Bren's Diary - The journey begins, again!

They sound beautiful! How was the fete?

Today hubby and I went for a drive to a country town and had lunch out. Completely spur of the moment and I had white fish and salad, a glass of red.... and a biscuit.

But I feel so confident and thin still now after the meal has digested (4hrs ago)! I'm still planning to have my evening meal as Cohen's says you should never skip a meal no matter how full you are. I have already, in the past 2.5 days lost some cm's around the waist from this diet and feeling thinner. Tomorrow sorry NOW, back on the plan. Hoping this can continue through next weekend and the following week (total of my school holidays).

How's your day fairing so far?

How have you got on today Bren?

My days been good... am not feeling hungry at all & all carb cravings have disappeared. Haven't felt this good since I did Cohens 100%! x

hi bren, how are you? I'm finding losing weight hard because I keep thinking I havent lost anything :/ are you losing weight slowly, like 1 pound a week like me? I sliped up and had about 2 ice creams this week! ahh

Hi Georgie,

I have about 6 kilos to loose or just under which is about 9lbs?? I'm in Oz so we use metric. I'm doing a program (restarted my old program) Cohen's it's quite restrictive only a small group of veges to choose from and same with proteins, crackers etc.

This is my typical day today;

175g yoghurt, kiwi, 1/4 apple, 1 ryvita and one sweetner
decaf and 1/4 apple
1 egg and 110g of veg , 1 ryvita
coffee
kiwi and g/tea
115g fish and 115g vege, sprite zero
1/2 apple, 1 cracker and g/tea

4 ltrs of water.

I should loose in 2 weeks about 4 kilos as a minimum and then I will start my refeed. It's a great diet however as with most you need to get in the zone and i really have mucked around with that for about 4 weeks and only have just managed 3 great 100% days. Except yesterday's meal out and wine......

Got it together again for last nights dinner and today I dont see myself as having cheated and I still feel slim today. Hang in there. Post or message me if you need some encouragement.

The pound a week is still a loss. I also take my measurements as they move more than the scales. I also set myself a goal that I new I could achieve to boost my confidence, like 3 ltrs of water today and 3 pieces of fruit and then tomorrow do this but add another 500mls of water and a 30 min walk. Also try writing down why you want to loose weight and read these points before you go to bed and first thing when you wake in the morning.

Keep in touch and you can do this, we both can.

Yeh not too bad today. Did however have a couple of sultanas, 15 grapes, 1T spoon of muesli and an extra apple. It's because I went to the gym. Tummy feels a little bloated, but I'm going to keep busy and stay posting until i go to bed. Just finishing off my last water.

How's was the hen's night?

I just managed this morning to put on my skinny pair of jeans I bought when I lost weight last year. They do up but I have a muffin top! So hoping when the waist gets to around the 75cm mark they will feel comfortable.

Ditzee, you are feeling fab and I can hear the confidence in your posts, WELL DONE!!!!! Bring on Friday hey.

Definitely may have to put these in my goals on Friday. I have dropped some cm's around the waist and hope to report some good efforts on Friday also..

I've just had a protein bar as I went to the gym and found myself in the hungry mode. I've just drunk half a litre of water too, so a little bloated but going to stay up for 30mins and get it out before bed time.

Well done bren, you sound incredibly positive! i'm trying to get through this 2 litre bottle of water next to me, i've taken up drinking as much as i can!

I wish i could go to bed...stuck here at work for ages yet. No actually, I wish i could go outside and lie in the sun, it's a lovely day today. Oh well, at least I have a nice view of a vauxhall garage from my window to keep me happy. hahahaha. Sorry, I do babble on sometimes xxx

No worries Elle I love your babble.

Melbourne has been 16 degrees and very very windy the past 2 days. So sun would be great!

I have a sports water bottle 750ml, that I use throughout the day. I try to drink 1 with and stright after my breakfast, also take my vitamins then.

I then try to drink another bottle while getting ready for work and the rest in the car on the way. I pee asap when arriving to work but then I've done nearly half for the day. I try for another bottle before lunch and half another after. I'm a teacher so when school finishes I fill the bottle and drive home. Then I only have to drink 1 more before bed and that's usually 5 hours away and I can do it slowly.

Getting the first 2 down is the best feeling. How big is your bottle? It might help to have a smaller one that way it doesn't seems so daunting.

How's the eating going?

i drink by glasses. so i usually have one glass before work and then as i sit at work i drink slowly and then keep pouring. my bottles are big 2 litre ones. i think i've drank around a litre from it so far...which is very good for me haha. i'm surprised i havent been severely dehydrated before this. :) xxx

Elle I was just wondering how tall are you?

I'm 5ft7 and hoping to get to 65 kilos about 10st and by my birthday about the 67-68 mark I think is realistic, it's in 3.5 weeks. Roughly for my waist to be 75cm's.

i'm 5ft 10. my target weight is 11st 6lbs, possibly even somewhere around the 11st mark. the least i could be is 9st 2lbs before i hit 'underweight' on the bmi but as i'm quite big boned i think i'd look skeletal anywhere under 10 stone... :) Don't know about cm's but i'd love to be a UK size 12. x

Darling you are on your way I think when I'm at goal it's your size 10 or 12 depending on the shop and label! I know that it's 70cm's around my waist!!!!

Tried on a pair of jeans today size 12 got them on and had a small muffin top! Hoping they will just fit snug in 3 weeks; perhaps by the end of next week.

Told hubby I would like a quiet weekend at home to avoid any encounters with alcohol! Also aiming for everyday at the gym this week (week days only), wish me luck. I am a gym junkie at heart.

thanks hun:) yes you look like you have a very 'fit' physique! i, on the other hand, absolutely hate the gym. however, i do love swimming, i'm trying to persuade someone to come with me. it's an excuse at the moment to be fair, i keep putting it off. it's just getting in the right mind set :) xxx

Agreed. What about Yoga? It's not very sweaty and the results are great if you can do 1 session a week for a couple of months. Only problem is it's a little expensive over here.

hmmm i may start at some point. i'm doing exercises at night before bed. i do around 120 sit ups and 100 'cycles' in the air and some bum and waist exercises, and stretches to improve my awful flexibility! lol.

anyway i read you've gone to bed so sweet dreams. talk to you tomorrow, have a nice day! :) xxx

Floor exercises are really good. Dont doubt them EVER! If you put a couple of walks in there a week the weight will really shift.

Today has been another good day with my just getting back from the gym. I knew I would be hungry after, infact ravenous is the best word to describe it. I ate afterwards an atkins snack bar, kiwi and a coffee with milk. All in all feel a little bloated from the milk but full and going to guzzle some more water as I have only managed 2 ltr so far and it's half five.

How's your water been going?

hi bren. sounds like you've had a good day :) i have my totm again!! one week on, one week off it looks like. so woopdedoo. my day didn't get off to a good start :)

more water needs pouring down my neck. looks like i'm going to gain this week with all this water retention :(

abz xx

yeah i was worried about water retention too. how can you avoid it? water went well yesterday as far as my aims are, had around 2 1/2 ltrs i reckon. i was walking everyday up until last week and the weight wasn't shifting, i really dont know why. so i'm going to take it a bit slower and keep up the floor exercises every night for now, build up the exercise slowly. i'm already able to do more of every exercise than i could 3 weeks ago (yay) :) xxx
