Big Boys Need Love Too!

Hello Elle :)

Ah no, I know where the Travel lodge is in Gateshead and it's right near the big Interchange thing where there are buses and Metro's into Newcastle and their first stop is the train station... It won't cost much at all, less than £2 each one way definatly. It's about 2 minutes on the Metro which i would say is your best bet. So i really would go for that one. Even a taxi over would only be about a fiver...

Ahhh I would loooove to go to the Edinburgh Fringe, every year we say we'll go! but never do :( I've been on 3 day trips to Edinburgh though, getting an early train and the last one back that leaves about 9 i think it was.. or 10 :S cant remember now! It is such a beautiful city and yeah really easy to get to from Newcastle!

Hope you enjoy your stay, though I am sure you wont remember it after the excitement of Edinburgh Fringe! hee.

elle!! babes!! you're back. i've missed you :)

i have to say i wish i was working from home today. although i possibly wouldn't if my mum was there... i just want to be at home. although i don't think i'd be getting much done.. mainly sleeping, ha.

i know you've told me before, but what lovely hotels does your company 'do' and where? i seem to remember them being extortionately expensive though :D

Evening all. Hi Charlotte, welcome to Tyns Place!

I have had a bit of a busy day. This morning my friend phoned me to say she was at work and in lots of pain and was advised to go to the hospital. So I went out to get her from work, before I'd had chance to have breakfast, grabbing some Alpen lights on the way. I managed to eat one in the car on my way to the station. I picked her up and took her to a&e where we were told that there'd been a big road crash this morning and they would get her GP to see her today. So we went from there to the doctors. They didn't know what was wrong and took loads of samples for tests and told her to take loads of painkillers. As her car was still at the work car park I told her I would take her to pick it up as I had to pick Mr Taz up from work anyway. So I FINALLY got to eat at about 2pm and then eventually got home about half hour ago. I'd left home at 9.30am, so that was my day!

aw babes :(

i've also just noted that my ticker is telling me off for being fat.

and i just ordered pizza in the hope that this would stop me wanting everything and anything and i can start afresh. i can't stop eating or munching or craving. i think a lot of it may be the pain killers i've had to take today. so hopefully this weekend can be a new experience, even though we are visiting friends. still feel poop that i've ordered it though :(

Oh hun, it's not nice when medication messes it all up for us!

I found out today that Gem is not back until Sunday!

it's not the medication, it's my willpower!! it's just that the medication makes using the willpower more difficult. especially since i basically end up stoned... and i'm going to have to take more soon. my back is really really not happy with me!!

well, pizza saga over. horrid weigh in this morning. new day today. i certainly don't want to eat constantly any more so at least that's something...

hopefully i can get a grip or i'm going to have to find the money to do cambridge somewhere...

still. today is today. yesterday was yesterday. hopefully my back won't punish me quite so much today. off to see friends i haven't seen in ages so that will be fun :D

excellent news taz. i just hope i'm the same. taking painkillers known to slow weight loss and cause constipation isn't helping me much though, ha. think i may have to up the exercise.

at least i have upped the water intake. so that's something at least...

Squats are supposed to be good for easing constipation if you can do them! Today turned out not quite as planned (see my diary) and I wasn't overly pleased but there you go! Now I am tired!

:character00238: Good morning everyone:character00238:

I got back last night from Cornwall and started catching up on here but I bottomed out and went to bed. We got to the railway station to meet the train from Wales with about 25 mins to spare but that's not too bad on a 200 mile journey.

I am now missing the delightful 9 year old I had overnight in Cornwall and hope she was not too disappointed that she got home before the 9pm deadline which meant she didn't get the day off school today. Fair play to her, she's had a week with her mum, sisters and brothers in Cornwall, an overnight stay with Granny Gem a 200 mile car journey and a 150 mile train journey :character00238:

Have a lovely day everyone :character00238:

Hi gem

Arsene Wenger has no problem, he always makes me laugh.

I don't know what that means Jim!

Morning all, my scales have risen again this morning and I think it's due to my hijacked weekend with food that I was trying to avoid! I still have 3 days to try and rectify it!

good morning guys. i'm on the weight watchers wagon as of today. yes, i know. i've been chopping and changing all over the place. was thinking of low carbing but was worried about the cost and was dithering and wondering what to do. got to my mate's house on saturday and she handed me loads of weight watchers stuff she had apparently offered me about a year ago. ha. so there we go. i'm going to give it a shot for a month and see how it goes. i have a small pile of food in front of me that i'm currently trying not to eat yet and some apples in reserve. totally determined to get through today without going over my points. i was going to say without eating something i shouldn't, but that kind of goes against what ww is all about as there isn't anything you shouldn't, just the amount. hopefully this will get me out of the self-destructive loop i seem to have hit...

think i'll pootle off and make my cereal...

Ah well, although I'm a Rugby man myself, all my friends are football fanatics which means the football is always on in the pubs. Whenever a Ref gives a bad decision or Arsenal cede a goal he does this I'm having a cr*p impression. You'd have to see it to know what I mean. Most blokes would get it Taz. :)

Ah that's my failing Jim. I'm not a bloke! Ha ha

Abz, that sounds like a sensible plan. You will definately lose weight with WW and with a friend to help you along the way it will be much easier

ha. she doesn't do it any more taz. more's the shame of it. but another good friend of mine is currently doing ww for her wedding so i may get in touch with her. i can't afford to go to the meetings at the mo so i'm going it alone. going to continue swimming twice a week, although i have paid all weekend from my 30 lengths of breast stroke on thursday. serious pain. not fun. so think i may take it a little more gently next time...
