Cheekychinchilla's food and stuff

Feel rather ashamed at the comfort/stress eating I did last night. All low cal stuff, but way too many of them!
Having a low syns day today coz I'm going round to Michelle's tomorrow for dinner and some Halloween'y treats while we watch scary films :) So need to make up for it a bit today. Hoping for 5syns or under :)

Earlier today I sent my friend a message to say that I wasn't sure if she got my last message, but that I was disappointed and upset that our plans kept getting cancelled and I missed them. I got a reply back straight away saying she hadn't got it, she'd been really busy, and had been thinking of asking Michelle and me around for tea next Fri.
I'm kinda sceptical that she didn't get the original text and either way she's kinda disregarded what I said anyway. I think I'm just going to have to let it drop and see what happens. I think, as my sister put it, they're just a bit "empty headed" at times and don't see stuff going on. Still hurt at them pretty much ignoring my begging to see them the other week and not addressing the issue I brought up. But :sigh: I don't want an argument and whichever text she got I did say how I was feeling.

Another drama today - my Nexus won't turn on  I was using it last night and charged it for a couple of hours too. Following Google's instructions and some online help to try and get it going.
It's like the screen's coming on, but it's distorted and not getting to the google/loading screen. Argh!!! It's still in warranty, but that's beside the point, it's MY Nexus lol.xx

Sorry that your friend situation isvupsetting you :( I recon she did grt thenfirst text but was embarassed and didnt know how to respond to it, brushig it off until she had to reply when you messaged again. It might be that she doesnt want to cause conflict so.is skirting around the issue, but it sounds like the issue itsself is just because they are 'in the moment' people who dont really do plans well, thus rescheduling just ends up being with whoever is with them in the first place kinda thing.
It really REALLY sucks to be left out even if unintentionally. I have a friend who bails on me all the time and only decided to go with our plans if she feels like it- always seeing them as only half plans or something. She upsets me.all the time and is SO emotionally sapping (I play therapist for her all the time and it's like she'll only spend time with me if she needs the therapy) I dont even like her much anymore :/ but sadly I realise that my friendships arent that close.these days, I dont know many people who live near by and are around to hang out or go to the cinema... Most of my friends live the other side of London so don't want to trek over, and arent close enough to bother :(
NEED NEW FRIENDS, GAH! :p

I think they are just a bit rubbish. And they're very self contained as a couple. I actually talk to Tim more than Caz and hardly ever know what's going on with her. She's not a very 'open' person and doesn't talk much about stuff. Whereas I tell everyone everything and anything :p I would love if we were closer, but I think this is as good as it gets.
I feel bad making them sound bad because they're not and they have done some truly epic things for me and have been really supportive through this year. It's just been the last maybe 2 months I've felt us drifting. And they've not wanted to know since I split up with John. I still haven't had a chance to speak to them about it
I'm going to sound like a crazy paranoid person here, but this has gotten worse since Tim's brother (my big ex) split up with his girlfriend. I wont go in to detail on stuff, but this is very very odd. Almost feel like they're trying to keep us away from each other - which is bloody stupid! It's also odd because for years I've had to defend him with them, because they openly dislike him. Now they're cancelling on me to see him! I'm sure that's just coincidence as well, but he's the one they seem to end up with when they've cancelled or rearranged our plans. It's so bloody strange!!
I can deal with them being a bit flaky coz I have done for years. But it's getting pretty bad now! It's not every so often, it's every time they've made plans with me in the last month.
I think I will have to just let it go and see how things go with us. Maybe just get on with it and rant to my other friends when they piss me off.

I think it may be a bit of a case of avoiding a bad situation. But again, I don't know, coz they don't bloody talk to me!

