** Claire's low carb blah blah chit chat gabbing **

Heya people. Made a spur of the moment phone call last might to a local chiropractor, rather than my usual osteopath. Anyway, they could fit me in half hour after the call so I went over. Had the consultation n exam. He basically reckons that my problem isn't my back it's my pelvis, as i suspected all along. Google sacroiliac joint dysfunction. He reckons where my sacrum (bottom of spine) meets the pelvis one sides joint is too loose n the other too tight. This instability in my pelvis means my back has been compensating for it n so meaning the back muscles easily go into spasm n get strained. He wants to be doubly sure with the MRI that nothing's wrong with my back but he doesn't think there will be. So basically he's gotta sort out my pelvis which means grabbing it n moving it about various ways as the two joints are hard to single out to move.

Great news Claire, I had major problems for years but got properly sorted by a chiropractor, it is a bit brutal but it works xxxxx

Oh Claire that is good news - to have it confirmed, at least, and now you can start putting it right.

You working this weekend?

Yep. Back to work in the morning :-( Jope to god I'm allowed to do light duties for the shift set. Then it's rest days n scan time.

Heya berry! Long time no see Hun. Hope ur well? X

Sorry Hun. Certainly gets u thinking tho doesn't it. Read it first a couple of yrs ago but found the link last night.

Just been woken by the alarm. Earlies really should be banned. Especially at the weekend. Fingers crossed for my chat with the supervisor today, hope she sees things from my perspective n let's me do light duties for the week. Back muscles are slowly subsiding but pelvis aches more than ever. Possibly due to the chiropractor visit maybe? My pelvis has also cracked a couple of times since but I'm thinking this is a good thing as it did it once whilst the chiropractor yanked it about.

Morning Claire... Sounds like you were right all along with your diagnosis! If the supervisor doesn't let you do light duties you could always get a medical note! Last thing you need while you're sorting it out!! Yuck to earlies!! Xxx

Morning Claire.....

They can't make you do anything when your injured mate!! If they do it's fed and grievance time me thinks xx

Well the chat went fine, as I thought it would. Return to work form done with recommendations to Occy health to contact me. Put on restricted till my scan n if needed Occy health can extend but till then my supervisor can authorise. So although I'm pretty much condemned to the station at least I shouldn't do myself any mischief whilst getting treated etc.

That's good news hun - although they would be very silly to make you do anything but light duties when you've got good cause!

Hope the day flies past for you x

Glad everything's getting sorted!!! x

Sleepy. Was out for the count by 2230 last night which is v.early for me, even whilst on early shifts. Think pain can tire n out tho. Dunno.

Pain is a bugger for making you feel very tired, just cos it is a constant battle with your body. Sending lots of love and hugs xxxx

Morning Claire and hugs... Hope the pain is a little easier?! Xxx
