Caledonian Dukan

Could you have any more on your plate CD - hope your night is better than you think. Poor kids - hope you don't get the dreaded flu too!!! You get a gold star for holding it all together - not sure I would go for IV coffee more IV wine!!!!! Much nicer!!!! LOL! Hope you have kept to a good Dukan day! x
On a lighter note my Mum has a lovely Bichon who is a lovely dog but she is forever at the groomers or having a bath so great for the city but hopeless as a country dog but they are fab with children!!! She loves Ben and sooo gentle with him but understand the breed might not be hubbys first choice though they can be very rough and tumble too!!! Listen to us all getting excited about dogs!!!!

I hope you got some sleep CD... I have fond memories of being ill as a child, being cared for by my Mum. It's not the same when ill as an adult at all! grrrr!

I'm a cat person, as widely documented, BUT I'm reliably informed that labradoodles are a good pet (and I'm spending the weekend after next in the company of two of them!). Large soppy things :) (My girls will obviously spend the weekend "home alone"...)

Labs are also great with kids ... my friend breeds them alongside German short haired pointers & labradoodles... she has an adult doodle looking for a home just now left over from a litter that was slow to sell... a very sweet girl she is :D The pointer puppy I was getting from her hasnt worked out :( shes very aggresive ...previous owners have done something :( and because i possibly wanted to breed from her we've decided she isnt right for us ... I think my friend is having her pts as she doesnt want to risk someone being hurt :(

That's sad Ellie, can't ever risk people getting hurt though. Our neighbour on the island is the Island's vet, he has eleven dogs, all different, but recommends Hungarian Vizla as the best breed for families. Looking forward to whichever we choose - love dogs and cats.
Well, have been up sice 2am - Autumn called me 8 times from then for water as her temperature was so high, poor thing. She's a wee bit brighter today, shame the weather isn't - hail and bad winds on walk back from school were very unpleasant. So very, very tired!!!! Mixed up 400g of silken tofu with 250g of yoghurt and a sachet of SF jelly crystals and am going to scoff it all by the end of the day. Really struggling not to eat chocolate and have a glass of wine, I know it's not worth it but I'm feeling very down. :sigh:

we had the winds and battering rain/hail last night... kept me awake all night untill hubby got up for work at 5.30

keep at it CD - you're doing so well - you're like my Dukan Idol :) xx

Wont be long 'til your OH is back and hopefully long before then all the kiddywinks will be back to health and you'll have gotten a decent nights sleep :) (hugs) x

Flippin heck if anyone deserves choccy and wine it is you but you're right it won't make you feel any better - hope you are feeling less tired and managed to get some rest during the day. Weather has been blustery and rainy here too - not fun. Bet the tofu mixture was yummy and I hope you have eaten the whole lot. Keep strong CD the next 23 days will whizz back and then two whole weeks with Mr CD who will be in charge of all the children so you can get some r&r (much deserved!!!). Chin up love and keep strong. Hope Autumn sleeps better tonight x

Still a plague house here :sigh:. On a positive note though, it's slowly getting better and I bought two size 8 skirts that fit!!!!!!! Very happy and motivated as obviously they'd look even better with a few more pounds off. Going to get some prices for full leg waxes and get these bad girls out this year - Glasgow watch out! I'll definitely need new summer shoes to go with my new skirts, and some nice tops too ;).
Good Dukan day, looking forward to tomorrow PV as am having a lovely tuna casserole and rhubarb and ginger muffins. Yum Yum.

Great news regards the skirts :) my legs haven't been seen out and about since circa 1994 ;) perhaps this year :D might need some serious amount of fake tanning though ;) x

Oh I don't worry about my lily white legs :)
CD - I'm thrilled to read about your new purchases, and wow at size 8! Does this mean Conso is near? I hope so!

I don't worry about the colour of my legs but do worry about being mistaken for a gorilla!
Hubby and I are both going on to Conso when he gets here in the summer, regardless of what weight we are. He still needs to lose 10lbs to get to a healthy bmi and is fed up, so I need to support him by staying on Cruise.

Size 8, size8, size 8!!! GOOOOOOOO CD, amazing stuff. And lily white legs are a must for the start of the season! LOL! That means you are an American size 4 - will pick you up something when I go in October so you can have a size 4 in the wardrobe!!!! LOL! Hope the little ones are still on the mend and you are getting more sleep. I have been having a week of sneaky lie - ins (7.50am this morning!!!) as Ben at the local Pre School for the next two weeks - loving it but up early tomorrow as a 30 min drive to my other child minder!!! LOL!

7 year old clearly getting worse, 3 year old still really bad too. Loads of kids off at school and nursery. Going to be a hard weekend. Just found out that the company that does tablet cheesecake has a very popular chocolate fudge profiterole cheesecake. Wow. Going to go to bed with the kids as it'll be another really disturbed night, missing my wine tonight which I don't usually any more. Must be the stress of the last fortnight.

Oh No hope they will feel better soon and then you can give a sigh of relief remember sleepless nights very well ................ the joys of having babies - take care of yourself CD xxx

You don't know me, but I've been following you since I started this diet 4 weeks ago (I sound like a stalker - I've been following other regular posters too!) What you've achieved in terms of weight loss is fantastic! Once the children are better, reward yourself with some real 'me time'. Meanwhile, perhaps you can enjoy just cuddling them, in the knowledge that they won't be seeking cuddles from you for ever. Take care

You'll be like me... I feel like that billy Connolly sketch. I fake tan to take away the blue tinge that comes with my Scottishness! X

Your halo is glowing bright CD, you deserve a medal for coping with everything this last couple of weeks, hope you get some sleep tonight and that there is a shift in the right direction health wise for everyone. Not sure what activities you can do over the weekend with several sick children that they will all be able to enjoy or benefit from and also something that requires minimum effort from you!!! Does such an activity exist........???? But remember your still a size 8!!!! LOL!

hope the children are starting to feel better CD :)

Hi Sara, I'm glad my weight-loss is motivating ;) and I hope you are enjoying Dukan. You are so right about enjoying cuddles whilst they are young and don't ration them - my fifteen year old rarely cuddles me and "puts up" with it when I cuddle her. I wish I could give my father a big hug, he passed away four years ago and was the only affectionate member of my (rather dysfunctional!) family. My "me time" is going to be some pampering - I'm thinking an Indian head massage if I'm feeling flush or a new bottle of bubble bath if I'm not! :D
