Claire's diary of food and thoughts

LMAO! that is some vid. LOL

I'll off and find your thread morenachica, sounds very interesting.

for some strange reason I really like this thread. ;)

LOl @ jim I bet you do like this thread :p

Laura C you are a 34HH  at 5'7, wow I bet you do have a load to carry but also do you have back problems? My sister who is 5'0 and about 90 pounds had a breast reduction. She was a like a 36 DD and she had awful bad problems and got a medical certificate saying she ws having a reduction for health reasons and not cosmetic..

Morning all :) Nice to see the boobie talk is still ongoing after i've slept n woken up again! Haha.. What a bunch aren't we.

Well, had a sneaky wi this morning n have put on 0.6lbs.. I did feel a bit of a pig in the end yesterday though as pretty much finished the tray of donnar.. Felt hungry though, must have been the troopsing around meadowhall that did it. Just about to start making a slow cooker stew type thing for tea.. Have got lamb, aubergine, celery, mushies, shallots... should i just bung em in with water n herbs then add xantham at the end??? Stick it on low all afternoon?

Claire the 0.6 lbs could be water. I wouldn't worry about it too much..

Yes i did go to bed with a bit of a sore tongue, i think the meat must have been quite salty. I intend on trying to drink loads today to hopefully counteract the effect. Just about to make the stew concoction n then do the washing up, tidy my bunnys area n then have a good clear out of my clothes to take to the charity shop..

I think you can get it done on the NHS if it's for health grounds Laura hun, though knowing the NHS it'll depend on your postcode... :)

B. Coffee with cream n sweetner 0.5
D. TBD
T. Slow cooker lamb concoction
600g stewing lamb 0
150g chopped celery 1.4
190g mushies 0.7
250g aubergine 6.3
Sprinkle of mixed herbs, tsp pureed garlic, sprinkle of onion granules 1
Will add xantham gum at the end... 9.4 for whole recipe.. Will probably have with celeriac mash - yummy! :D

I was going to say, use a stock cube and add the gum a the end Claire

Hmm, true matey.. Maybe worth an ask to be sure though before shelling out the dosh. I see where you're coming from though.

B. Coffee with cream n sweetner 0.5
D. Egg salad
2 hard boiled eggies 0
1 Little gem lettuce, bottom chopped off, outer leaves removed n rest chopped up, approx 100g 1.7
Chopped cucumber 2
2 baby plum toms off vine 1
Dollop mayo 1

6.2 so far..

Thanks Jim... I've left the stock cube out atm and i'll see how it is tasting in a few hrs time. I only have chicken ones left too but hopefully it'll be ok with the herbs, garlic n onion powder i put in. Must say, i've never put aubergine into a stew before! I usually use gravy granules to thicken it too so the xantham gum is a bit of an experiment!!

2pints of squash down so far... will keep chugging away throughout the afternoon of drawer clearance :) Oxfam's going to have a field day later when i take things over! At least i'll be able to see what few clothes i have too!! Will keep hold of the BIG jeans though for the before n afters just for you Jim!

LOL B&A and the big pants. I love it.

I would have cubed the celeriac and put that in the stew, or did you do that and I missed it? I find the trick with aubergine is to chop it large or it can just dissolve away Claire.

No, i haven't included it. I thought i was being risky enough with celery which i don't massively like n also my first trial of the aubergine! I also LOVE celeriac mash so i thought it'd be a real treat to have mash with the stew :) I chopped the aubergine fairly chunky too so hopefully it won't disintegrate.. Have turned it down to low now and the flat smells of stew! Poppy's all happy now i've tidyed her area up and the drawers are next for a massive 'slimming down'!

Hmm, I'm sure poppy will soon mess it all up again Claire.

I dont see why you couldn't get a reduction done. it's for health reasons.. Now I do ahve a problem with people getting breast implants if they havent lost a breast or something like that. But most reductions are for medical reasons.

Hmmm, I've been studying that shock absorber vid, quite interesting what you can do with computer graphics these days.

LOL @ jim

Laura thats good that they dont cause you many problems. My sister, poor little thing, she had back marks on her shoulders from bra straps and she tried so many types of bras. When you saw her before the reduction it literally looked like she was tipping over LOL...

Well the drawer clear out is complete. 3 bin bags full for the charity shop n 1 bin bag full for the bin. Sorted.

Now it's time to chop some celeriac for me mash, yummy yummy..
