*deep breath* my journey to a thinner / healthier me

I "think" I finally have Chris on board :woohoo:

We were talking last night and I told him that I need support on this so that I can lose as much as possible in time for the wedding next year and for a few other things too. And we've decided that we're going to get rid of all of his rubbish like his fatty crisps and that he's going to try and start eating some more fruit (even if I have to wizz it up in a smoothie for him).

I've told him that if he starts buying in the baked crisps or low calorie ones when we do food shops then we can manage that. And we're going to try and start eating more meals together too rather than him having chips etc and me eating on my own :D

Am feeling really positive about it all this morning
 
That's great news Emily!

It's so much easier eating the same stuff. Also it doesn't help you if you're trying ti be good and there's still cr@p in the house. Fab news :-D

Oh that is great news. OH is the same as yours snack wise. I always have to resist his goodies, but luckily he'll eat whatever I cook for myself so main meals aren't too bad.
 
2.5 songs done in a row today and got a bit of a sweat on so I'm feeling quite pleased with myself. Will do some more later on, but it's better than what I did yesterday. I attempted that one that I put the video up of and had to stop half way through as I just couldn't do the rest of it :giggle:

I really wish Chris had been paid so that we could go and do some shopping as it's really depressing seeing the fridge so empty. Roll on monday so we can go shop :D

Food for today, still not looking brilliant, but I try and do the best with what I've got in

Brekkie - banana sandwich
Lunch - ham, cheese and apple
Snack - 2 alpen light bars
Dinner - I've got some meat out of the freezer, so was thinking that with rice and baked beans?
Snack - space raiders crisps, hot choc

If it helps any, I was exactly the same when I first started using the Just Dance games. A couple of songs would kill me and I'd have to stop.

Don't force yourself or you'll end up worn out and sore. Just take it at a nice steady pace and gradually build yourself up. You'll soon manage 30 minutes without a problem!
On the plus side, 2 songs is a great improvement from 0 songs! :)

I agree with Stevie, I tried my first zumba class and by 2 songs I was trying not to be sick in the corner drinking water like it was going out of fashion, tried a spinning class and was mortified as everyone was skinny and I kept having to sit down and stop pedalling, but I kept at it and after a few weeks I was keeping up, doing the advanced moves and making some of the skinnies look unfit! You will get there hun, we all have to start somewhere and your determination to not give up because of it will soon start to pay off :) xxxx
 
what sort of meat is it Emm? could you make a chilli? mind you might not like chilli I am assuming :giggle: good to hear hes going to support you thats fab :D and Gary eats what I put in front of him, no cooking two meals :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It's either pork or chicken, but I guess I could cook it and have it with a veggie paella that I've got in the freezer that I'd forgotten about. EE day it is, well as close to EE as I can get because I can't get my 1/3 superfree

I've given up way too many times in the past and this time it's just not an option, not for the things that I want to do. So it's just a case of gritting my teeth and sticking it out xx
 
I've been keeping an eye on it, but I think the earliest is monday, and even then we could have to wait until wednesday :sigh:

I'm so angry at my brother's gf because it's her responsibility to send the timesheets off. If it affected her she'd be having a right paddy, but because she doesn't pay rent or bills then she has loads of savings so she doesn't care about getting her wages late.

I'm going to dig in the freezer tomorrow and see what I can find. If needs be I can have paella again, pasta with tuna (synned), which means I could class it as a green day and have toast at night or as snacks and a big bowl of cornflakes in the morning :)
 
Right, let's try a food diary for tomorrow

Brekkie - cornflakes (5 syns) with milk (hexa), banana
Snack - apple
Lunch - Paella (onion, peas, mushroom, sweetcorn and pepper)
Dinner - tuna (hexb) and pasta with a squirt of mayo (3 syns) and 2 grated babybels (hexa)
Snack - toast (hexb) (4 syns)
Syns - 12
 
Really good news about OH, i do think it helps a lot having someone else who you live with following the same plan as you.. that way you can both work at together and motivate each other, all sounding good :D xx
 
:woohoo: we managed to do a tiny little shop today even though Chris hasn't been paid yet, but we desparately needed stuff in

So food for today is looking like this

Dinner - garlic baked chicken (hexb), tomato, cucumber, rice
Snack - sweet chilli snack a jacks (5.5 syns), ice lolly (3 syns)

It drives me absolutely nuts. She's meant to be the supervisor, so I have no idea why she doesn't take it seriously. I can see me going off on a tangent so I think I'll stop there :giggle:

Thinking of doing something different for breakfast tomorrow morning, so far I'm thinking fruit salad, topped with a banana muller light and a couple of slices of toast. Should keep me feeling nice and full until lunchtime :D
 
Thanks hun, it feels really good at the moment. And it's probably down to the fact that I can cook for me and Chris rather than just doing my food and then him doing his own. I don't like eating on my own, it makes me feel really awkward and embarassed :eek:

Snack - cheese and ham toastie (hexb and hexa)
Dinner - chilli con carne and cheese (hexa)

Sorry to hear about your wages dilemma. Hopefully it'll sort itself out soon. Great news that Chris is going to support you more with the food plan though. Me and my GF always eat the same stuff and it really helps keep us on track. Usually if one of us feels like having something unhealthy for dinner, the other disagrees so it helps keep us both on track.

Also totally impressed you've started Just Dance 3!! I have the second one on the Wii and it is hard going. You should be properly chuffed with yourself for getting through 2 songs! Every time you do it it's gonna get easier. Good luck!!

It would be getting easier if I hadn't pulled my tummy muscles :8855: I did that Girls Aloud song on saturday and sunday I was in agony, down both sides of my tummy, I could hardly move, feeling a bit better today so back on it tomorrow when I go home :)

Having a nice easy 100% day today so am hoping I can keep this up :D
