Christiana's "persistence not perfection" food diary

You're right, sometimes I can't help it....damn scales!

Good luck for WI tonight hun x

Thanks for the well wishes, but it's bad news I'm afraid. Not just bad, but AWFUL. I knew I'd gained, I'd just never expected it'd be this bad, I have no clue what happened, but I'm completely devastated that I've gained in one week what I lost in THREE.

 How???? Not a clue. In preparation I printed off my food diary to take to class tonight, thinking "at worst, I may have gained a pound or two - better still stayed the same".......

A disturbing 7.5lbs is what I put on. 7.5lbs ON. I may as well have had KFC everyday this week, at least I'd feel like I earned that gain. No star week, no binges, no flexi-days, hell, I didn't even have all my syns this week!!!!

My consultant couldn't see anything wrong at first glance, but he said he'd look over it in detail and give me a ring if anything seemed off. 7.5lbs.....I didn't even put that on during the wedding, or the birthdays....a whole half a stone plus that has managed to cancel out both my club 10 AND 3st award.

As usual, two steps forward, ten steps back.  :(

On the upside, it's 2lbs less than what my scales said. Big whoop.

:sigh:

hey, dont stress too much, it went on v fast, so prob just water retention or something due to the weather. hopefully it'll disappear just as quickly!

Please don't stress hun, why_d is right - it's gone on way too quickly to be 'real' weight - the only way you could put that much on is by binging 100% for the entire week and you have done NONE of the sort. I dont even think a daily KFC would have put that much on tbh. Keep at it, don't lose hope, and I'm sure it will all come off again next week x

Thanks guys. It's just so frustrating! I know the coming weeks will be tough. I had a target to reach and I'm now going to have to revise it....no way I'm making 4st 7lbs by NYE now. I'm looking through my book, and this is my 6th (and heaviest) gain, totalling 1st 6.5lbs....waaaayyyy too much.

I'll try not to stress, but this has really knocked my motivation.

I should be much lighter by now. And now my body has proved that it can just put on half a fricken stone without batting an eyelid...in a week! Which means theoretically I could undo 23 weeks hard graft in 5 weigh-ins!

This week is going to be torture.

I agree with what the others have said hun,it will be off again real soon.Keep going you have done soooo well, focus on the amount you have already lost.Keep smiling.:grouphugg:.xx

Hey hun, well done for sticking at it this week - I know you were finding it really hard. I'm really hoping you are rewarded with the scales this week.
Have you heard from your consultant yet?

Thanks Sarah! Haven't heard from him yet, so I assume he thinks everything is okay. It has been mega hard this week, my local Tesco has undergone a major refurb and what did they go and do????

They went and got a KRISPY KREME counter!!!!!! Give me strength!! I've avoided going anywhere near there so far....I've convinced myself I no longer like donuts! Don't know how long I can fool my sweet tooth! One more day till WI, I think I'll leave my grocery shopping till after class!

Good luck at weigh in.
Got a feeling krispy kreme's are 11 syns each (don't quote me on that though)
Would be a fab post-WI treat if you do well (counted within your syns obviously!)

I lost 2.5lbs last night, I expected more, but I'm happy it's a loss. I did also enjoy a maple glazed Krispy Kreme donut with a a cup of tea after class (14 syns)....so worth it! :D

I'm thinking of throwing in a couple of success express days in this week, maybe speed up the losses as we head into Christmas (aka temptation) season. I've decided to try and bulk buy some frozen veggies since the weather is so unpredictable right now (it's snowing AGAIN as I write this)....I'm a bit wary of driving in the snow.
