Big Boys Need Love Too!

Heehee i get my eye test free and 75% off glasses thanks to my uncle being an optician :D

Well, I've spent £30 this lunctime lol ive used vouchers here and there and bought a pair of shoes in the sale... come back and my keyboard's still playing up grrr.

The black country museum is very close to me here, 10 minutes away, and it's one of my most favourite places in the world :D

Is your boss's keyboard working now then elle? On your keyboard, if you can get a fine paint brush and cleand around the sticking keys that should sort that.

I haven't tried it yet Jim, thought i'd switch it off over lunch and see what happens haha. ill try it again in a bit. thanks for the wise words though Jim. I certainly will try the paintbrush trick...

Sounds like a nightmare Elle. I hope you get it sorted soon x

Good morning all, I didn't sleep last night, I died. Got into bed and next thing *SHE* is shaking me and saying it's time to get up. :D

did you get it sorted babes? i found it most amusing to find a tech support request in my minimins inbox on my day off :D like i said, if nothing else, FULL DENIABILITY :D

good morning jim. i didn't sleep... i just didn't, well, not for hours. i just laid there, and laid there, and laid there... i am going to look for chemical assistance today. does anyone know any good 'knocking abi out for the night' tablets? obviously nothing too hard core...

abz xx

Hi abz, there must be something at the Chemist's I suppose. I find a glass of wine near bedtime helps if I think I'm not going to be able to sleep, mind you that's a rarity, I generally always sleep well.

Good morning everyone :)

Mr Sun is poking his head out but only lurking at the moment. I hope it is going to be a bright day cos bright days make you smile :) Busy day today tying up all kinds of loose ends. Really gotta finish sorting out all the crap around this house too :)

Jim - maybe you're the sleep thief - I didn't sleep well either. It was one of those nights when you go up to bed tired and end up staring at the ceiling (after a while you get your night eyes) and thinking about ....... well just about everything really. It's SO greedy - you can't have everyone's sleep Jim. Hope the smoke free zone is still going well :) x

Abz - I totally empathize - my sleep pattern is crap at the moment and alcohol isn't really a solution as although it appears to help the quality of sleep is not the same and you can still end up shattered. Winding down before bed is a a good idea but sometimes you can't can you  x

Elle - I hope you get the keyboard sorted today and lose the stress it's caused :) x

Taz - What are you up to this morning :) x

Hi gem, Colleen gets all bitter and twisted about my ability to sleep, she can't understand how I can be asleep within seconds of my head hitting the pillow. Maybe it's a bloke thing.

thomas does exactly the same thing. he's asleep within minutes. and he'll swear he didn't sleep much and denies it when i can say, well, i laid awake for four hours and you were certainly out of it then, so unless we swapped over at half time...

last time i had these problems i had valerian and hops tea, and that really helped. so i might order myself some since i can't find it in a shop anywhere...

My OH could fall asleep on a clothes line!!!! I lay there listening to the rythmic snoring and wishing I could sleep as easy x

Morning all, no Gem no plans for today. I will just be chilling here til WI then off to karate. If I'd known my friend wasn't going to be coming to WI tonight I could have gone to the early one and got it over with but I'm not ready to go anywhere at the mo!

The Sandman missed my house too last night!

That Sandman needs a sat nav - or at least a good OS map x

LOL, I must google this and see if women generally sleep worse than men.

Snoring issues aside - my OH will often sleep diagonally and when I try to move him over he retalliates sleepily that he is already on the edge of the bed! Well, that's half true at at least - his top half usually is but feet are probably about a foot from the edge of my side  not good in cold weather when you've got one leg hanging our over the edge of the bed.

The other issue of course is that I am defo post-menopause (see, men come into it again) and certainly my sleep pattern changed during menopause. Also with a back injury in 2004 my sleep pattern suffered as I was woken up by the need to change position in bed cos of the back pain around 6 times a night.

Stress is also an issue with sleep - not being able to stop your head working things over and over (which of course your sub-conscious mind will do far better once you get to sleep anyway).

How big is your bed Gem? We bought one of those super king sized ones about 8 years ago, mainly due to my size, we get lost in it now. :D

HaHa - yes we had one of those in Cornwall at Christmas/New Year! Most of the time there was a no mans land in the middle but one night I found myself sleeping with one leg out of the bed and realised he'd even managed a diagonal sleep IN THAT!!!!!! I had a total Victor Meldrew moment and uttered "I don't believe it" and proceeded to try and get him to move.

At home we have a king size which should be big enough for us - and would be if he didn't do the diagonal thing.

I'll have to ask Colleen about how I sleep, maybe I do the diagonal.
