hi cheeky, the interview sounds like it went really well, as claire says try and stay positive - make sure you've got a busy weekend so that you don't mope around the house and get tempted to cheat. I miss peanut butter, i find having the SW satay chicken that keeps my pb craving at bay, well done on sts, donna x

Thanks everyone :D I'll let you all uncross your fingers until Monday morning ;)
Ah don't worry, I just needed a rant about yet another sts. Just seems like my weightloss has totally slowed down lately even though I've been sticking to plan 100% (ahem, except in London) But still keeping at it!

I'm going out with my friend tomorrow to the pics, so that will take my mind off the job thing a bit. But she's my friend from the vets, so yeah.... lol
I'm trying not to worry about it too much and not let myself get too hopeful. But it really would mean SO much for me to get this job! Not just because it's a job and a HUGE step forward for me, but it is also in a training practice. They're so hard to get in to and it means I could have a very good chance of being offered a trainee nurse position at some point in the future and my whole career that I've thought about since I was about 15 will take off. Putting too much pressure on myself?! Noooo

Anyway, time to shout at mario for a bit before bed :D

Off to the pics with my friend in a bit. Odeon sent me a 2 for 1 voucher coz I'm a member of their club and it's only for the film we've wanted to see for ages :D
Think I really want some Minstrels :p

Tea: Chicken burrito from Barburrito (gonna say 10 syns for tortilla wrap) SW chips and 2tbsp of extra light mayo (1)

Drinks: 100ml fresh orange juice (2) Coffee. Diet Coke.

Syns used: 25.5
Syns left: 9.5

Exercise: Around an hour of walking.

Have a little bit of news :) The other practice has been in touch with my boss/vet over a reference. Bit of a difficult situation as he refuses to speak to the vet (ex business partner) so it all has to go through the practice manager. But he said he told them how nice I am :p He said from what they told him that the job is more reception than auxiliary, which is annoying, but it's a start and I will pester them to death to give me more auxiliary stuff ;)
Hopefully that's a good sign? He didn't say when they called, but it must have been this morning before I got there or Monday coz he was on holiday the 2nd half of last week!
Really nervous about the crappy situation, but Alan will always be my vet no matter where I work. And you know, it's a job, and its in a training practice. I'd be mental not to take it!! Well, I'm mental anyway, but you know what I mean

That does sound really positive but strange that they do that before speaking to you more first though.....some employers have strange ways of working lol
Your attitude is fab though, its a foot in the door even if not the job you were hoping for, once they see how you work and commitment it'll open so many other doors I'm sure.
xx

I'll just pester them to death about doing the auxiliary, hands on stuff. I want to eventually train as a vet nurse-in a year or two-so I obviously want to do the hands on stuff more.
But the reception experience will be great too, coz I've not done anything like that. When I look after the phones at my vets for 5mins while someone goes the loo I spend the whole time asking the phone not to ring :p
Just awkward with it being my old practice and my vets old business and me working for his old partner. Gah! lol

Your new pic is gorgeous btw!!! :D

LOL! You have your eyes crossed for me too?! Bloody hell :p

I'm having a bit of a wibble right now and the friend I'm texting doesn't quite understand coz she's never been in my position.
But basically....what if I get it and can't cope? What if it's the practice from hell? What if I totally suck at working on reception?! I don't even like talking on the phone

Yup, being silly, I know! I already know I can cope within a vet environment (albeit 8-10hrs a week). The practice has won award from the royal college! And erm, yeah, I dunno about reception...
