Daily chat and general fun food time

Lost a pound this week! ☺️

Decided I needed a bit of motivation so I've put my goal on our fridge and I've a snap of a wedding dress as my phone screen!
Me and OH are also going to have a competition this week - biggest loser gets breakfast in bed, other person has to run 2k!

Breakfast :

Food all prepped and ready for today!

In my lunch box of tricks I have

Breakfast : All bran, strawberries, banana and milk (hexs)

Snack: pineapple, tea and kit Kat (5 syns)

Lunch : homemade tomato soup and yoghurt

Went out for lunch so having a subway salad with no dressing as well - feeling full up now!

Snack : 2 hard boiled eggs and hex b 3.5 syns, 1/2 syn for tea

Dinner : 5 syns chicken rogan josh with rice

Got these sauces while out shopping! Very good value! Me and my OH are tryin to avoid the takeaway so it works out much less syns than the new values for takeaways! The values below are for the whole jar! €1 per jar

I would recommend using 1/2 a jar between 2 people, keep the syns really really low!

20 for balti jar
20 for Jalfrezi
38 for korma ( I was like )
Only 14.5 for the rogan josh
 
Updating my food for today! Trying a lil EESP day

Breakfast : all bran (hex b) and milk (hex a) with strawberries

Lunch : homemade tomato soup (all speedy!)

Did have these though while out and about for lunch as well!

Snack : 2nd alpen light (hex b), milkybar (3 syns) and tea (1/2 syn)

Dinner : buffalo chicken wings (4 syns - homemade sauce!), carrot and butternut squash chips with baked beans - so delish

Enjoyed my wee buffalo wings last night! Think next time though I will definitely do them with chicken fillet chucks as the bones in the wings annoyed me!

Today :

Breakfast: all bran and banana with milk (both hexs)

Snack : tea and kit Kat (6 syns)

Lunch : yoghurt, Apple, 7 up free and leftover bolognaise sauce

Snack : pineapple chunks

Dinner : Steak, baked potato and veggies
 
How did you make your sauce bubbly i kind of like the sound of them were they marinated first? Your really sticking to it well hopefully a good loss coming ur way. X

It was a recipe I got off the internet :

Cuisine: Main Meal Author: Samantha Milner Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: 2 hours 10 mins Total time: 2 hours 15 mins Serves: 4
Ingredients
4 skinless chicken breasts
2 cloves of garlic
3 tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tbsp paprika
2 tbsp chilli sauce
1 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp honey
Instructions
Cut the chicken breast into large chunks and place into a freezer bag
Crush the garlic cloves and add to the bag with the chicken
Pour into the bag the vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, paprika, chilli sauce, honey and tomato puree
Close the bag securely and then shake it well to combine the flavours
Leave the chicken to marinade in the bag in the fridge for a minimum of 2 hours - overnight if possible is better
When the chicken has marinaded remove it from the bag and place onto a baking tray
Bake the buffalo wings in the oven at 200 degrees for about 10 minutes
While the chicken is cooking pour the left over marinade into a pan and allow it to come to the boil before then letting it simmer for 10 minutes
Remove the chicken from the oven and pour over the marinade sauce
Serve the buffalo wings between four plates with a side salad


It was nice! I did it with wings but next time it will be chicken breasts!
 
Thank you I'm going to give that a go, might omit the hunny as i'm not a great lover of it. I take it its the honey and chilli sauce that has the syns?
 
Oh TGIT!! Cannot wait until the weekend begins! Haven't got much on at work today so that's wonderful!

Me and OH worked out last night that with the exchange rate at the moment being so high for us here, our wedding will be all paid off at the end of next month!! Whoop! Then to concentrate on the Honeymoon!

We want to go to the Maldives so it's a little expensive but it will be more than worth it! Going to start hunting out hot, boob supporting bikinis and the like to take with me, I've already made a start into my white underwear pile!

So food for today :

Breakfast : all bran (hex b), milk (hex a) and blueberries

Lunch : leftover rogan josh from during the week (4.5 syns)

Snack : Alpen light bar and rest of hex A milk (3.5 syns)

Dinner : not sure! OH said he would be late tonight back so I'm thinking something with nice for me since I will be in the house on my own all afternoon!

Dinner was : yoghurt, diet coke, grapes and 4 rice cakes (5 syns)

Didn't get round to doing a run yesterday but I am going to laser tag later today which should be fun and I'll get a little body magic in as well!!!

Good morning!!! Just on the way to my second last driving lesson!
OH booked our honeymoon - 14th September!!! I'm so fricking excited!

Breakfast : alpen light 2 hex b

Snack : 2 hard boiled eggs, 1 dioralyte sachet after my run

Lunch : baked potato with hex a cheese and baked beans and tuna

Snack: 4,5 syns Jaffa cakes and tea

Dinner : Sri Lankan restaurant - going to make wise decisions - probably around 25 syns but I have a few syns extra anyways!

Hi all! Day before WI and my driving test so planning on having a EESP day today. No idea of a plan yet. Also, * week is here so I'm hoping it won't affect my WI too much.

Breakfast: cup of tea 1/2 syn, hex b toast with air fryed tomatoes and baked beans

Snack : 5 syns - M&S popcorn and Jaffa cake!

lunch: heading out for lunch so hopefully something light, I did pick a healthy restaurant so probably salad! - grilled chicken salad with rocket and tomatoes, pesto and balsamic vinegar dressing with diet coke - 4 syns

Dinner: well, OH wants low carb as well, perfect for an EESP day! meaty burger with cheese and butternut squash and carrot chips!

Snack : 2 x Alpen light bars (hex b) and 1/2 syn tea
