Bev - Round 2

Even I understand the offside rule Sandra!!! :giggle:

YAWN!! :giggle: x

I've never had a boyfriend who was into football.......even when I had a couple of premiership players as clients I didn't know who they were! I went to meet one guy on a Friday afternoon and on the Saturday he scored 3 goals and it was in all the Sunday papers. It was all a bit surreal......I was more interested in the cars in their driveways!

I did spend a weekend with Arsenal once.......but that's another story;)

Ooo Sandra you big tease!! ;) (sorry - little!)

My son once booked a holiday for someone - when he rang the contact number it was Liverpool FC - he asked for the guy and then, just by way of making conversation said 'Liverpool FC? Do you work there then?' the guy seemed a bit put out so Jonnie said 'Oh! Are you a player?' Apparently it was Dirk Kyte (sp?) that may mean something to some of you but not me and not Jonnie. He never heard from him again :( xx

Exactly.......I had an appointment to see this guy, so I went out into the general office and said who he was......and everyone went mad! I kid you not, the guys went berserk and all the girls kept giving me advice on what to wear.! Like he was gonna care! They also wanted me to take photos of his house which, of course, I didn't! At least I'd heard of Manchester United......that was a start! The sad thing is that one of my nephews is a huge fan and I can never say a word, not that I've met him or anything......shame really

Yes, Dirk Kuyt Jan.
Im not a massive fan of it but will tollerate it. I do like going to the pub though when there are big games on just because the atmosphere is brill! :)

Anyways, why are we talking about football!????? :giggle: x

I do understand the offside rule, like many women!! My fault about the footie, wont mention it again!! lol!

Had a nice evening in last night, not doing anything, lovely. Off to the gym later. It should be quiet again cos it's half term. Always seems to be the way. I think during term time kids are dropped off to their clubs and the parents come up to the gym. Enjoying the peace and the easy parking while we can.

Buying a sandwich toaster and an egg poacher at the weekend, I really fancy poached eggs and my daughter loves her toasties. I only like my eggs poached in an old fashioned pan, can't do the swirly water thing, they don't come out right that way to me.

Only 2 more days of work then weekend. Great cos hubby isn't working so off into town for a mooch around.

Those egg poacher pans are great arent they! I cant do the swirly thing either :giggle:

Enjoy the quietness of the gym whilst you can chick :) xx

I do swirly thing! Key is get water boiling furiously, then take off heat b4 adding eggs (keep off heat). It times perfectly with toaster (I'd u like it light-mid toasted). Pop the toaster, bung in eggs and assuming you have plate etc ready, toast pops, quickly stick on ham and take out eggs (with potato masher). Perfect ... mmm yummy! Mite need to rethink dinner lol x

Sounds yummy ... and easy - I wonder ... ? ;) xx

I add a splash of vinegar to the water too, saves the white breaking up.

Footballers -------- GRRR overpaid sex mad idiots!! Dont start me!

And add hollandaise sauce......mmmmmmmmmmmm x

Poached egg? I'm lazy 40 secs in the microwave and it us perfect. Soft and goey in the middle!!

Really looking forward to getting my poacher tomorrow. Has to be poached eggs on toast for tea tomorrow night!

Weather really horrible here today. Really grey and wet. Supposed to be like this all night and up to dinnertime tomorrow. Not too bothered about tomorrow though, if I'm not working I don't care what the weather is like!

Only a couple of more hours and I'm finished for the weekend. Here's to a good one. Hope everyone has a great weekend, no matter what the weather does!

Yup, grey, miserable & rain here too Bev.
Enjoy your weekend and the poached eggs ;) x

You too Bev......back to wintry weather here too....miserable

I have never tried poached eggs! I may have to invest as I have far too many fried ones! Hope you enjoy your weekend and the weather gets a bit better!

You'll all be relieved to know I got my poacher on saturday. Still haven't had any poached eggs though. Am going to have them on Thursday before badminton, thought that was a light (ish) meal to have before sport. Hubby's going to start having them instead of fried eggs too.

Had a nice relaxing weekend again. Watched football and rugby all weekend, great!

Off up to the college later for my daughter to cut my hair. Needs a trim and I really like the way she does my hair. She only has a few months left up there and then she's done. She's also applying for a job on the trains like her sister. Totally different from hairdressing, I know, but the money and conditions are so good she would be mad not to go for it really.

Mmm they work just as well as fried eggs in most dishes..... I love a poached egg on a salad cos you can dip stuff into the yolk, fabulous and much healthier. Never tried swapping a fried egg for a poached one in an egg and bacon sarnie though, wonder what that would be like?

Bev, great that your daughter will have hairdressing skills but i agree that there's no money in it. My sister even had her own salon and still never made any money, she gave up in the end. Real shame cos she was brilliant it, I did get free haircuts for years though:D