I don't want to ruin my friend group at all because I do see them as family. So will just have to get on with it I suppose :) xx

If she's not an open person it could be a case of she doesn't know how to handle emotional situations and finds it easier to avoid them. Maybe she thinks you're going to get all emotional and it would scare her.
I think most of us are guilty of comfort eating epecially if we're stressed out, I know I am. I got up to nearly a size 30 doing that afterhaving my 2nd child, it took 3 years of anti-dreppressants and counciling to sort it out.
Your tea sounds lovely and comforting proper winter food :) x x x

You could be right Tace. But even so, if a friend really needs you? Besides, Caz knows me enough to know I don't get over emotional. I very rarely cry at real life things and don't tend to get that upset in person. It's super rare for me to cry anyway, and even more so in front of someone. I hate people seeing me cry or get emotional. I'm pretty free when it comes to talking about stuff, but the emotional side I kinda keep locked away. Healthy, I know
But, what I mean is, we know each other well enough and have been friends long enough to know this stuff.
I can't explain what's been happening, but whatever it is it sucks and I just feel like they've had enough of me and just don't want to know :( Can't blame them to be fare, but they're my friends!!

I have to say I don't often comfort eat. I did at the start of the year when I had a really bad few weeks - the car was taken off me for over a week with no explanation and at that time my Mum was at the hospital for 5 days straight coz her Dad was dying. I ate a LOT then!
And have eaten a lot with being ill, but that's more a case of horrible symptoms than comfort eating - most of the time.
So it's really stressing me out for me to comfort eat like this! :( When I'm really really upset I don't eat at all, but that's a different upset. If you know what I mean? Probably not lol!

I made the SW carbonara from the link you gave me. I have to say, I'm pretty impressed with Quark and it wasn't horrible at all :D I won't be avoiding recipes with it in now :p
We did have very naughty food tho lol! Garlic bread and halloween'y treats  Totally worth it ;) I got Quorn chorizo to go in my carbonara and brought half a pack back with me. Going to make a 'chicken & chorizo' pasta bake thing. I think the syns are around the same as the Quorn pepperoni, so half a pack should only be 3 syns :D Excited!!!

Back to SW properly tomorrow and will try much harder to not p*ss about with junk food. It was Halloween's fault, honest.....

See y'all tomorrow.xx

Your saturday food sounded fab! On plan, low syn goodness! That forgives you for a halloween splurge, it is easily done when all these 'low cal' treats are in front of you, to just to pop one in, and then another...
Weird that your friends havent spoken since you broke up with John... Does sound like they are trying to avoid you getting back with your other ex :S weird!
*motivational hug for another on plan day ;)*
LOVE YA x

Oh guys I ate some sweets when I was in bed last night. That hasn't happened for ages! Just felt so low and really wanted something. Feel so awful :( I did only have one proper meal yesterday (which was SW free) just a small bowl of Honey Loops, then sweeties and garlic bread naughtiness.
Really hope its out of my system now. I have to get tough on myself!!! I spotted some old scaled in my friends bathroom so weighed myself (after hefty meals btw!) and just at 12st. Made me really sad, but not as bad as I thought it would be. So going to weigh myself whenever I go to hers and keep an eye on it and hopefully get it moving down a bit. Don't know how likely weight loss is at the moment with crazy mystery illness, but maybe I can at least try and hope for a maintain?
Anyway, new day. Had my lunch plans ruined by mouldy bread lol

I think them keeping me away from my ex is a fairly unlikely scenario. And, tbf, we talk online anyway, I text him about tech stuff, and he only lives 5mins drive away. If we were going to get back together or see each other I really doubt anyone could stop it. It was just a crazy idea that popped in to my head and I'm sure it's just coincidence with what's been going on.
The whole situation is still just really odd. They went to see the film we were supposed to see together (got the 'date' changed twice) last night. I just don't know

Anyway, I WILL be on plan today :) xx

So glad you liked the carbonara, quark is a bit like marmite you either like it or you don't lol.
The sweetie incident was probably because you'd not eaten enough during the day. I find if I don't eat enough I crave sugary stuff, I think it's your body demanding engery.
Considering all the cr@p you've been through 12st isn't bad at all, just shows that sticking to it most of the time has kept it down. Can you imagine how much more it would have been if you'd just eaten what you wanted without watching it??
Mouldy bread!! That annoys me greatly, hope you've got some fresh :) x x x

I hadn't eaten enough 'food' but definitely enough junk  But yeah, not enough real food! Ah well, it's done now!

