Nothing like an ole Irish stew in the Winter. I love Winter, I love wrapping up warm and buying people presents and wearing gloves and scarves, drinking hot choccie and yummy warm food etc. My FAV time of the year :D

Love it too! But I hate working because its dark when I drive to work and dark when I drive home. Otherwise I love it, love that christmassy feeling too :D x
 
Thought I was the only one who loves Winter. I love sitting in with curtains pulled, fire on watching Emerdale and relaxing. I love the snowy walks and wearing big coats, hats and scarves! La la love Christmas too, my favourite time of the year!

And I love shepards pie and stew. Yum!

I LOVE all that!! And we used to have a gas fire at home which wasnt as "real" but now we've got one of those wood burning stoves in so it'll be lovely at Christmas! I loved all the snow last year (I couldnt get to work and had to work from home hee hee :p ) LOVE my big coat and warm booties and I have a hat with ear flaps (teehee). I just love it all :D x
 
Feckin hell, I cant WAIT till its around Christmas now. :D
 
Its funny u talk about the winter nights - recently ive been gettin that feelin u get wen its close to xmas ..... and now i feel better that im not the only weird one :p .. maybe its coz nights are gettin darker earlier .... :rolleyes:
 
Roll on gettin nearer to Xmas means it's near November, means my cruise! Yay then a wedding! Exciting!

Seems I'm the ONLY one round here that hates Christmas and hates winter even more.. BUT.. I do live in a house that hasn't been renovated since it was built in the early 1900's so has no central heating, no double glazing and not very insulatiion!! We do have an open fire but it only heats the sitting room and as me and my Dad are at work all day the fire doesn't be on so the house is just always freezing!!

My hubby hates Xmas! So I kinda not keen cos he doesn't like it, he gets grumpy at Xmas! Lol x
 
As a kid I loved it.. Obviously.. But I grew out of it.. :D
And my BF isn't too fussed on it either so its grand.. I dont have to put on fake smiles and pretend I love it..
We don't have a very close knit family n someone's always fighting with someone so its just hassle TBH.. And there's no kiddies in my house just me and my Dad so...
Maybe when I've kiddies of my own I'll love it.. I love to go to my brothers Christmas morning before his kids get up so i see their faces and share their excitement.. But then I go home, back to bed for a few hours n am over it.. I'm not ba-humbug about it tho...

Yeah if ur bf not mad about it, it's like our house! Lol x Xmas always appears a bit false cos u may have to c family u never c rest of the yr n b all nicey nice n that's Wots gets me! but I might b a bit miserable x

LOL, I dont see ANY family I dont wanna see. I hang out with my sisters and brother and parents and its lovely - we get on really well most of the time so its good craic! :) x

Mine are a bit all or nothing except from one sister who is my best mate x I have three older sisters, closest n my buddy is 45 n no age gap really, others are 50 & 59 so I got three mums Inc my mum lol x
 
My family are a disaster.. i'm the only one who talks to them all.. The rest are all fighting with one person or another.. We used to all make the effort when my Mam was alive especially at Christmas but now she's gone no-one bothers.. I have 3 brothers 2 of which I get on well with.. 1 (the oldest) I tolerate.. My sister is a horrible person but I wont get into that but no-one in my family talk to her.. And my Dad has a new GF so he goes off early Christmas morning to spend it with her. One of my brothers lives in Wicklow and we're in Dublin so he spends it at home with his wife. One of my brothers lives a few doors from me so I go to his Christmas morning early, have brekkie there and then go home.. And my eldest brother lives quite near town but he spends his Christmas at home with his wife n son..
Its defo tru what they say.. A mother is the glue to any family.. Once she's gone the family falls apart... Sad.. But very tru
 
My sisters are great. One is only 2 years older than me and we used to fight all the time but are very close now that we're older. And my other sister is 31. So not much age gap between us. I have a little brother who's nearly 16 too so he's the "baby" and gets spoiled rotten lol. We fight obviously... all families do sometimes but generally we get on well enough. Christmas is a lovely time, I love buying gifts for people! :) x
