Bren's Diary - The journey begins, again!

Yes, thanks.

i was out all day today and didn't bring my lunch with me and ran out of time for the gym, also got a sick hubby! If stopped eating for this evening it's 7.30pm. I stopped about 15 mins ago just hot drinks/teas now.

Might do some floor exercises before bed though.

So today I had a protein bar and apple for lunch and then another apple, cheese 35g and crackers 2, and another protein bar. This was lunch and afternoon snacks, my bars are 133 cals today. Dinner was as planned.

Hoping for a loss around the waist. But isn't it the most awful feeling when you feel bloated or in my case not sure if bloated from fluids or because I cant suck my tummy in as I still have sore abs from the gym! Still fingers and toes crossed. Also want an early night tonight, 10pm as I think this helps!

What about you hows the morning shaping up?

Well today was okay, even though I was out at lunch so I ducked into the shops and picked up and apple and protein bar! However this afternoon could have been a disaster if I didn't manage to drink my water, think I could have eaten lots, but then there was will power right out of nowhere!!!

Hoping tomorrow will bring a downward move on the old ticker!

i've also decided to eat breakfast by 7 or 8 in the morning and not eat after 7.15/7.30 in the evening and off to bed by 10. A very simple rule I used to live by what happened??

Sounds like your doing really well! Should be on for a good measure in tomorrow then?

I'm not holding out much hope... my weight hasn't shifted since sunday. Bought some water retention tablets today as I'm feeling really uncomfortable!

Are you getting excited about your birthday yet? x
 
i feel bloated too so that's three for three. but my scales did shift down 1/2 lb this morning so somethings moving. well. it's body fat. i know that. my scales said so, ha. hoping i'll get a whoosh when i get rid of all this extra fluid though!!

Yeh a little excited....

Threw it out there to my mum that I might like some pearl stud earrings!

I should be having a good measure tomorrow as i gained last week and then as the week has been;

Fri - 100%
Sat - 100%
Sun - lunch out and a glass of wine and biscuit (really only bad day)
Mon - 90% only ate a little extra and all that i'm allowed
Tues - 65% first day at the GYM and went a little overboard with the eating after, fruit, honeycomb (2p), crackers cheese, 2 protein bars
Wed - same as Monday GYM
Thurs - 90% skipped lunch but had an apple and bar (133cals) instead, followed my another apple and bar, 2 crackers with cheese, and 1/3cup yoghurt and a banana NO GYM

I've managed 3 if not 4 ltrs on most days and today about 2.6 and some g/teas

Fingers crossed, really though I'm loosing what I stupidly binged on last thurs before my measure in! need to be 79cm or less around the weight with my total measurements 359cm or less!

Yes that's right it's a loss for me today!!!!

Total of 357.5cm for my body measurements today, last week was 364cm. My waist has lost from the previous weeks, completely off focus and binges, it is now 78.5cm. So really would like to be 75 around the waist in 3 weeks time and total body of 350cm.

I'm feeling very in control even as the weekend approaches. I dont think I will drink at the football and again will take my own snacks. Will beg hubby to come home for dinner after the game and not eat out as usual. Weekends are my struggle time, but we have some painting and organising to do around the house before the inlaws and other guests arrive in about 4 weeks!

However I have managed to really recognise the balance this week with food and exercise and finding something to do at the moments I would normally buckle, yes the will power and control is back!

This is life and I think I'm on my way to managing it.

HI EVERYONE!

I had a good weekend. Really busy with painting and getting the apartment organised before our string of visitors start in a couple of weeks.

I ate a couple of meals out on the weekend, Thai and pasta, and 2 glasses of wine. Also a few sweet bites..... Anyway been exercising and my hunger is up but feeling fitter to trying to balance all of that.

Linz, I thinking of mainly Cohen's with some calorie counting in combination with the gym? What l do you think. I have also decided to take a look back at a time when things were really working for me, and I'm going to try and incorporate these.

like....
no eating after 7.30pm
4 ltrs of water
2 or 3 peices of fruit a day
4 or 5 sessions at the gym a week (3 weights and 2 soley cardio)
reading books
some calorie counting, well really Cohen's and counting the extra I will be adding in.

I still feel in control of things and realise that I was putting too much pressure on myself for my birthday for in the next 2 weeks going to keep going with the flow and really focus on getting and keep the motivation for my exercise.

How is everyone???? Sorry for the rant. Feel a little guilty, weird having not been online for a few days.

Glad you've had a good weekend... sounds like you've had a busy one!

I think that what you have planned is a very good idea... Cohens is great but I think to make it work & have a life you have to come off plan slightly... as long as somethings working for you & its easy to fit into your life I think that is the best in the long run!!

You sound focused & know what you want to achieve & that is the most important thing... how you get there is really up to you!!

You will get there babes of that I'm certain. xx

hi bren. how has it gone today?

in answer to your questions the chap in the pic is indeed my OH and we are getting married on the 18th july next year. i am currently stressing trying to find a hotel for us on that night as they all have a two night minimum stay over the weekend which i think is shocking. it will cost about £500 so i am trying to figure out whether we can afford it....

Feeling slightly bummed today as i dont think in 3 weeks that I will be fitting into my black dress. i have tried it on and it's pulling and wont be comfortable to wear, especially as we will be going out for dinner.......


Will keep at it and see where I get too but as of next week I'll be shopping for another dress.

aw hon. three weeks is a long time!! don't give up. and even if you do have to get another dress, you are a lot closer than you were before. keep at it!! you could really surprise yourself. especially if you up the water intake to 3-4 litres a day....
