I bet, some idiot ahead of me this morning hadn't even bothered to scrape the ice of her windows. just a patch to see through.

good grief!! we had three idiots this morning. crossing several lanes of traffic to make a turn, but wanting to overtake down the inside before doing so. on three different dangerous junctions. i just don't understand how so many people get away without having accidents jim!!

what are you up to today in any case? you at work already? do you start early like me every morning jim?

I'm at work abz, Officially we don't start until 9 but the stores are all open at 8 so I like to be in. I do 8 to 5, 2 of my guys do 8 to 4 and the other 2 do 10 to 6, alternating each week.

i see... i do 7-5 most days as that's when the office starts business, but we don't officially cover until 9. but it does prevent operations having to ring the boss as he's getting out of bed if they have a problem. i change my hours if needs be though because we have to cover until six. today i'm doing an extra hour to make up snow time i took off and to cover somebody's holiday. so after today i'll only have one hour to make up. woo

Good morning everyone

We have quite heavy rain at the moment which seems to have been going most of the night. There are confilcting forecasts for this area and we could either have rain, sleet or heavy snow. If I believe the latter forecast the heavy snow will last for around 6 hours, turning to 3 hours of light snow and another 3 hours of heavy snow. I guess that we'll just have to sit tight and wait and see if it happens or if it passes us by

I have to do a big shop today and then get on with mega sorting out so that I can get on with having the flooring laid soon

Grrrrr I am Sooooooo peed off right now. After much ringing around to find the right people to speak to I have just found out that my share sceme with work isn't due to mature until 1sy May! I was expecting and relying on that money this month so it looks like, as well as not being able to pay various commitments, we aren't going to be able to go away as planned this weekend for our anniversary. I am so annoyed, mainly at myself for not having the right information. Grrrrrrr

That's bad news Taz cos I know you were looking forward to it. I hope something sorts itself out so you can go x

Just broke the bad news to Mr Taz and he wasn't too happy! We'll go out for dinner or something here instead. Back to the drawing board now, we've already got one court summons for non payment so I will have to spent the rest of the day on the phone to avoid anymore. I'd stupidly cancelled some of the smaller monthly payments with a view to pay them all off when I got the money and now they are all getting antsy! Woops!

oh taz!! good luck honey.

i'm not paid hourly jim, no, am paid monthly. but i am in a defecit of a couple of hours and i need to do them at some point. i would rather get rid of them so that if i do get any lieu time for working extra i can take it as holiday rather than it getting eaten into with this.

Thanks Abz, my wonderful mum has come to the rescue so I can pay some essential bills so that's been a real weight off! Totally gutted about our anniversary but that's not an essential expense so we can't justify it.

what a fab mum you have taz!! it's good that she's able to help you. it's awful when it's a cashflow problem isn't it? i mean that's most of our trouble at the moment, not that the money isn't there somewhere, just that we don't quite have our mits on it yet!!

It's what Mums and dad's are for, we've helped our kids out many a time.

Yes my parents are great, they have bailed me out many times. So much for growing up and looking after meself!
