Strange day for me today foodwise. Let's call it a PP/PV...

Am risking an attempt at attack despite the going out this week.
Yesterday
B WW yogurt with bran
L tin of tuna with mustard and vinegar
S ww yogurt
D meat loaf made with 250gms turkey mince, 1/2 egg, slosh of from frais, mustard
S Pack of sliced beef 125gms

Today
B ww yogurt with bran
L/D meatloaf as yesterday, chicken (about 1/2 a 240 gm pack)
S ww yogurt
Am out tonight so have(hopefully enough) lunch and dinner with me, if hungry when I get home will have the rest of the chicken.
Forgot how much the bran can fill me up even on attack portions.

Good to see you back Jaq... (your WW yoghurt didn't have any fruit pieces in, I trust!)

Nah they're smooth(actually 1 flavour has a small bit in), I dont like vanilla/toffee yog(too sweet and chemically) and these didnt give me any problems before. All being well I'll be back to plain stuff next week, just need to limit the amount of tuppawear in my bag this week.

I just typed something about the ML being synthetically sweet (and I think the toffee tastes of rust... must have tasted it at some point in my life for that to have popped in my mind when I tasted it!!). Just concerned re fruit pieces in attack that's all ;) Want you in ketogenic euphoria soonest! :D

I don't think I should post my menus, Jo, just in case anyone gets the wrong idea. HOWEVER, I do post on Thursday (unless I'm not around).

Here's this week's effort (I know it's in 2 days) but as it's PP I've done the prep already as I'll do something else for the others - husband does PP lunches a few times a week at work rather than PP/PVing for a whole day! He hasn't put on a gramme despite not doing conso properly:eek:.

B - 1/2 portion Dukan vanilla cake, yogurt
L - (made this and frozen) mixed fish (2 x white fish, small amount smoked salmon, prawns) in white sauce (made with cornflour, mustard, skimmed milk), fromage blanc
D - omelette (will throw away a yolk), rhubarb and fromage blanc
S - other 1/2 cake

Not as strict as he likes but it will have to do!

Lucky husband, good for him finding a way for it to work.
What makes the menu less strict, the salmon? I'm actually pleased that I'm a long long way away from superstrict pp days.

Most of it, Jaqys:(.

The smoked salmon, egg yolks, dairy (other than fromage blanc) and any tolerated (cornflour, rhubarb).

Stab PP days tend to be white - white fish, egg whites and chicken and limit everything else as much as you can.

Welcome back, btw. Have you started up another diary (or moved the old one?)

And husband, yes infuriating (his type ofconso was have a whisky, biscuits, etc but refused wholemeal pasta and rice) but I'm pleased all the same.:) Now he's stopping smoking - very stressful for us all:sigh: but I hope he manages finally (ongoing stop-start battle since we decided to have kids so almost 13 years).

PP
B - 3 goji cinammon muffins
l - 1 chicken breast and 150g smoked salmon (I have some left to use up)
d - chicken
s - Tesco greek 0% yogurt, 3 muffins

B: half cinnamon galette
L: 6 generous slices roast beef with wholegrain mustard, about 150g garlic prawns
S: rest of galette
D: Ginger chilli lime chicken with broccoli and green beans, sf jelly

Cathy - just a comment, and you mightn't be hungry at breakfast... but if you look at your day yesterday, most of your food seems to be eaten evening (dinner + supper) and you had (for your current weight) very little protein for breakfast.

Something perhaps to rejiggle. The bran is great at breakfast, for instance, and will fill you far better than a yoghurt. You can make galettes/muffins (same recipe) in advance and freeze if no time in morning to cook... Also what sort of quantity cottage cheese are you having?

Emma - love the sound of your dinner! Ref your lunch - did you cook a large joint or something? Never tried that but useful I see for having meat handy for a PP lunch!

Today on PV
4.5km walk
B: muffins with smoked fish in mix
L: 180g sirloin with green beans (restaurant, the beans glisten so I'm presuming butter)
Fat free yoghurt (back at my desk)

S: 1/3 pack made up sugar free jelly

D: 75g smoked salmon (might regret that if I bloat as usual), handful of prawns, and some lettuce, cucumber and couple cherry toms.

Jo, dinner was lovely - see the recipes section for full details, but it's easy to make and goes well with rice for non dukaners. I've the leftovers for my lunch today and is a firm favourite in our household!

We cooked a massive joint of beef on sunday and i've been ploughing through what was left since. I'd not really done it before but it worked well and it was cooked beautifully for a first attempt! I have decided i don't like cold chicken at all, so cold beef makes a perfect lunch for me with a dash of mustard on the side.