Yeah I don't even want to think about where I'd be weight-wise if I wasn't still attempting SW! Haven't quite put on a stone, which is good, and determined not to!!

Nope, no bread! And I didn't go to the shops. So still no bread. My Sister's invited me out tomorrow and we'll probably do lunch. Will stop at a shop on the way back for a few foody bits if she'll let me ;)

I was really impressed with the Quark. Got it from Tesco and it's made by the Lake District brand - I like their cheese too. They also had lemon flavoured Quark - handy for savoury stuff possibly?
Think I'm going to have a sort of carbonara for tea tonight coz I don't want the Quark to go to waste. Plus I haven't got much food lol .x

I always throw most of the quark away (like philli light!) but recently used it on some chilli mince beef and had chopped tomatoes (like salsa) and it was kinda like burrito innards as quark is like sour cream :D yum. Also have used it to make soups a bit creamier, though can give a bit of a yoghurty taste if too much. Have heard of people adding splenda and having it with strawberries etc too.

I agree with Tace- your blood sugar level was probably aching for a boost from not eating enough in the day, hense gravitating towards sweets!
X

I love that you two are trying to be nice and justify my eating. I think you're partly right but I also think I was just really low and comfort eating
But I have proved in the last few weeks that I do still have some will power, so will just put it behind me and try again.

I think when I next buy Quark I will have to plan meals around it. I like the idea of using it as sour cream and I think it tastes like that anyway :p So maybe chilli, carbonara, and maybe a creamy tomato pasta or something. Nice to have something new to play with! :)

Very low syn day today and lots of proper food. Will hopefully make up a little bit for yesterday's stupid eating!

Rachelle's asked did we want to get food in for tomorrow night. I was thinking "God no! I can't cope with another 'nice food' night in" Lol! Just said I already had my tea planned - "chicken and chorizo" tomato pasta thing. That's totally it's name! But I'm happy to stay in, watch a film, and play with some sparklers ;)

Sparklers- woo!!

Funny that just before you posted all this about quark I had a really satisfying 'sour cream' experience with it and have wanted to use it more too! I bought quark at my first SW food shop as at the group I went to (one time lol) they all were talking about how great it was. I didnt have a fantastic experience with it then though so didnt buy it again until randomly recently! So funny that we are both randomly into it the same week LOL. I did make a half nice dip for carrots wih it once by adding some chives and garlic or something- wonder if it would get thicker if whizzed with an electric whisk or blender? Would be worth giving the dip thing another go methinks as I LOVE dippig carrots... Maybe if whizzed with mixed chilli beans or roasted veg or something? Hmm. Might be awful :p

Good that you can see that it was comfort eating and move past it :) time to get your head into gear and ban those naughty extras! WELL DONE for aaying no to take away :O I am genuinely almost as in awe avout this as your not eating anything at the cinema thing LOL amazing...

Well, Mum and Rachelle are getting hot dogs for tonight. Hot dogs, buns, fried onions, fries *cries* Lol!
I will be having extra cheesy 'chicken and chorizo' pasta so there :p I bloody love hot dogs tho!!

I just assumed Quark was gross! But to me it tastes like a slightly yogurty/sour cream/cheese thing. Might stir some in to my pasta or the sauce tonight to make it creamy.
But I definitely wont be avoiding recipes with it in now :)

Tesco had a lemon flavoured Quark - could be good for sweet stuff or making desserts? Could imagine it being useful for something like a cheesecake?

Aye I was feeling really down and just continued to stuff my face. Just feel so sh*t about this friend situation and starting to really panic about money and going back to work.
Had a bizarre dream about going back to work last night. I went in for a few hours and my friend Michelle was working with me. There were LOADS of people working there, inc my old boss who gave me a big hug :D Me and Michelle wondered off to watch a film at the cinema and my boss came in at the end (yeah we have a cinema at work....) and wasn't annoyed and gave me some birthday cards and stuff. It was so weird!!

