It's H A R D this baking for/with others, no? A friend said what she did was have a glass of water that she drank 'aggressively' lol, I sometimes put a weight loss focusing podcast on the kitchen sound system, and have sticks of celery at the ready. Have a good time with your T and thinking of you for your imminent WI

My Wednesday is good, thanks. I'm off to buy alarm clocks and then pick my boy up for a long evening and maybe even an ovenight stay. There is also good news on the phone front, I left it for a couple of days with some of those dehydrating granule thingies and it works. My phone is not flashy android thingy but it's a lot better than the crappy cheapo one I bought and I'm so happy to have it back a again.

I relented and had a lovely warm piece of short bread with my coffee and it was beautiful. I actually wasn't needed much in the kitchen S just got on with it while I changed the living room furniture around then changed it back again because I changed my mind :D lol. She even washed up while I made my Piri-Piri marinade.

I remember years ago when T dropped his phone in his pint of cider he took the back off and placed the battery and bits and bobs of it in a bag of pudding rice for about 4 days and it was right as rain :)....it was a basic cheap phone but the best little phone he ever had...I say little..Ive seen smaller hamster cages but you get what I mean lol :D ;)

Im really looking forward to 5pm Thursday because thats when T is home until tuesday morning and he gets paid tomorrow too! YAAY!. Don't know what were going to be doing, Im not bothered if we don't do anything at all...would just be nice to all chill has a family. Unfortunately doubt O and his gf gonna be part of the weekend - gotta feeling he's gonna drag this out for all its worth, but he'll get over it xxx

As always yummy!! Great to have just one bit of shortbread - will of steel! Ware cress soup looks great. I wish I took the time to plan and cook but something always gets in the way- your food is creative and tasty and that's the key to not getting bored. Wi not far away! I'm looking forward to this weekend and mine has already started!!!

That looks good - how did you do the marinade? x

Its basically a load of herbs and spices and lemon juice....heres my recipe:

PIRI-PIRI QUORN

2 large onions
1 pack of quorn pieces
Or
8 quorn fillets
Various veg (chopped carrot, peppers, sweet potato, courgette) of your choice.
4 tablespoons of lemon juice
1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp garlic granules
1 tsp crushed chillies
1 tsp lemon pepper
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chopped coriander leaf

Peel and roughly chop all the veg and place in a casserole dish. Mix in the quorn pieces or if using quorn fillets place in casserole dish with some of the onion and veg on top of the fillets. Spray veg and quorn generously with fry-light. Mix all the herbs together and sprinkle over the veg and quorn, finish off with the lemon juice. Add salt then cover with foil. Cook at 190 for 45 minutes.

No it's the best weekend of the year, especially as you have all those days together - you have to enjoy it and I reckon you will still lose. I predict 1.5 with tomorrow's wine too. We have to do what we need to to stay on it. I was going to 'wine' tomorrow as out for din with a friend but throat so dry and raspy think I will drive - so much easier! Enjoy the wine and have a sip or two or me xx
