Big Boys Need Love Too!

I can imagine your happy dance Abz - made me smile x

Exercise is good Jools, and this from the couch potato, my excuse is I used up all my joint miles in the Army.

LOL, OK Gem, happy now. :)

No abz, he didn't muck up this time, it just happens sometimes, but as he is being punished for the last cock up, he gets to sort it. I might unlock the engine room door in a bit and let him have a cup of tea, depends how I feel. :D

Oooo.... Jim - you're SO tough - I'm glad I don't work for you!

Nah, they love me really, and I don't half push them on their learning and qualifications Gem. They are all doing MCE's and Level 3 NVQ's. I feel it's my duty to prepare them for high positions later in their career. Speaking of which, I have got Michelle an interview for a team leader position in Johnson's. I hope she gets it, she should do as the IT Director there is an old Protégé of mine. :D

i wish we got put through our qualifications jim. what are the salaries like at your place?? i may have to move to brum!!

Pretty poor for IT abz, IT support junior £17K, the 2 seniors up to £22K. You'd get more in a larger company though. Not that any are hiring at the moment. I notice the job pages in Computer Weekly are very few now.

HA!! well considering i'm degreed up and have been here for over a year, i'm on 14k!! fancy another trainee jim? :p :D

abz xx

Jeez, that's poor for IT abz, even for a junior position love.

Well if Michelle get's the job then I'll ask the directors if I can hire a replacement abz.

Abz on the move - whatever next! Does Colleen know about this?

.........and what is poor Thomas going to do - his job is in Leeds!!!!!

yes, bit of a commute that anz. Seriously if you are thinking of moving, London and Bristol are the best places for IT jobs and salaries.

I'll go and check out what it should be for your area abz, could be that it's average.

it's not jim. i'm pretty sure it's crap. but after not working in IT for so long after graduation it was a way in... if i'd known the economy was going to collapse and i wasn't going to get my 2k pay rise... i may have thought differently...

abz xx

No you are right abz, in the North East the average starter salary in It is £15K - £17K
