Cambridge diet - 10 stone to lose

It happens... Don't sabotage it now. Stay on track. IT WILL COME OFF. PROMISE!!! Stick with it. Don't give up honey :) don't start making bad choices cos you feel bad. A bad choice will make you feel ten times worse. Stick with it. You'll have a good loss next week :) x
 
Thanks guys, I weigh the same on my scales as my consultants. I just feel like if I am depriving myself of food then I at least want to get good results on the scales! I just feel like my consultant is going to say that you must have eaten something otherwise you would have lost weight, and I genuinely haven't!! I don't understand either because obviously I am on so few calories so how can it not work?

It will work, just stick with it! The consultant should work with you and not make you feel worse, that is counter productive. One of the reasons we're all paying a fortune for this diet is to have that individual attention and support. Both me and OH have had the experience of having a low loss one week where we'd stuck to it and lost more the following week. Don't let it dishearten you.

I've realised it's better for me if I don't get on the scales at home. I was starting to do what I'd done on previous diets, if the scales showed a good loss it meant I could have a "treat"....especially if it was several days until weigh in, :eek: and if it wasn't so good I'd be depressed (even if it was because I'd been cheating) and want an edible cheer up. I'm hoping to ditch my old habits along with the weight.
 
Hi, thank you guys. I have stuck with it and intend to, just hope there will be a big loss next week instead and that my consultant can shed some light on to it.

I didn't have scales at home initaially because I know I get obsessed with them and jump on them so many times in a day. The thing was I would get to Monday/Tuesday and flag a bit because I couldn't see where I was and I would start panicking that maybe I hadn't lost any weight. Then my consultant went away for a week so I had to get scales to weigh myself, slowly the obsession crept in again. I can relate to being on other diets and using food to comfort/punish or to treat myself. It is one of the strangest things in my head, getting weighed and not eating whatever I want after! Still I guess it is a good thing to change that! I will have been doing this 4 weeks on Thursday!!! Still totm for me, that has been 3 weeks now, had more than enough of it!!! I get measured this Thursday as well, she measures once a month so will be interesting to see if I have lost any inches!! I am feeling very frustrated though :mad:

reason why your remembering your dreams is because when im on vlcd I remember mine , there so real , but we've always been dreaming but I find these VLCD you seem to be more awake that's why we remember ... with your weight its maybe your showing inch loss but as long as you stuck too it you will be fine , you see . so workshop how did that go ?
Did read your last post to me but timed out and said i'll do that later , but did read it , we are listening , your such a spur on to people on here because your doing it 100%
I'm fed up with not being 100% is it more painful p balling about rather than going 100% Arrrr lol
so mind , how is it set today ?

The workshop was really great, I only found out about it on Saturday and I am so glad that I went!

I think it is less painful to be 100%, Yes it is hard, but I don't think I could cope bouncing in and out of ketosis, it was painful enough one time around. Also, you are just making your goals harder to achieve. As you know I have gone out with other people to pubs/clubs, mcdonalds, kfc, and cooked a couple of times for friends, had a friends house full of party food and I have managed to stay on plan. I was tempted the other day to buy the latest Mcdonalds burger and freeze it until I can eat it! Lol, I know that sounds crazy, but it looks and smells so good and it is only on like once a year! I didn't do that!

Last night, went to a pub with a friend, again no coke zero being served so I was on the mineral water, my friend had chips in front of me, and walkers cheese and onion crisps. I did have to stick my nose near them and breathe in the smell really deeply, other people were looking at me like i was completely crazy! Later on, after we left the pub he got salad in pitta from a kebab shop (he is vegetarian), even that smelt amazing, don't know what sauce or what was on it to make it smell so great, the mad thing is I don't even like salad! I do think it is a bit mean of people to eat Mcdonalds and KFC in front of me when they know I am not eating, but feel like it is too rude to tell them not to do it. Somehow, I think it does get easier to have people eat in front of me, in the main, unless I am having a bad day!

Sick of the comments from people saying things like "Oh, you will never do it", "It's dangerous to not eat", "You are just heavy boned, so you can never lose that much weight", "You should only lose a couple of stone or you will look really ill", "You will only put all the weight back on as soon as you start eating again". If i get these comments after only nearly 4 weeks, imagine when I am near a healthy weight. Why do people want to drag you down, instead of being happy for you?

