So glad to hear you are enjoying yourself so much Chris. I will be having a week off next week as my sister and niece are finally there! Oh, I love crochet necklaces, isn't it easy to do? And the result is so beautiful... have you made any new ones recently?

No walk its piddled down all day and a gale blowing - I dont like walking in rain hate it so a boring day really. Feeling anxious about my son and his future ............ he doesnt seem concerned or in a hurry to do anything about it and its probably that thats getting to me! Just feeling a bit upset really with him. Dont know what to do to motivate him - I help young people everyday at work so why cant I do it for my own ........... so hard. Feel like reaching for the biscuit tin if I had one that is!
 
Oh dear not a good day - sure you are instinctively doing the right thing with your son though I understand why are are worried and upset. You can only say what you think and try and advise him. Not as simple as it sounds and sooo much harder with our own - really hard when young people don't have a direction they want to take - obviously Ben not at that stage but I have lots of girls working for me who decide this is not the job for them and you can't make them take the right path only let them know what you think it should be!!!!
Hope you manage to avoid the biccy tin or similar Chris - thinking of you. x

Thank you Mirjam - Ive made a few for pressies I always forget to take photos! Ive just got a library book for wired jewellery which has some good ideas in so going to have a craft day tomorrow whilst my daughter continues with her 3000 words!

It will be lovely for you to have family staying hope the weather is kind then you can get out and about in Aberdeen :)

I hope so too Chris, the weather's been really good the last couple of days, yesterday it was 17 degrees Celcius :eek::eek: when I went home from work. I have the blower on full on cold but I was still sweating lol. Today's another glorious day, 16 degrees so we're very lucky up here. Not much of a winter, only 1 day snow last week and that's it....

What is the title of the book Chris, I am always looking for good books re jewellery making as well. Enjoy your craft day and don't forget to take pictures of your work! ;) xx
 
yup hubby said when he got in the car in aberdeen last night it was 16.... temp was 11 when he arrived back here... shame it hadnt felt that warm

Where do you buy it from Trudy? If i can't get it next week from Waitrose (only go when I'm getting my daughter from UCLAN) or I did think to try the local health shop in my local town.
If all else fails then yes please thats very kind of you im wanting to try this pud - my daughter's ex fiance's mum used to make it for my daughter and she says its yum too :)
 
I got some from Sainsbury's in the chinese aisle! Asked where it was and got directed to Quorn first of all! LOL! It is v v v good. I have been buying it at our local farm shop as they have it on offer!!! Health food shops a good bet too. As I say if you can't get it up north let me know, obviously a southern thing - don't know how it got to Glasgow!
 
Ooh I just tried your fish pie & it's mega! Absolutely stuffed! And it wasn't that big a portion, either. Phew, rather goodly - thanks v much!
