Besides my clothes becoming looser i wasn't aware of anything changing, so i would feel that nothing was happening and at times i thought about just giving up and grabbing for the nearest junk food just to make myself feel 'happy' but i realised that when i was eating that crap food i would only be happy for a while. So i started looking at the pics of where i was and am now and i can see it, i have a chin and i'm starting to grow a jaw line.. i can buy clothes from any supermarket (some high street shops are still a work in progress) and i don't have to order them off the net and pray that they fit or go to a specialist store and pay three times the price for the larger stuff.
I think thats the true inspiration in weight loss, what 'you' have done. how 'you' achieved it. Not seeing someone else do it.. why climb a mountain when someone else has already done it, because you can.. because you want to, you need to. Go and climb your own mountain, it'll be hard and you might slip down now and again, but never give up. One step at a time, you'll get there one day.
Each of us on this site know the struggles; physical, mental or emotional.. you might not get to a goal in a month or a even a years time but you will get there with the support of your family, sw group or the people on this site. Never set yourself a final goal, just pick your next one, and then your next.
It doesn't matter how much you have lost, just that you have lost something and keep going in that direction. you might not see a change but you will notice a difference, mine was not feeling tired all the time, i can now run upstairs and not feel like i'm having a heart or asthma attack. i can run around after my cousins kids and play football with them.
For the first time in my adult life, i am actually happy and not just putting on a show. Thats the secret to weight loss in my opinion.. honesty, be honest with yourself.
Find a motto or a saying and repeat it to yourself. mines ''Change your thoughts and you change your world.''
You can do it ladies and gents
Don't stop inspiring yourself

Wow!!! What a thread!! I've been a bit complacent the last couple of weeks and gained a couple of pounds and have been feeling annoyed at myself! This has made me think actually how well I've done, give myself a kick up the bum and get back on it!
I agree, we can be our own inspirations, but with a thread like that, you can be ours too x
