Hi Chris, saw your muffin recipie you posted on Sonyas diary, I'm just after a bit of advise :) your muffun recipie is the best version I've tried, loved the taste but.....as I took them out of the oven couldn't believe the size but then as they cooled they began to sink ( along with my heart) , what do you think I did wrong ? Waiting with whisk in hand to make next batch x
 
When you find out I will have a go siddid! I have only bought sweetner today so gonna have a go tomorrow.

Sonya the taste was just what I needed something sweet. I added lemon flavoring, soooo nice gave them to my friends who are on the Dukan aswell with a cup of coffee mmmmm just wish they hadn't sunk :-(
 
Sounds lovely! Just say they were biscuits if they flat :) hee hee ! I needed sweetness too, hence my yoghurt concoction. It was gorgeous! Well chuffed! :)

they do sink a tad but not that much make sure your oven is pre-heated (I have a fan oven so gets hot quick) thick yoghurt is better than thin I used to put them in for 16 mins @ 160 degs and they had a 'soggy bottom' so upped it to 20 mins @ 180 degs more well done & texture more cakey but no wet. Ive had plenty practice Sonya & Sididd over the past weeks - trial & error I suppose ........... Happy Muffin baking though I shall be doing mine tomorrow for the following week :)
 
Thursday 8/3 PV
Its Thursday again where has it gone since last week? Had a good day yesterday - got ready for work and wore a striped top that had kindly been donated to me! Was'nt too sure even took another top with me to work in case my dukan friend said 'oh no chris' anyway Ive never had as many positive comments about my weight loss and what a nice top it was. Totally not something I would buy or the colours I would choose. Then at lunch time got a fantastic surprise as one of my best friends walked into the office (she lives in Switzerland) she could not believe her eyes. In her words 'gob smacked' - It was a flying visit to the UK for her but it was so lovely to see her even for 5 mins because I miss her like mad. She is back in April so will have more time then. I arrived home and was invited to the Trafford Centre by my gorgeous daughter & BF to do some shopping - managed to buy 2 new linen shirts lovely pale blue and green & 2 t shirts. Did buy a pair of jeans but didnt like them on so back to Next tomorrow.
 
Sometimes its nice when someone chooses something for you as they see us differently than we see our selves. Change is good xxx and thank for your muffin tips chris x
 
Thank you sididd I did get a boost from all the comments I've amazed myself ive been able to do this diet x hope your muffins turn out better - I will be making mocha & coconut tomorrow just been out to buy some yoghurt :) have a look at the recipe thread for homemade yoghurt made in the slow cooker its fab but you need time to make it much nicer than any shop bought once you get it right and its much cheaper :)
 
Oooo chris will do, as I don't work Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays I've plenty of time for cooking . So this weekend for me will muffins, muffins and more muffins oh yes and yogurt :) also going to try pp crisp and veg one's a try x

another good day today so glad its the end of the working week for me though ready for a little lie in tomorrow and to get my house a bit tidier before it all starts again on Monday. Busy week next week we are hosting a charity floral demonstration on Thursday eve with over 100 people coming including dignatories so the students must be on their best behaviour! Umm will have to work on that one next week - LOL
todays its been muffins, chilli (made by my lovely dukan work friend) roast chicken, sprouts & cauli
 
That definitely beats my hours I only work 4 days but I do 36 hours within that time, long days but worth it for the long weekends x but come may my first grandchild, Freddie will be born and I'm helping once my daughter-in-law returns to work in child care on Fridays. I'm very excited and can't wait to "Loose" on of my days. X
 
Sounds like a grand couple of days Chris - enjoy your lie in tomorrow. Hope you have some nice plans. Lovely to hear you got some more new clothes though shame about the jeans. My fingers are crossed for Sunday morning - hoping those scales have shifted down for you. Happy muffin baking - I have been eating less of them since making the tofu cheesecake but they are still my absolute favourite - I made a fab batch on Monday - just perfect but never seem to get them the same twice though they are always edible!!!!! x
 
Friday 9/3
had my lie in to 6.40 that blasted internal alarm clock went off again! LOL - loads to do so want to get stuck in when I've had my wake up coffee. The ironing board has been up 2 days but with no ironing done! Its raining here so I'm going clothes shopping this aft as recommended by the BBC weather report. At least things will be put away and the house tidy for weekend - tomorrow I can dyson & dust :) weather not bad so its 2 nice walks along the beautiful Leed/Liverpool tow path - yeh summer is coming ;)

Thanks Trudy I will, lots to do and not enough time to do it all in :eek: walks are a priority as is Dukan after all the positive comments I got this week. It does make me think 'yep you've done it' first thing people ask is what diet Ive been doing, for colleagues I don't know that well I just say its healthy eating and dont elaborate other than lean protien and veg (which I know dukan is). The minute you say no fruit its 'oh no that can't be healthy' but are they eating healthily? er NO.
So ........... I rest my case.

Have a good day today - hope your girls work hard and the gee gee's are good for you too oh and the weather behaves itself too x
 
hope you have a good day chris.... whats ironing ??? I think ive seen my hubby doing that on occasion LOL
