Beegee's Green Day Diary

I love your way of seeing things Beegee. I'm becoming more like this too and I'm sure its the long term key to success! It has to be a way of life and nights out, days out, family meals all crop up now and again and they are to be enjoyed :)

Saying that though, Kwise its fab that you realise you're not at this stage yet. If you know in your heart that you'll be off the rails following a night out, then your approach in keeping it on plan is great and works for you :) If you can think ahead to the day following a night out and really imagine yourself on plan and really believe in yourself, you'll do it (and once you've done it once you'll find it easier the next time) :)

Thanks Hun , I like your words of wisdom ;-)

Ooh, we're getting all philosophical and wise! I agree with you totally Gobolino, I think I'm in the right place to stick with it because I'm good at drawing the line. It's my 2 year SW birthday in April and I still don't want to go back to how it was before so I know I'm in for the long haul.

Kwise - Toblerone Cheesecake?!! Really, omg that sounds divine. Though I'm not totally sure anything beats an apple crumble tbh ...

I didn't get round to doing my diary yesterday as I was like this  watching Big Brother. I do love the celebrity version. Haven't watched the normal one for a few years now though, maybe I will now it's on Channel 5 - it seems to have improved a bit.

So - week 93:

Monday:

B: Melon, banana, kiwi, yogurt, branflakes (hexb)

L: Pasta in tomatoey sauce and veg, cheese (hexa). Yogurt.

D: Root vegetable casserole, rice & brocolli

Fibre Plus (hexb), Highlights (2)

Tuesday:

B: Melon, pineapple, banana, yogurt. Roll, butter (hexb) (0.5)

L: Savoury rice & veg. Yogurt.

Snack: left over veg and noodles (few spoons)

D: Bean chilli & rice, cheese (hexa)

Menus looking b-e-a-utiful :)

Gonna make the apple crumble - its the most delicious non-SW friendly one ever!! It's the best though!!

Well done on your fab loss Beegee :)

Hey 8 syns isnt a bad number of syns for a chocofest !!! :D

Keep up the good work, will be checking up on your diaries this week for some meal inspiration (thanks in advance!).

Hi all, oh the naughtiness this weekend! Deary me, not my finest hour. I was just going to be off plan on saturday but my brother cooked lunch on sunday and I was watching him do it and he was using sooooo much oil in everything I just couldn't do anything to save myself. Threw caution to the wind and had pudding and everything. Disaster!!

So, back to it today but I'm expecting the worst on thursday!

B: Porridge (hexb), banana, yogurt

L: Pasta & Sauce, lots of veg, cheese (hexa). Yogurt.

Snack: Yogurt, pineapple (I've had so much pineapple recently it now hurts my mouth when I eat it. Shame I've got 2 boxes full ready chopped in the fridge! Will have to push myself through the pain barrier to finish it and then move on to berries or something for a change.)

D: Sausages (1.5), mash, brocolli, carrots, corn, gravy (1.5)

Highlights (2), Fibre Plus (hexb)

I tried the Linda McCartney Italian sausages today. I'm not a fan of the original ones but thought these were really nice and only half a syn each. They are currently £1 per box in Tesco, I've added another 6 boxes to my shopping order this week!

Hey Beegee sounds like you are brilliantly back on plan today, so at least you can enjoy your weekend and move on :)

Wow my sister in law made breakfast on the weekend and I had those sausages, I automatically thought they were going to be high in syns, so high that I didnt even look up the syn value :D half a syn is great news, thanks!

They did seem as though they should be high didn't they, I was quite surprised. The rosemary flavoured ones are FREE, but I haven't found them just yet. I'll be clearing the shelves when I do!

Hey I bought some tonight in tesco's - mmmmmm I think I'll convert to these from quorn (quorn things even though they are tasty they sometimes give me tunny ache!). I couldnt see the rosemary ones either, will let you know if I see them stocked anywhere :)

They are good aren't they - quite a find! Better value synwise too now that the quorns have syns. Hooray for sausages! :D

Today has been:

B: Pineapple, banana, melon, yogurt

L: Jacket potato, chilli beans, sweetcorn, cheese (hexa), yogurt on the side as I put too much chilli powder in and it was fiery! Yogurt.

Snack: Quorn deli slices, pineapple, mandarin (god the agony of eating fruit at the moment. I'm only having melon and banana tomorrow I think. Pineapple hurts me!)

D: Pasta bake (hexb for cheese)

Alpens (hexb), highlights (2)

Wednesday:

B: Banana, yogurt, porridge (hexb)

L: Savoury rice, mixed veg, cheese (hexa). Yogurt

Snack: quorn deli slices

D: Chickpea dahl, extra veg, brown rice.

Highlights (2), Fibre Plus (hexb)

So, an ok day today but an absolute mare coming up tomorrow as I'm out in the evening to Gourmet Burger Kitchen with the ladies. OMG. There is nothing on the menu even remotely under a thousand syns so I'll just have to reluctantly accept YET ANOTHER bad day (and another when I've got a night out on saturday ). Hopefully things will be better next week.

I hope you have a fab time at GBK :) I've been there a couple of times and loved the food! Enjoy and just draw the line tomorrow and move on.

______________________________________________ Here you go :)

Thanks for the line Gobolino, but good news - I don't need it :D! I found this little gem on the menu:

Winter salad (n)
Warm butternut squash, beetroot, chickpeas, feta, mixed leaves, smoked almonds & basil oil

I had the oil on the side and just used a couple of splashes (trying to scoop out the basil bits!), I had an hexb and a hexa left to cover the feta and almonds and I drunk diet coke. I was very chuffed with myself for making a good choice and I must say, it was absolutely lovely. I'd have it again like a shot rather than one of the burgers. Very happy, especially as I'd had an insanely good day already in preparation for my anticipated bad evening.

I gained 1lb this week which is fair enough after the weekend, but am going in the right direction again now so all is well.

I'm getting increasingly interested in defecting to WW for a little while at the moment because I think I need a bit of a kick up the bum and to get interested in something new. Lots of SW regulars seem to be looking at it at the moment and are pretty enthusiastic about it. The big question is can I be bothered to learn a whole new plan?!:eek: Watch this space!

Wow that winter salad sounds brilliant :) Well done for opting for that over the burgers! Sorry to hear about the small gain, I'm sure its a minor blip :)

Good luck with ww, you know they say a change is as good as a rest!!! :)
