Dairy Of a Lardy kid aged 43 and 3 quarters...

Such good news. So glad you got a nice gp. The clouds are most definitely lifting and doesn't it jus price one thing - it's not worth the pre gp worry! You will feel really good now with relief but try to remember it for next time. Maybe she will sort your counselling. I hope so. X

Forgot to say...I asked about the counselling and she seems to think that I should of already received a letter to start an initial 6 sessions in April...I'm due to see her again on the 5th and she said if I hadn't heard anything by then she will sort it at that appointment xx

:)

Ok - been a little side tracked with 'stuff' all morning...so here's how today's grub looks..

Breakfast: vanilla coffee(s) (hexA)

Lunch: a big bowl of vegetable stew from yesterday.

Dinner: southern style Quorn burger (2.5) whole meal bread roll (hexB) 40g reduced fat cheddar (hexA) oven roasted onions and SW chips with a mixed salad. Extra light mayo (2) ketchup (1) salad cream (1)

Snacks: hoping to have black grapes and fat free blueberry yogurt. 4 Ryvitas (hexB) with yesterday's homemade chunky hummus, but don't tend to eat much in the evening. Prefer a bit of fruit and a cup of tea <what a rock chick>

:D xxx

:)

How do you find the quorn burgers, I always struggle to get them to taste nice or maybe its the way im cooking them?

I think I may make some hummus tonight with celery and carrot sticks - whats your recipe ? xxx

Just catching up with your news. I'm soooooo pleased you had a nice GP who listened to you and prescribed something that looks useful. I had a friend on beta blockers and benefited from them a lot. I googled this one and people mostly seem to report good things for it. I hope the side effects die down though, perhaps they will as your body gets used to it.

CHUNKY HUMMUS

1 tin of Chick peas
garlic granules
Smoked paprika
Basil
Onion granules
Juice of one lemon
Black Pepper
Salt
4 tblsps Fat-free fromage frais

Put all ingredients into a bowl and blend.

I actually like the quorn burgers, but they're a bit temperamental and if overlooked are on par with cardboard. The burgers I have, look more like breadcrumb coated chicken and taste really quite nice. I cook them in the oven whereas the actual plain quorn burgers I cook in the microwave :) xx

I've heard of beta-blockers but never had them before now. The sticking feeling in my throat still hasn't gone, but I've just spent the last 2 hours walking round town with my teenage son having a laugh and joke (unheard of lately) I so feel chilled but I'm also aware of the placebo affect because Im so desperate for them to work and have some quality back in my life. What's your thoughts, Michelle you too xx

Sounds good, whether or not it is the placebo effect. I don't know, suppose it could be but if it works don't knock it. Probably is the drug, people have been known to take meds that they desparately want to work and been very disapointed when they don't work.

A laughing fun time with your son sounds good whatever caused it.

I had bbs for 5 days to slow my heart so it could be monitored so yes they work straight away. I was told by cardio dr he has written on my recording can have some so if I ever want them i can just go and ask, but I never got them. Basically he said if I having a bad day I can take just one so thy are instant and he said, not addictive with people having used them for years. I found when I went on them for those 5 days my non panic heart rate was in the 40s and that's what keeps you calm!

If they work go for it. You can come off the whenever I think & dip in and out as required, but check that with gp.

Depends what you're watching on tv with your chocolate items in bed. Sounds very 'rolling stones/marianne faithfull to me and you can't get much more rock and roll than that!! (Bad taste sorry!)

GOOD MORNING MY LOVELY PEOPLE!! :)

Sticking in the throat feeling not too bad - feel nicely chilled thank you very much - HAPPY DAYS!!

Was planning the cinema today but I would really like T to come with us for a change instead of being designated driver but now it's started snowing and S has decided she wants friends round and the other S is still asleep....meh!

I'm definitely doing that watercress soup today before it goes into mush...so guess what I'll be eating every lunchtime until next Saturday :D..

Anyhoo here's Tuesdays planned grub...

Breakfast: some fat free blueberry yogurt and the rest of the chunky hummus which I slightly warmed in the microwave. It tasted so much better because it had sat in the fridge for a few days infusing. Had it with dark rye crisp breads (hexB) will defo be making it again.

Lunch: homemade Watercress soup ....simples.

Dinner: can't make my mind up between Quorn korma, wedges and rice or Piri-Piri Quorn with baked potato and oven roasted onions and whole green beans OR Spicy Red Lentil and chickpea loaf with roasted onions and vegetables. Either one is syn free so I suppose it'll be either one! :D I've got all day with nothing much to do apart from refereeing the 2 teenagers. Anyhow coffee calls its freezing here..happy spring everyone lol ;)

Crap day so far. Not managed to make soup but did manage to get into a huge row with my eldest son :( . Short story, he lives a mile away with his gf, lately only ever seem to see them when they come for dinner on a Sunday - no phone calls/texts or anything through the week complete lack of interest in us or his siblings and its been like this for the last month. S asked could he go over while he's off school for the Easter term and O just point blank refused!. Gf is one of them who will challenge everything and is very argumentative - so lots of tolerance and biting of tongue when around her, son is very defensive can't talk to him about nothing (he takes after my first hubs). So texted eldest saying we should make arrangements to meet up maybe talk some things through so he phones me up...conversation slowly goes down hill. Conversation ended with him shouting what's the point when I told him that T had a long weekend off work and we had nothing planned and he knew where we lived etc *shrug!*..lots of things said, lots of 'truths' he didn't like it I didn't expect him to - but now he knows.

I am SICK TO THE BACK TEETH of having to adopt a titanium tolerance of his behaviour and the attitude of his 18 year old bone idle argumentative gf I don't let the 2 youngest talk to me like she does and she's only 3 years older than S......GRRRRR!!!! *gnashing of teeth*.

So had an apple for lunch. Hissed off good and proper...these things keep happening and Im sick of being accused of being the bad guy. Things need to change because I ain't bending to nobodies shape anymore!..

*rant over normal service will resume*
;) :D

:)

Oh no Lisa. Crappy crappy day. Hope you're ok chick?!?! Xxx
