides
  5. then I transfered to a medium oven on a rack and cooked through
I always break a small piece of before shaping them and cook in the frying pan so I can check the seasoning.

This recipe is actually a slight twist on teh sausage recipe I used to do lots -so you could always roll into sausage shapes if you prefer ...

oooohh and when hubby stopped at the naafi again -he won some more money on the bandit :D(he is a demon on those things) so he came in with loads of €2 pieces -I counted up and there was €294 ..... so that has broken -€150 that I was due anyway and the extra €44 and hubby has €100 that will pay for the fuel vouchers for the month and his golf competitions  so I have €44 to add to the €50 he gave me from a smaller win earlier in the week so I have an extra €94 to treat myself with :giggle:..just have to decide what to get....

Right -thats enough from me again... have a great night everyone... :D