Just waiting for Sister dearest to pick me up to go to town. Taking my deaded Nexus back to John Lewis so they can hopefully exchange it for me. Feel sad that I couldn't get it working. It's my Nexus!
Got an offer on Gr**pon for The Body Shop the other night so I could stock up on some bits I'm running out of and maybe some Xmas presents. There's loads of restrictions on it - including Xmas gifts  The offer was £15 for a £30 and a free Love Your Body card. Still really good value but I hate when places have stupid restrictions. Will get some hair and skin care stuff I reckon. Maybe a nice shower gel :)

I had a good day today :) Slept awfully and woke up in a bad mood lol. Had a weird dream about going back to work too.

I took my Nexus to John lewis and they've sent it off for repair. They said they'd only replace it straight away within 28 days, even though it has a 2 year warranty! I spoke to my ex and he's bought his Nexus phone and tablet direct from Google and he said their customer service is excellent. They send out replacements for things straight away and send you the stuff to send the faulty things back. No f*cking about! She said it could take up to a month :(
Oh well i suppose if they can fix it I'll get MY Nexus back with, hopefully, my stuffs on it. Do hope they don't try and fob me off though if it needs replacing.

Got the stuff from the Body Shop I wanted. Got my face moisturiser and some shampoo and conditioner - useful things ;) Then got a bottle each of the Gingerbread and Cranberry shower gels.

We stopped at Starbucks and I caved in and got one of the Christmas drinks. Orange Mocha with soy milk (they don't charge for it any more, YAY!!) Was nice actually! Can't decide if it's better than the Costa one though lol. We were kinda good though because we almost got a chocolate swirl to share but decided against it coz Rachelle's Mr treated us all to Costco red velvet cupcakes so we knew we had them to look forward to :)

Got some cute fox fingerless gloves, with little hats to make them mittens, for when I'm cold in the house. And some cheap plain gloves to wear when I'm out in the garage with the bunnies. My Raynaud's is really bad already!! My fingers are constantly sore and my toes are getting really ouchy. 2 toes on my right foot are already red and quite swollen. Stupid, weird illness!! But yeah, cute indoor gloves LOL!

We found this shop that gives away free books  Can't remember the name, but she stamped the book so will have a look-see. Got a Richard Adams one called Shardick that I've not read. No doubt it will destroy me like The Plague Dogs and Watership Down. Something to look forward to :p
And Rachelle picked me up a copy of Z For Zacharia in Oxfam too. Hardback for 2 quid!

We had lunch at The Egg and I got the garlic'y cheese on toast with all the salads - pasta, couscous, lettuce, cucumber, chickpeas, and peppers. A few squeezes of light salad cream. No dessert again ;) Lol!

We stopped at Asda before we came home and I bought a few bits. Didn't get anything naughty ;) Well, a bag of Funsize Maltesers, but they're for my stash of low syn treats.

Wasn't really that hungry but needed to make the chicken and chorizo thing so threw it all in the pan and made a small portion of moose pasta to go with it.
It was really nice!! Had chunky chopped red onions, peppers, mushrooms, carton of tomatoes, some fresh garlic, and spinach mixed in.
I made enough for 3 decent portions and the chorizo should be 3 syns. So 1 syns each is pretty good :D

I did have my cupcake and it was mahoosive and awesome!! :D Thank you Rachelle's John ;) But not too bad otherwise I suppose. Could have been much worse anyway lol.
Anyway, I'm exhausted and I feel a bit run down. I feel all achey and my throat and ears are sore. Hoping I'm tired and not caught a bug or something.
See y'all tomorry.xx

I have fingerless fox glove/mittens too! Primarni?? I had their stripy panda ones last year and wore them to DEATH so this yeat bought 3 pairs of different animal ones and swap them about so I have odd ones on :D penguin and fox/panda and penguin etc. Find them SO CUTE, AND great for when typing on laptop (though would be useful to have fingerless thumbs too for trackpad and touch screen phone)

Body shop stuff sounds niiice! Their amazing smelling shower gels make me so hungry LOL. Gingerbread sounds fab!

