no I don't! Not sure yet which gym I am going to go to tomorrow. I might go to my usual one and see if my mum fancies joining me. She probably won't as she doesn't like the gym much! I just have to find something for Mr Taz to do for a couple hours
hey there guys. well our car is going in for it's MOT on tuesday. really hope it passes without any problems (especially since it's had a couple of hundred quid spent on it recently) as we can't afford to fix it if it doesn't and OH can't get to work without it without spending 3 hours travelling on public transport for a 20 minute car journey... so here's hoping...
and then there's the car tax. it's £101 for six months and £185 for the year. why do they do that to you? so it's six months at the moment methinks... haven't a clue where we're going to get that from but am sure we'll manage... somehow.
you can say that again taz... ours isn't due until the 28th it turns out. so hopefully we can buy it after thomas actually does get paid again a week on friday... assuming that his company doesn't find some excuse to not let them work this next week given that it's sunny at the moment...
Another busy day planned for today - tidying up crap ready for sorting in the week. This involves furniture moving and removing the other half of the carpet we started removing yesterday - a messy job as the carpet backing is now a nasty fine black powder - yuk
The thaw doesn't seem to have been too successful yesterday and the paths and roads around us are lethal I don't know if today will see the ice (cos most of it has turned to ice) melting.
Unfortunately the hills and slopes are a soggy splodge of mud, littered with the debris of Friday's fun - old broken sledges, plastic bags and any makeshift item people had managed to take there but not carry back home. what a pity people are so thoughtless sometimes :sigh:
Morning all, we still have a thick blanket of ice here but the roads aren't too bad now. The main roads are fine, it's just the side roads that are a problem. I am off to the gym later to kickstart my week. The scales are being nice to me this morning which is good!
howdy guys. well i realised that i think i've lost around 6lbs this week... i mean, i know it's the first week after a disasterous couple of weeks and just after totm, but i am back in the 13s (on my scales) for the first time in a while... so i'm happy with that. after going to my mate's for sunday dinner today i only hope that it is still that way in the morning.
it's snowing again here, which wouldn't usually be a cause for concern but i really hope thomas's work isn't closed again tomorrow or we're really really really in the poop...
well it's supposed to stop and be bright and sunny tomorrow. but i doubt that will stop his work from furking us over... *sigh*
still. we have the car stuff to take care of but other than that we can live rather cheaply at the moment. i know a lot of people going through this kind of thing have children which will make things infinately more difficult. it's more the saving for the wedding that's really worrying. because i've booked most things based on projected saving, and that's come to a bit of a halt. like i said. i'm sure we could manage it in time, as long as OH's work doesn't keep closing all the time!! if the worst came to the worst we could take a mortgage break of a month to catch ourselves up. but i'd really rather not to that as our mortgage is big enough as it is and just keeps going up. and then our payments would go up... best not to bother with that methinks...
Our little car escapade last week cost us £430 - not quite what we'd planned just before going away but we can't do without transport, it was bad enough while the car was in the garage x
ours is getting done tomorrow... and when dropping me at work thomas hit black ice and crashed into the curb, kerb? curb i think and dented the wheel rim. so hopefully he won't get a flat on the way to work. but what a delightful thing to do just before an MOT. we have a brand new spare though, so that's all good. best tyre the whole bloody car has and it's in the boot. it's going to sparkle when it's finally on!!
bloody hurt my shoulder where the seatbelt caught me though...
Morning all, we have lost most of our whiteness here as it rained yesterday but we still have some left. Not really sure if we are in for any more as there seems to be conflicting reports. I think we are going to get some sleet though
Cold an icy here, the are promising more tonight, it snowed like mad yesterday evening but it didn't seem to stick really. That was a close call then abz.
we skidded a few times this morning jim but this was black ice at 6.50 in the morning so we didn't have much of a chance really. especially when the rest of the road was gritted. they just missed this bit...
am going on an ibuprofin hunt later as my back is sore and so is my shoulder, but hopefully will be having lunch with a friend today. looking forward to it
