Blergh! - FatFairNForty(ish) - my diary

Such a good point. I'm ridiculed slightly by my work colleagues over the amount of water I drink and the shakes I consume. Not allowed to give them a piece of my mind - disrupts the whole office politics and makes me look as though I've a chip on my shoulder.

Oh-hum ......

As the weight goes, that ridiculing will stop and be replaced by envy - be a rare thing if they were all perfect in every way - the one thing big people like us tend to do is develop deep characters and a deep character in a slimmer body is might powerful - more powerful than those Shallow Hals appear to be

Go get 'em - make them sick with envy and let them put that in their office politics pipe and smoke it

Dr Kawashimas Brain Training

Was looking for something noble to put down for my 300th post (how quick did that bloody happen - thank you Word Thread for probably half) :p

So here goes,

My kids gave me a Nintendo Ds with that Dr Kawashimas Brain Training game (clearly the hints were not too subtle). :)

IT IS BRILLIANT. :D

You go through all these short but fun training exercises that build up on a daily basis and also do a daily brain age check. It supposed to assess the physical state of your brain.

My Brain Age varies between 26 and 29 years old - a full 21 to 17 years under my actual age.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

I don't say this to boast (liar, liar pants on fire) but to shout out loud I HAVE A LARGE THROBBING ORGAN THATS FIT AND HEALTHY.

Aren't I rude.

By the way

Daughter (Actual Age 21 - I tell her nearly 22 haha) Brain Age 49 (my how I laughed) :D
Son (Actual Age 19 - I say near 20) Brain Age 63 (PMSL) :D
Son (Actual Age 18 - just) Brain Age 39 - and improving :)

If you haven't tried it - get one and give it a go

Cheers

Punkass

Alas I am the bearer of bad news - whilst the DS is just under the £100 mark - there is no Lemmings game for it

Just checked and they don't do Dr Kawashima for anything else

oh dear - sorry

Well I don't know if I should admit to this, but I tried the brain training game in the shop, and ended up with a brain age of 84 (and I'm only a sprightly 42:eek:   ). Decided therefore tis a stupid game and it smells - so there, yah boo sucks. (P'raps that should have been the brain of an 8 year old - would be more fitting).

With regards to the envy, so true, and amusing to watch how different people react to the new slimmer you (as long as you don't let "them" get to you). I have a few overweight friends who just went into denial and stopped acknowledging my weight loss and even now say very little about it or the fact I'm now working as a CDC - I know they're still waiting, avidly, for my weight to pile back on. And then a couple of the skinny gals at work, kept "kindly" telling me to stop now, I was slim enough, didn't want to lose anymore etc, etc - I don't think they liked the idea of fat Jan joining their skinny girls group! Joined them, ha, I whopped their skinny ar*es LOL

Hope you're ok today FFF having had a bit more sleep now and are feeling a bit brighter and more positive. :) But say what you wanna say & spout away, you've always got a great point to make & you make it so well & you know you'll well loved here no matter how up or down you're feeling.

xx

Where are you Jennie? You OK?.......:)

Lots of love

PS - Brain Training is great game....not done it for a while....must go search for son's DS now....although I think it's been superglued to his hand...... Had a new game for Christmas so been on it non-stop....kids:rolleyes:

Hope you're ok, Jenny!!!

BTW - that Brain Game told me that I was in my 80s and so I tried really, really hard to concentrate and got my brain age down to my 40s (I'm 42 on Friday - yuk!) but then something shiny caught my eye and I lost interest..........

Hmph well thats a bit of a pain in the @rse!! Thanx for checking though.. I could well still get it.... there must be other games that I would like.. that don't involve driving (can't keep my arms still, actually move like i'm driving a car.. all terribly embarrassing), fighting (love fighting for real - as in martial arts.. but never seen the attraction of fighting games) or war (v boring!).... I'm pretty certain i have the brain of a 10 year old.. so it will be refreshing to see if i'm right!!

I've just had a text from 'our jennie' and she is fine....just busy busy as usual:rolleyes:

She has assured me she will be back tomorrow to post what she's been up to these past couple of days......:)

I've a feeling it's gonna be a mammoth posting.....;)

Love