I had my kobo ebook reader replaced and it was a HUGE faff. I had to post it to them in the NETHERLANDS (cost like £8! But I protested and they gave me a credit for that at least...) and then it took months but eventually they sent me a brand new and newer version one. So if it isnt YOUR nexus, it might be an updated cousin with cool new functions... ;)

We launched all the christmas drinks in starbucks at work yesterday, so tempting lol. The chocolate swirls are really nice so I stay away form there at nighty.
The gloves sound really fun :D
Loved Z for Zacharia and Watership down. Not read any of Richard Adams other books, will have to have a look out for them.
I hope they manage to sort your Nexus out quickly for you.
It sounds like your food has been good since the slight hiccup, hope you've had a good day today x x

Hey guys!
I've been in a terrible mood today and have felt really sick. Like sick-sick lol!
Got a letter from head office saying they can't legally pay me sick pay after the 18th of Dec and have sent me the forms to claim whatever it is from the job centre. I know it's just a legal thing, but every time something happens I feel like it's another step closer to losing my job :( I know that's not completely logical, but yeah, put me in a terrible mood!
I did go cuddle Ralphy and get covered in fur :) I hope he stops moulting so badly soon! He'll be bald if he carries on! He seems happy enough though and is bouncing round doing his happy bunny dance!

I'm ashamed to admit that the gloves are indeed from Primani. I'm such a f*cking clothes snob  and hate even the idea of Primark. But yes, they're from there and they're really cute!! Had them on before and will do again in a bit while I watch The Killing.
Me & my Sis went halfsies and got Mum a pair of the Christmas Pudding ones so she can wear them at work :D

Been talking to the ex and he said Google/Nexus customer service is fantastic IF you go direct. But mine was from John Lewis. So will just have to wait and see. I can't remember if there's been a new Nexus since mine was released. Got it in January and been going *fingers in ears* "lalalalalalala" whenever there's Nexus news lol. So maybe I will get a shiny new one. I hate setting up new tech though and I'm really lazy :p
My Sister bought the book I was reading on my Nexus for her friend for Christmas, so she's leant me it so I can carry on reading. Which is pretty damn nice ;)

Tace I can completely recommend The Plague Dogs, but it will break your heart! It's about two dogs, Rowf and Snitter, who escape from an animal testing lab in the Lake District. The lab's called ARSE (Animal Research Scientific & Experimental) ;) It's a beautiful story and incredibly well written. But it will destroy you!
There's a film too, like Watership Down, and holy crap I've only been able to watch it once
I've not read Z For Zacharia, but have had it recommended by everyone because I loved Brother in the Land.

Food's been totally on plan today, even with a trip to the cinema! I've wiped out my saved syns from earlier in the week coz of the GIANT cupcake. Totally worth it tho, honestly, they're incredible!!
But back to normal today. Have been invited for tea at my fake brother & sister's tomorrow with the wife. Family get together ;) Saw them tonight actually today, minus the wife coz she was in A&E with her pesky intestines! Hoping this is the start of things getting better again and putting the crappy stuff behind us :)
No idea what we're having for tea yet. Doesn't really matter coz I'll have saved syns and I'll have a low syn lunch tomorry too :)

Saw Thor 2 again tonight and cried even more this time! Chris Hemsworth is just beautiful!! He stopped me breathing more than once ;) My ultimate man I reckon!!! Our dog sled guide looked a bit like him and I often have dreams about him :flirt2: My taste in guys is all over the place though and it totally goes on personality too! Like I love Chris Hemsworth, David Tennant, Simon Neil (Biffy), Ryan Gosling, Michael Fassbender, Chris O'Dowd, and probably many more I can't think of right now. The one thing they do have in common is that they can all totally rock facial hair ;) But yeah, quite different looking guys really. Anyway, enough about boys...
I'm going to make a hot drink and watch an ep of The Killing. Night all.xx
