Cheryls Dukan diary

Im lucky i dont miss fruit at all. Give me veg over fruit any day in fact onions are King :D

Isn't that funny how we miss fruit when we have cut it out but, as I constantly remind myself, I certainly put [cream cakes, bread and LOTS of other things besides] in front of fruit when "off diet"!!

Yes I think a more balanced food intake is necessary to hope to ever stabilise a loss after a vlcd and/or low carb diet. I like the way of eating with Dukan, as I love eating chicken, steak, prawns and salmon without restriction, but it's not "real life"...

and once the "strawberry" call becomes too strong, I'll be there! (Fortunately, over here, the strawberries aren't as good as back home - except the gariguette ones which cost a fortune!!)

I love berries & am lucky that we can have them on Atkins.. I also sneak in a peach every now & again!

And you wonder about yr breath.... :D

Lol its funny the girls at work know i have been having salad as the whoel corridor stinks.

We can have rhubarb on PV... (yuck!!)...

As for your corridor smelling, these sort of diets do have other side effects, hee heee! Consider yourself lucky if it's just your breath smelling bad!

Lol Ive noticed that to lmao! But never had it on atkins!!
and yes rhubarb yuckity yuck yuck yuck

I think it's the excess of protein, and no veg/salad, which does it... and with my 4PP / 3PL rhythm, it's amplified! (My poor other half!!)

Hello girls. And how are we all today????
A bit of bad news i had a gain after my huge curry blow out last night but the good news is its only 1lb so i went off to the gym this morning for an hour an a half. My goodness it nearly killed me! Im paying for it now though. Lol Oh well. Breakfast was very naughty, half a slice of toast and lunch was some tuna. dinner tonight i think will be a 2egg omlette with mushrooms onions and very lean ham (im sooooo fussy over what sort of ham i eat). Mmmmmm. I dont know what changed my mind over my menu today but hey ho, its still all good. I really need to drink more though as not had enough so far today.

Breakfast was very naughty, half a slice of toast

Someone in the "real world" would laugh at that comment! Half a slice of toast? Naughty?!!

Nah!! (but was it brown bread?!!).

Good plan to compensate in the gym... another of those "life lessons" we need to take onboard. We CAN eat treats, WITHOUT GUILT, but we pay either before or after with some extra exercise...

Perfect!

How are we? Gassy I think was the comment which preceded your entry!! :8855:

Lmao :) Not so gassy atm !

Lol. I dont get gassy after a curry! Not brown bread as we only buy bread for Oliver and he will only eat the crusts on white bread so i buy 50/50. Dont know if youve heard of it? Yes im a good girl for going to the gym BUT i am soooooooooo going to pay for it tomorrow. I can feel it already. Got to sit in on some interviews tomorrow at work. Its all meant to be in preperation for me applying for promotion. Cant see how its going to work seeing some of the students ive trained squirm under pressure!!!!
I finished my course and now have 4 essays to write and 250hrs for training to do before the next module then another essay or more???? and i will be given a qualification in practice education and education and development by the university of Greenwich. Ive also just earnt 15 points towards my degree, if i want to use them

Best of Both? or something like that? I liked that for toast when in England... (the bread side of "toast" is incidental for me when I'm off on one, the THICKLY spread SALTY butter and marmalade/jam being the REAL ingredient!)

cheryl what are you essays on?

mmm toast with butter and jam or honey :D

Yes pretty much the same thing just a different make. I think. I love marmite on mine. Mmmmmmm

cheryl what are you essays on?
Its 4 1000 word essays on my reflective practice on my students. Cant even start now, need to take students out 1st. I will ask if they have one for me on sun night duty. Get this thing started

What are we like...

Gosh... if we can help?!! Do you let students do anything when they come along, or are they simply to watch and not touch (I presume...).

Thanks. No not at all. I stand back and let them treat unless they are incompitent at that skill or thet are dithering and the patient is really ill and needs treatment and needs it quick. I like to think thats the best way for them to learn.

Good thinking Cheryl. I always finding learning much easier hands on. And im a massive note taker. I have notes on everything.
And yes as joanne said anything we can do to help, even proof reading :D

I'm sure you're right - that's the best way to learn... "sink or swim"!
