Beegee's Green Day Diary

hi beegee my daughter joined w/w last week she had lost a stone herself (weight left after having her baby) she had a stubborn 7lb left to lose she lost 5.5lb this week she was shocked. a lot of my friends r doing w/w but i don't like doing all the point counting one is doing the simply filling plan? she said she can have crumpets and w/w wraps, petit pans and the bread and doesn't have to weigh or point them, have u heard of it. sometimes it gives you renewed enthusiasm when u do a different plan, hope u have a good weekend xx

Hi Val, it sounds as though your daughter is doing really well on WW! Good for her. I have downloaded the free foods on the healthy and filling (or whatever it's called) plan and also spent a long time looking through WW forums and getting an idea of what you can get for your points. My grand conclusion at the end of it is - I'm going to stick with SW! Reading through the WW stuff it just dawned on me that I didn't want to change. Even if I'm a 14-16 for ever, I'd rather be that than fanny around weighing everything. I also couldn't help but notice that points for an indian takeaway were rather high .

So, for now I'm going to stick with what I know. I've had 2 bad weekends in a row (as expected) but next week is a lot less 'social' so I can really give it 100% and see how I do. If after a couple of weeks of really going for it I'm not seeing a difference I may review again. I feel good for making a decision on this as I've spent a lot of time thinking and researching and it's nice to decide that my heart really is with SW!

Week 95 starts tomorrow - bring it on!

Monday:

B: Melon, banana, kiwi, Fruit & Fibre (hexb), yogurt

L: Jacket potato, beans, sweetcorn, cheese (hexa). Yogurt.

Snack: Melon

D: Pasta bake (hexa). Fibre Plus (hexb)

No syns but a full house of Healthy Extras - I'm happy with that!

Tuesday:

B: Weetabix (hexb), milk (half hexa), banana

Snack: Mugshot

D: Spag Bol, parmesan (half hexa)

I'm happy with my week so far. I'm proper focused now I've decided to stick with SW!

:) I'm glad you're sticking with SW :) Its nice to feel super focussed and also nice to have cheeky chocolate syns while on plan ;)

This week is looking great so far........ but whats this, no syns on monday ??? I think I need some no syn/low syn days myself!

Thanks Val, I'll be keeping an eye on your WW diary as I'm not ruling it out forever. Is it up and running now?

Today has been:

Snack: pears (really wanted something with more oomph and substance but didn't know what so stuck with the super-free which I was rather proud of!)

Weigh in tomorrow - not sure what that will bring!

Hi beegee yes have just started it you can click on the link on my page it's very quiet over there no-one has "spoken" to me yet :cry:i wasn't that impressed with the class tonight the c was asking everyone what they have in a sandwich for lunch, what we would choose for dinner if we were out and what we done with our left overs, she went round everyone individually each time, i was trying to sit at the back so i wouldn't get asked anything  the class started at 6 and it got to 7.30 i had to go as i had to pick DD3 up from work i didn't expect it to go on so long it's put me off staying next week but will play it by ear, i ate normally through the day and had dinner b4 i went so i can keep doing that each week no more going without all day so that i weigh a bit lighter ha ha, i also wore my jeans and a big chunky jumper (my winter togs instead of autumn ones) i am reading my booklets now, there is a healthy & filling plan bit similar to s/w except u can have crumpets, calorie controlled bread and w/w wraps on it and don't have to count them but as i couldn't stay for my bit at the end don't know if she mentioned it or not to the other newbies  well better get back to the books have a good day tomorrow love val xx

Goodness, that class sounds a bit of an epic one. I'd be lurking at the back hoping not to be asked too! I saw that healthy and filling plan when I was researching and thought it looked quite good but thought that I'd miss my cheese. I'd probably get over that if I could eat bagels all day tbh, but then I thought I'd have to point all the spread (and whatever) to go on it and it would use up my weekly points. So good, but not quite right for me compared to SW, but never say never ...