Mind set today; Good! Not hungry, lovely weather :)

Hope you get back on track soon, remember, you want a good lot off before the new school year in September!!!

I agree that sometimes it can be a lot easier to go 100%. You know you are eating NOTHING AT ALL, so there is no chance of miscalculating, giving in to the wrong foods, or forgetting what you've alredy eaten. It's easier to understand and makes focusing a lot more straightforward.


People saying things like you've mentioned probably do not have your best interests in mind. They may think they do, but they are either ignorant of what you're doing or jealous in some way.
Whatever the reason, it's an attempt to sabotage your progress which you shouldn't allow (or at least listen to!). Educating the misguided ones will help, but others just want you to remain as you are so they can feel better about themselves. It's human nature :D

I believe it is mainly jealousy, I saw my sister go through it when she did Cambridge. I think people are now realising I am actually seriously going to do this, it just disgusts me!!!

I think it is definitely easier to be 100% to stay focused. I think I would get too disheartened if I wasn't 100%. I just keep telling myself that food will still be there after I have reached my goals, for me it doesn't seem worth it to have a 5 minute enjoyment out of food, compared to hours, days, weeks even of then beating myself up and feeling disgusted with myself.

I am even worried about the 12 week one meal a day on top of the products for a week. I am worried that then I will not be able to get back into it, I am so tempted to just say I have done it and not do it, but then it probably gives your weight loss another boost when you go back to just having products. If I do do it, then I want to stick completely to what I should have because I still wouldn't want to take myself out of ketosis! I like not being hungry!!! Lol!
 
Loved your comment about the mcDonalds burger! Well done Hun :) you deserve a medal for sitting through all the foodfest with your friend. I'd be licking his food!!!

As for other people... Just ignore them. Do what feels right for you. Everyone is different. Definately do the one week meal thing because your body will need to be rejigged!

Hi Char , just qick one as off out , on trimethoprim for a week so have to up my plan , was looking at exante as they have an offer on , it was on their Fabebook page , so loooking into that .
god all these ppl eating near you , its fast food too that drive us off our heads .... Hey ppl have always been the same to much to say , well its not good to stay as i'm am say and i'm doing so well and smile ....

made me laugh that bit where you smelt the food , i've done that before too , its the closest we are gonna get to it lol . so think i'll be 1000 plan for me ... for a week .
Dreaming of food , god you really are having a time of it char , but you know your holding in there thats the thing .... i hope to be joining the rat race soon of being 100% nothing else will do !!!!! your so right char , got to think of that , sept starting back and going around secondry school oct i think . right have a great day , !!! tune in soon !
 
Hi ms, sorry you have to come off plan/go up to 1000. For that reason I am avoiding the doctor like the plague, don't want anything to get in the way of this!!! 4 WEEKS TODAY!!! How about that? :)

Hope you are enjoying the sunny weather, for the first time since I can't remember when I actually felt like walking to the shop, so I did!! I think the last time I did that I was huffing and puffing on the way but today there was none of that!! :) get weighed measured and pics taken tonight, measurements and pics once a month, wear the same clothes every week so no discrepancies in weight due to clothing! I saw an exante deal too 65% off a box of 50 shakes but I am pretty sure it works out cheaper to buy the bumper pack. Shame they aren't doing 65% off them lol!!!

Hope you find your 'stickability' to the 100 plan this week. Will update later with weight and inches lost! Hate waiting to leave to see my consultant, I am ready a couple of hours before willing time to go by, lol!!! X
 
Lol! I do think about licking food sometimes. And even sometimes I want to buy a cheeseburger and just squish it all with my fingers like play dough....not eating makes you mad lol!!!
 
So I lost 3lbs this week in the end! :) this week it was measurements and pics as well.

Measurements: 6 inches off waist, 3/4 of an inch lost on hips, 1 and a half inches off bust!!

Not sure if that is good for the weight loss I have had or not!!!

Yep six inches off waist with 1 stone 6 loss in 4 weeks! Thank you!! I did feel like my waist was looking smaller.

My consultant said I am a real inspiration to others for sticking to it 100%, especially when she was away last week.
