Boo's SW Diary - My Story

Lazy day sounds lovely and I'm glad you are feeling a bit better :) I'm having a meringue nest topped with total 2% yogurt, honey and figs tonight for pudding - 5 syns and no chocolate in sight!

Great idea on getting refocused with Mr. Boo - You've done so well and I know you will get back into the swing of things in no time.

Best of luck for the coming week!

Fresh figs although i'm sure you could use dried for a few syns... they might even be a HEB? Fresh figs £1 for 3 big juicy ones in Sainsbury's at the moment :D x

Day 125 - Monday 19 September 2011

Hiya everyone :wavey:

Well its day 2 of being 100% and so far so good lol. I decided to go to Asda today to get some more fresh fruit and to pick up a few bits, it was really weird driving as I haven't drove for a week since the operation. Got half way round Asda's and decided I had enough my sinuses and nose was throbbing so much I just wanted to get home, so quickly got the food through the till as soon as I could and jumped in the car and went home.

This is seriously getting me down now :cry:

Anyhoo enough of feeling sorry for myself, todays food is as follows;-

Breakfast has been bacon and eggs (yum!)

Lunch was two slices of toast (hexb) with a tbps of honey (4 syns) and chopped banana (omg seriously yumminess!)
Dinner was cold chicken, roasty potatoes and veg
Rest of syns spent on a delmonte ice lolly with frozen yogurt (4 1/2 syns)
Various fruit during the day.

Yay no chocolate today! So proud of myself lol and coming to the end of day 2 of 100% again

Think I will weigh myself on my scales tomorrow morning as I can't go back to class until next Tuesday as not allowed to be in a room full of people yet (in case of germs). Seriously threw the plan out of the window on Saturday but had such a good time so not feeling guilty at all, I'm in for the long run not a short sprint.

Hope everyone is having a lovely evening Boo xxx

Sweetie these ops take time to heal. How many days has it been now? It will get better. Are you taking some painkillers? you should sweetie to take the edge off until it has time to heal.

Will send reiki later :bighug: xxxxxx

Hiya Jackie, its my 7th day today, I know your right guess I'm feeling a tad sorry for myself lol, I have co-codamol but I dont' want to live on it if you know what I mean, Mr Boo says I should take them regulary and don't be a marytr to the pain, but they make you so constipated that I'd rather do without tbh. I'd love you to send me some reiki, thanks Jackie Boo xxx

mmmm I do see your point well in that case what about co codamol at bedtime to help have a good nights sleep and paracetamol during the day to take the edge off?

Do you go back for a check sweetie?

hope it soon eases. My FIL had this op as did my friends hubby, and I know it took a while but both said it was worth it in the long run:D xxxxxx

6 weeks time xx

I've heard the same Jackie so fingers crossed, I guess it takes ages for the bruising etc to settle down plus I guess with all this breaking, cutting and stitching they've done will take a time to heal xx Boo xxx

Hi Boo well done on your day 2 100% :D
Sorry to hear the pain isn't under control - great idea from Jackie to just take the cocodamol at night and the paracetamol during the day. At least you can get a good nights sleep that way. Plus the cocodamol shouldn't leave you too constipated if you take them with plenty of water.

I know it's tough at the moment but I'm sure it will all be worth it once it's healed a bit more. Keep positive!

I posted this in my diary but incase you don't see it I used half a 170g tub of total 2% for the meringue - the whole tub was 2 syns. I used a tbsp of honey for 2.5 syns although you could add sweetner instead which would just leave the syns in the meringue. Hope you like it x

Awww thanks for that Becky, I got all the ingredients today so I'm looking forward to it, but couldnt find the fresh figs so having it with chopped kiwi instead :D Have just taken some co-codamol and will up my water intake so fingers crossed or I will result to using some laxatives lol Boo xxx

what about trying lactulose instead of laxatives> if needed obviously xxxxxxx :bighug: xxxxx

I've got some of that Jackie, thats a better idea isn't it lol the subjects we talk about eh?! hehe Boo xxx

Day 126 - Tuesday 20 September 2011

Woke up at 8.30 am yay! It was lovely :D

Not really done much today other than some washing and tidying clothes away, I resorted to the co-codamol last night and have taken some just now, I don't feel like being a maytr today

I've decided on a red day today for a change, breakfast this morning was wheatabix with semi-skimmed milk and sweetner, lunch was cheese and ham salad with tbsp of light mayo think that was 2 syns, I've got one hexb left and not sure what I'm going to have for dinner tonight, might be chicken might be eggs and bacon lol

Right I've got the two dogs asleep beside me, Mr Boo playing on his laptop, my feet are up and there's a funny film on the tv.... time to catch up with some diaries :D:D:D Boo xxx

Just don't take too much of it:eek::eek:

Glad to hear that you are getting plenty of rest, and definately don't be a martyr to the pain x

Oooh no not to much of lactolose lol, yes definately a restful day today, mind you I've got the munchies lol  Boo xxx

I agree with Jackie too :)

Don't be in pain if you don't need to be and if those ones bung you up try a differnt one.

Enjoy your lazy day :D

Hi Boo, sorry to hear you weren't feeling too good last night :( Was it anything particular or is it all just getting a bit much?

Remember you have had surgery and it's normal to feel a bit down after something like that. Being in pain and not being able to do everything you want to is tough! I know you will start to feel better soon though and you've just got to keep focusing on that.

Can you take ibuprofen? You can take these alongside the cocodamol - they're not strong in a 'make you feel funny' way but they are a really good pain killer especially taken with something else. They also bring swelling down which might be a bonus?

Try and stay positive Boo, I think you're doing absolutely fantastic under the circumstances and it's quite understandable if it all gets a bit much. Pop by my diary or PM me any time even if you just want to vent!

Hope you've had a decent nights sleep and can put your feet up today and relax a little.

Becky x
