Caledonian Dukan

Mmmm pizza! Looking forward to tomorrow's PV so I can have some more for lunch - taste is lovely and am going to work on the consistency. The really good thing is that the kids had a try and all liked Dukan pizza so I can do it for them and it's REALLY healthy for them :D. Trying to paint with two enthusiastic helpers - oh boy! Seven year old at her first ever sleepover with a friend (has stayed with family only before), hope she's having a lovely time. Got to get the flipping painting sorted before I have her friend back round here! Rather tired as three year old got up at 5.30am  so going to get them to bed and then do a coat of emulsion whilst listening to the radio.

CD what a hectic life you have....but all your loving kids....sounds great xxx gave a great evening mmmmm pizza.

oh now im craving pizza...and someone posted pics on facebook of homemade pizza which is making me hungry lol

Have to say, I'm pretty impressed with my Dukan cauliflower pizza - the taste really hit the spot :D. Pizza is one of my favourite foods so I have a feeling I'm going to become an expert with this recipe...having more tomorrow .
Well, one coat of emulsion complete and it is clear the room's going to need at least 3 coats (insert a swear word of your choice here!). Thank goodness I didn't buy cheap paint - I'd still be at it in a month!
This is going to sound daft, but at the minute I am really missing proper porridge - I used to have a bowl most mornings with either raisins or strawberries and I've been craving it quite badly recently. I wonder whether it would count as my carbohydrate meal in Conso? Will have to remember to ask one of the Conso experts on here.

i think it can :)

hope your painting isnt like this house... most of the rooms needed 6 coats

The worst redecorating ever was painting dark purple walls white - it was awful, lost count of the number of coats! This one might be nearly as bad - bright pink to white. The joys...

the room in this house that was bright pink and purple has had 4 coats and its still shining through... i just cant get motivated to finish it lol

I now insist that all the children have white walls - boring I might be but they can have mad colours when they are doing the flipping painting/repainting themselves! Changing the accessory colours is much easier than the walls ;)

Well, trying to still stay positive even though I've put on 2lbs . I know I've been following Dukan very well this last week and it's actually the time of my cycle where I don't hold water so I'm annoyed - BUT, it will come off again and even if it doesn't by the summer I'm still a very healthy weight. I really want to start focusing on long-term changes in attitude/food, I know I'm a binger and comfort eat so following a long-term low-carb way of eating is definitely best for me. I can comfort eat on Dukan food even in Conso/Stabilization. The other thing is exercise - whilst I walk at least 5miles each day during the week I miss doing more. I know I'll be able to once Mr CD is here, and the great thing is we have an amazing Victorian private swimming club on our street so I'll be able to swim and gym and sauna to my heart's content. Whilst it is an expense I think it would be worth having family membership there, it is so convenient and I would like to support it keeping open whilst keeping us active. Also, they wash/store your cozzies for you and provide towels so you can just saunter up when you want. I would imagine the savings on washing/drying the number of towels we use swimming would pay for membership ;). Going to start cycling the towpath once he's here too. I can't wait :).

Today I am going to have an extra PP to help keep positive (no pizza then :():
B - Rhubarb & Ginger muffin; L - Ham quiches; D - Mince

Forget about those 2lbs CD - you know more than anyone just how funny the scales can be - you will probably be retaining water for some weird reason that you can't think of!- I am expecting a sts at the very most tomorrow as eaten far too much prepared chicken during the week and sure to pay for it!!!! Like you I am trying to keep these things in perspective - being able to put on that dress was amazing/going to Thomasland with Ben and going on all the rides was awesome/ fitting through the small gap in the door instead or worrying if I will fit at all - those are the things that I try and remember when I am feeling a bit bleurgh!!! My second PP day today and darn it - forgot to get stuff out of the freezer!!!! Just not organised and I don't have five kids to blame!!! Gosh the painting is like the forth bridge - never ending!!! Keep going special lady..... Loving your plans for the summer! x

You're so right Trudy - the little things (I keep thinking I can't fit through tiny gaps between parked cars but I can!!) mean so much and they are what we should focus on. And had to chuckle - when I'm doing the next coat of paint tonight I'll be thinking of the Forth Bridge :D

2lbs is nothing compared with what you have lost, its probably somethng really silly and will come off again next week, the fences on this place are like the forth bridge lol

Hey, glad you have been checked out and all ok (apart from ulcer ) Ur painting sounds fun! I wish I had thought of kids rooms white, my daughters pink gave me a headache. The stress of being apart is one I know, 10mnths was the longest my hubby was away and it was hideous, I only had one kid then, no wonder u are knackered! But u already have shown how strong u are, kids, diets, redecorating wow!

The pool sounds fab, you have so much to look forward to! have a great dukan sunday ;-)

is your pizza base a cauli one ?? how do you make it as all the recipes ive found have grated cheese in the base

Yes, it's cauli and I've used low fat mozzarella before, usually quark though. Haven't managed to sort consistency out yet (apparently doing it in a griddle pan in the oven crisps it and also drying the cauli on kitchen towel), however taste really hits the spot. Also, can put plenty of protein as topping - chicken, ham, pepper & mushroom is good.

will have to try it when i get some cauli, probably be next week now

Have been glossing today and have another coat of emulsion to do once kids are in bed, also need a bath to clean my new piercing, do the school ironing for the week and bake a couple of banana and chocolate chip loaves for my father-in-law. Going to be a late night I think.
Today has been good Dukan-wise, I'm finding that if I don't have yoghurt in I don't really miss it but if I do have it in I want loads so am trying to do without any this week. Dull but bearable.

CD I wish I had your energy xxx get that piercing sorted and get your feet up gave a nice evening xxx

Ah cd sunday night school uniform ironing, I am putting it off,I have loads of ironing but am only ironing school and work stuff tonight. Have you got much painting left to do?Where is ur new piercing if u dont mind me asking? Ive only had various holes in top and bottom of ears, nose and belly button but I always wanted lip pierced, too old now. ;-)
