Bren's Diary - The journey begins, again!

I haven't been to Penang but yes from what I do know it's very similar to Phuket. I went to Phuket and Bagkok last year also. We wanted to go to Vietnam but left it too late to book and it worked out $2500 AUS more expensive.

How are you going with your food? Have you had some losses recently. I dont think I've been over to yours in a while. Will do though very soon. I'm in the middle of cleaning before I head out to the gym too.

i was thinking about penang for our honeymoon before all our finances went tits up... :)

i have about a week's worth of cd stuff sitting in the kitchen. am really into ww at the moment but it's good to know it's there for an emergency if needs be. am going to have to see if it's still in date though, ha. might start having a cd for brekkie or something to use it up...

not sure what i'm going to get up to today as of yet.

have had 1.5 points so far this morning. musn't forget my crispbreads and philly today... didn't really have anything for work yesterday...

Abz maybe keep the CD for 2 weeks before the wedding so you are pumped about a extra thinness for the big day??

Even though you will not need it. Also just remembered about celery and hummus for snacking! Not sure if you like, it would be extremely low in points and very benefical celery as it's a negative food.

i was snacking on celery and low fat dip last week bren. am looking into humous as i do really like it. a little too much truth be known...

Sorry my love - have been somewhat absorbed in work and tyler! Your rant was more of an amazing period of self realization...I'd been extreemly proud of yourself, in fact amazed. How far you have come in identifying how truely fantastic you really are! Well done that girl!!! :) I am sitting by the patio doors currently, staring at the gorgeous sun...it's only March but we are having some gorgeous weather...very unlike the UK for now...although our summers are changing.... but we're only early spring!!!!! :)
 
we've had mega hot bits in april the last couple of years and then no summer to speak of... at least we should get SOMEthing... but i wanted to go for a walk this morning and it was really cloudy. i step into work for my late shift and the sun begins to shine. bloody typical!!

If you're thinking of going to Penang as a stand alone, I'm sure it wouldn't be too bad on price? Once you get there it's really really cheap, cheaper than Thailand IMHO. My holiday last year cost me £1800 in total, but that included going to Dubai, Bangkok, Kanchanaburi (River Kwai), Penang and Kuala Lumpur - and having personalised chauffeur driven tours, I was also on a single supplement. So your honeymoon may not be so pricey.

I havent done any excersise yet and I had a doughnut for lunch and rice pudding after dinner! and might not do any tomorrow :p

I'm going to an interview tomorrow for voluntry work to help with teaching the disabled...hopefully it will be to do with art as I did a graphic design diploma.

what subject do you teach bren?
 
Georgie I teach everything. 3 years of Graphic Design and Multimedia, 3yr Bachelor of Fine Art and a Diploma of Education. blah!!

Teaching Photography, Graphic and Art at the moment. Last year was Art, Fashion and Photography. Anything Art I love...!

Well an okay day so far today;
yoghurt, mango and blueberries, tofu and salad, CD shake, nectarine and a funsize Crunchie (it's been staring at me for 3 weeks now!) and 2 coffee's and 6 cracker/crispbreads. Dinner will be Tofu curry and then the gym me thinks about 8.00. I like to go late, then come home and have a green tea and go on minimins and do my 250 sit ups.

Feeling a little bloated. I've only drunk about 2 ltrs today... Will aim for another litre at the gym/dinner/drive home, leaving now. Also messing with my pill to avoid TOM in Thailand so this may effect my WI on Friday????

Gorgeous pics CC. I completely forgot about Penang is it very touristy?? I expect so and this is good sometimes as it means the price is always very reasonable for travelling to these places.

Might have a closer look for next year!

Well dinner didn't eventuate and it hasn't the past 2 nights also...... When I get home I make the lunches for the next day and usually because I'm so hungry at that time of the day I make myself a snack and nibble.

All the snacks and nibbles (must say all healthy options, like cheese and crackers, grapes, dried apple rings, a slice of bread today only and some yoghurt coated apricot bits) equate to my dinner calories. SO I've done the smart option and not eaten dinner after this and gone to the gym. Same will happen tonight.

I have something to do straight after school tomorrow so I will not have time to deviate and must get home and have a planned cooked meal. This is my mission for tomorrow, I feel it's not a terrible habit to be in as I am not having a meal in which will clearly push me over the edge and calorie wise but definitely dont want to get used to it as today it is beginning to feel like the norm.

Hope that all made sense. Any thoughts people???
 
Actually change of plans just going to clean the house etc.

my exercise has been;
SAT - YOGA
SUN - NIL
MON - GYM
TUE - GYM
WED - NIL

Not too bad will try and go for 40 mins in the morning instead. Which means I can stay online and get organised personally a little.

Yeah just need to do my 250 sit ups before bed and some floor exercises too not feel guilty about skiving!

Off to have a shower now, back soon.
 
Well people, I'm going to go to bed early in a bid to go to the gym early morning, i'll let you know how this plays out.

Not happy though as 2 dresses that I bought on the weekend for Thailand, I washed today in cold water and the black one shrunk?? Got the receipt out the basket and going to take it back after work tomorrow! Will have another look at it again in the morning. Not sure if i should get another one? The white one with the floral pattern is exactly the same fabric... strange?

Yes, def take back and perhaps the other too! You seem to be on the ball and doing well. :) I am having a bad TOTM and I find excersize difficult as I suffer a lot with it. Not long now till departure eh? x x x
 
hi bren, thats cool that your into art! are you sure those snacks you said earlier, equal to a meal? I heard that the main meal you should have is roughly about 700 calories!
 
Lou babe I didn't go yesterday or this morning to the gym, just going to have dinner now and then go in about an hour! I found to get back into it just do 30 mins a day and that way it's not a chore.

Abz the dress has been returned and I swapped it for another, it is a little shorter than the other though??

Georgie, yep very sure all my nibbling got up to the 1250 calorie mark for the day! Today I've been much better. Going to have dinner, go get my nails done and then to the gym.

It's WI tomorrow and I am a little nervous..... always. Hoping to be under 70.5 but really wold like to be in the 60's!!! PLEASE...

16 days to go now until we leave and I want 2 kilo gone. Maybe tomorrow I'll wake up and it will be!

i'm sort of trying to be strict with my eating for another week and use the 7 days, which I was going to do 10, as a refeed and slightly higher calorie. My Cohen's roughly when I stick to it is anywhere between 750 - 1000, i suppose depending on the meals I select. Today's cohen (slightly modified by me) goal is 1080. Trying to do next 7 days or so at 1000 - 1100 and then refeed 1100 - 1250 perhaps?
