Daily chat...

"just"? sounds great to me... let us know what you're seeing, where you're eating etc etc. I used to live in London many moons ago and still get excited when the train pulls in... (had the best pizza EVER last time in London! Zizzi's... will never forget the name of that restaurant... easy to stick in the mind of a French speaker ;) hey Robin?!)

And enough to put you off eating pizza too (fancy a zizzi pizza?!) The thought:eek:.

Hope you have a great break, Jaqys.

Sounds lovely Jays - I am up in London too on Saturday - DD and I are going to the health and vitality show at Earls Court - no doubt to be made to feel fat by all the stick insects there :)

Do you feel "fat" Mouse? I was talking to a friend about feeling "slim" at the moment, because I've lost 9K since January... (whereas when I weighed this weight on the way UP, I felt humungous!!)

With your recent weight drop, I'd have hoped you'd be feeling more confident and SLIM... :D You should!!

A lovely thought Robin... :D

I'm going to see 25th Annual county putnam spelling bee (its a musical not an actual spelling competition), Wizard of Oz and Betty Blue Eyes (which I am most excited about).
Hope to get dayseats for Flare Path and something else thursday before coming home but might just go for a movie if nothing takes my fancy.

No Pizza talk grrrrr, got to try and be good, too many false starts this year.
Though I am tempted to go to Bar Boulud :: London I went to his place in vegas once and was wonderful food/service.

I didnt feel too fat in the gym sat, even with the big mirrors and being next to the skinny trainer, today in normal clothes feel like a pumpkin.

When I look at myself I feel I look the same as I ever did:D

Hi, can anyone remeber which thread the recipe for the homemade cheese was on please?

Found it - it was on the starting Monday thread.

Thanks - I have just posed it onto the recipes section.

I'm sitting (working) at home till 10 today when I have a dentist appointment :-( Another broken filling...wish me luck...

Now I need to have a snack before I go - tried baking a different type of oatbran biscuits last night, time to try one now! I'll report back on recipes in a moment.

The cottage cheese or the dentist :)

;) BOTH?

Dentist should be okay, I just have a knack for cracking my fillings - it always happens :sigh: so no great surprise there. Once I was still in the dentist chair when it dislodged when she told me to 'test it' (when they make you bite on blue paper), and we had to DO IT ALL AGAIN - ARGH :(:(

Home made cottage cheese - I bought fresh skimmed milk last night so we'll see soon!

I'm so sorry to hear the news Vickki, and delighted at your humour with the bible door to door salesman! Young, I once invited one in, sat him down in the front room and called my parents in from the garden; Took them ages to get rid! Dad still teases me about that to this day.

Why don't you guys fix a time and meeting point! T'would be great!! Photo obligatory!!

Hi I'm back and it was 'fine' - as dentist's appointments go ;) At least I'm allowed to drink water!

Vikki - yay let them rattle on, we're in the close 'catchment' of the local Church of Latter day Saints (aka Jehovas witnesses) and every new recruit / fresh-faced visitor from the US needs to go round the houses spreading the good word  and we're always in the firing line. Depends on how I feel I open the door or not. We've even been stopped in the street (as a couple before we had kids / were married) and had the virtues of having families and kids explained to us!

I read of a good policy to have with cold telephone callers... simply say "just a moment" and wander off back to whatever you were doing when the phone rudely interrupted you. Their phone bill. ;)

I simply say "I'm a tenant" and that gets rid of most.

I tell them the house is listed (which is not a lie) - that pretty soon gets rid of double glazing and conservatory people!

Yes, and in the UK at least, enrol in the 'telephone preference service' (like the mailing preference service for junk mail). You can do it online:

TPS Registration

MPS online

They both work very well. At least I have had no more readers digest junk nor kitchen sales people ("this is not a sales call") for quite a while. Of course people you've done business with in the past may still ring / mail you unless you tell them in writing not to (I think)

Later day saints are the Mormans, birthdays but no caffine.

I have no phone line and an entry phone between me and doorknockers, tis wonderful :D