I so hope it works for you Val and that next weeks class is more inspiring. Keep us posted and enjoy reading the books and getting your head round it all x

Well, I knocked off a kilo last week (2.2lbs) so that's great. I'm not 'feeling' any thinner at the moment though. Sometimes you can feel the difference but I can't at the mo. (Not sure who I'm kidding here really as I'm still nearly 12 and a half stone - feeling 'thin' is not going to happen for a while :8855: !! )

B: Yogurt, banana, strawberries, porridge (hexb)

L: Jacket potato, cottage cheese, sweetcorn. Yogurt.

Snack: melon

D: Creamy pasta bake with loads of veg(hexa for mozzarella, 3 syns for condensed soup as the base)

Highlight (2), Fibre Plus (hexb)

Woo hoo - well done on your brilliant loss :D:D:D The feelings of slimness will catch up with you!

Friday:

B: Porridge (hexb), banana, strawberries, yogurt

L: Pasta & Sauce, extra veg, cheese (hexa). Yogurt.

Snack: Melon

D: Portobello Mushrooms with melted cheese (hexa), sw chips, beans, Linda sausages (1) - lordy this was nice for a change. Must make chips more often!

Highlights (2), chocolates (8) - fancied a bit of a friday night indulge so went for it as I've not used many syns this week yet.

Catch up time, I had my usual synful saturday but came in on around 85 syns for the week so all fine. Sunday was a toughie though, I just didn't feel like getting back to it so I spent 10 syns on chocolate and felt a bit better.

So, week 96:

Monday:

B: Porridge (hexb), banana, strawberries, yogurt

L: Pasta & Sauce with veg, cheese (hexa). Yogurt.

D: Quorn and veg stirfry with noodles and homemade, syn-free sauce.

Highlights (2), Fibre Plus (hexb)

Tuesday:

B: Yogurt, banana, strawberry, kiwi, grapes, branflakes (hexb)

L: Savoury rice & veg. Yogurt.

D: Bean chilli and rice. Cheese (hexa)

Will have something else later too, probably the hot choc and cereal bar combo!

85 Syns for the week are good and tis great to spend on chocolate every now and then :) Its a great skill to have, to be able to have 'some' chocolate, be proud :D

hi beegee well first weigh in and i lost 3.5lbs was very happy with that ;) i wondered if all the w/w goodies would knock me back a bit but i suppose because i kept within my allowance i still lost and i did eat quite a few healthy meals as well, so onward & upward i go lol. hope ur having a good week and good luck for weigh in xx

Wow Val - fantastic loss girl! Go WW! Well done, I hope next week is as successful for you x

I sts this week which is ok. I'm happy to maintain and go for a bit off next week. I've been having a bit of a tough week because it's half term and I always get a bit d-mob happy and feel the need to be a bit naughty. However, I've been hanging in there and sticking to it but not quite as purely as I usually do!

It was my son's birthday yesterday which meant going out for lunch. We did the Harvester (his choice - he's 3!) so I went for the Jambalaya Stack (380 cals), only had half a ladle of red devil dressing on free salad but then had about half a (white ) roll to undo my good work. I also didn't have a slice of birthday cake but did nibble a couple of generous 'crumbs' so all in all, I'm putting the syns at approx. 10.

Today we've had people for lunch, I only did nibbly bits - pizza and stuff, so I didn't have any of that and made some Ainsley couscous instead. All well and good, but when I'd dished up their ice-cream for pud (which I also passed on :)), I did have a couple of spoons as I was putting it away. Then - for no reason - this evening I massively fancied some hula hoops (6.5). So, syns are around 10 today as well.

I'm doing that thing where I feel as though I'm being naughty, but I'm not really. YET! :D

Hi beegee well done for sts x you done really well at the harvester i am usually good when i go there but only because it tells u the calories if i fancy a dessert i'm soon put off by the calories in it can't kid myself that the fudge cake is only 200 cals think its around 600 eeek lol . Hope ur soon enjoyed his birthday . Have a good day xx

Totally agree - you're not naughty at all, its not easy when you have visitors :) Well done on your sts! I love the Jambalaya stack, gorgeous, I'd chose that every time at the harvester and then pile on the whole salad cart :D

Have a good week!
