Caledonian Dukan

i just had the last portion of fanta sweet n sour sauce lol.... wonder if the sauce would freeze ok

Ahhh poor u - may try this recipe this week - great excuse to get some diet irn brew. Hope your feeling more wide awake today and having a good Dukan day too!

Very odd day - so weary I couldn't actually be bothered to eat any veg . Breakfast and lunch were completely PP and I forced myself to prep roasted BNS/pepper to have tonight simply because I know I need to keep healthy and have some vitamins. Honestly, the cold coupled with the stress of the last few days have floored me. I'm not sleeping well either as I'm listening for being needed if her collar-bone hurts in the night.
On a positive note, husband says he's going to make me have a week in Italy in July without the wee ones, I'm going to spend quality time with my eldest instead. Can't wait. :D
Tomorrow PP:
B - Scrambled eggs; L - tuna x 2; D - Chicken; S - Tofu/Muffin

Love, you need some TLC time - what a lovely idea from Mr CD - well deserved for sure. That will be something to look forward to. No wonder your not sleeping, hopefully things will now settle down and you will get over the worst of the cold and start to feel better. You need to keep eating even though it's not easy when your feeling rubbish. Hope the wee one feeling better and the collar bone not hurting too much. Keep your chin up CD soooooooo much to look forward to! Just think how much harder this all would have been last year when you were 90lbs heavier????? ?xx

Well today started at 3.30am due to wee one's collarbone - gosh I'm tired. Sat watching Scooby-Doo with a cup of tea as daughter next to me needs lots of cuddles and doesn't, understandably, want me to do anything else. Good Dukan day, very little appetite still but made myself eat. Still got my muffin to enjoy later :)

Thurs PV:
B - Scrambled eggs, mushroom; L - Tuna, salad; D - Hot and sour soup with tofu in; S - muffin

Fri PP:
B - Scrambled eggs; L- Sardines x 2 tins; D - Mince; S - Muffin/tofu creme

There's an American Dukan website that has loads of recipes - dukanitout.com. Hot and sour soup is new on there, usually I have a look for ideas and then tweak as necessary for my tastes.

Lesson learnt today - do not have large tubs of yoghurt in house whilst stressed. Just added SF jelly to it then ate the lot. Grrrr, annoyed with myself.

Lets be honest CD it could have been a pack of Mars Bar Icecreams!!! LOL! Well done for only eating yoghurt - its allowed Mrs CD so no guilt or worry and unless you ate over a kilo worth then totally within your Dukan limit!! Will look at that site CD sounds good!!! x

PP Day:(
Should have been doing housework this morning, instead I've been flicking through the Ikea and Argos catalogues, drinking copious amounts of tea and listening to Radio 2. Oops.

ooohhh that sounds like a nice morning. I have just finished riding my last horse of the day which was great fun, the sun is shining and I am happy, happy, happy. Hope you continue to enjoy your day!

Staying in all weekend to give my wee patient a rest, she has been so good having to walk to school etc all week...in a lot of pain at night though, when she moves, so we are both exhausted. Three of us have the cold too. Good Dukan news is that I lost all the weight gained on our mad mid-month carb binge and am one pound less finally. Very pleased as seemed to be stuck at 152 for ages (coz of binge at Christmas/Feb:eek:). Weight goes off very slowly now but that is only to be expected. Looking forward to the summer, Mr CD here for good means I can up my exercise :).
For the next wee while I have to really watch my pennies as we are saving for something very important; have spent ages coming up with healthy, cheap meals for kids and my Dukan is going to get rather boring - however it's worth it and I'll just drink plenty of tea/coffee! No tofu/dairy might help with weight loss, you never know!
Sat PV:
B - Scrambled eggs, mushroom, grilled tomato; L- Tuna, vegetable soup; D - Sardines, beansprouts, onion; S - Muffin/Raspberry Jelly/
Sun PP:
B - Scrambled eggs; L - Tuna; D - Chicken; S - Muffin/Jelly
Mon PV:
B - Scrambled eggs, mushrooms; L - Tuna, vegetable soup; D - Chicken Stew; S - Muffin/jelly

Thats alot of eggs!! Not sure I could eat that many!!! WELL DONE on losing the extra weight from fun times and an extra pound - did notice your stats and thought wow what have I missed. Lovely feeling to be able to change them after a wee while!! Hope your little one on the mend, night time waking is exhausting so I hope you recoup a little this weekend. Gonna make the biccy base today for the tofu creme with the pancake syrup I got from the low carb megastore and see how it turns out - I think it will be entire sickly - yahoooooooo - can't wait. Made a batch of muffins this week with exactly the same ingredients but they were really lacking in sweetness - wonder if there is a better sweetner to use for baking - I always switch between brands and this time used Sainsburys own so maybe that is the difference - really felt the need to sweeten them up though! Understand the need to penny pinch - much as I LOVE Dukan it is very expensive - just bought some meat today and £20 was gone before I knew it and that will only last until Monday, thing is can't stand tough meat or stringy so always buy the good cuts. Need to get less fussy!!! Mind you that said I did have the most amazing fillet steak last night just perfect!!!!

I'm the same Trudy, hate tough meat. However, slow-cooking helps cheaper cuts so I'm going to do plenty of that! Your tofu/biccy thing sounds wonderful - have you got a name for it? I've got to bake blueberry muffins with the kids in a bit - I spent all morning getting the kitchen spotless, that's not going to last for long! The place that makes tablet cheesecake has just put on facebook what their most popular item was in February - Butterscotch Pavlova Cheesecake. Wow, makes your mouth water just reading it!!!

No the tablet cheesecake still has my vote!!!! I can leave the pavlova behind!!! Hope the kitchen not too wrecked from the children baking session and you have managed to return some order!!! My little one got 'grumpy Mummy' tonight and when the pyrex jug fell off the fridge and the yoghurt I had just bought went all over the rug he got the fallout from it!!!! Poor Ben - felt quite bad!!!! Mind you he was like a child on e-number over dose - not sure why as his childminder is good about food!!! I did give him 1 chocolate sweet on the way home but surely that can't be it - it was tiny!!!!
Hope your feeling less tired CD and the children are behaving and little one feeling better. How long before it should feel better???? Usually children mend really quickly but its an odd bone! x

A month should fix the shoulder, but it's going to be a hard month for her and me. Both her and her brother have horrendous coughs this morning; think we brought some yucky germs back from A & E earlier in the week. Clearly I'm in for an even tougher week, with three of us full of the cold and one broken collarbone. Roll on July 1st when Mr CD comes home for good; I'm going to my bed for a week .
Staying in today, baking this weeks muffins and doing some art and craft with the kids.
